I suffer with Fibromyalgia, and that triggered off Peripheral Neuropathy. My feet burn 🔥terrible with pins & needles pain. Plus I'm soo sensitive to any pain. If I knock my feet I just wanna screem or die for the pain...Dam why must things like that happen to us. 😪. I'm a very positive person. I try hard to ignore the pain but it's not that easy. I do get relief from putting my feet into warm to hot water. I'm a woman of 76 but I still get on top of my roof to fix any leaks. My husband died 22 years ago. So I never give up. Be positive and don't give up. May God bless you all that are suffering 🙏

Good advice. I worry about the long-term consequences of medicines like ibuprofen 800 mg and gabapentin. I just went to my first podiatrist. We did not discuss to some of the options you brought up. I'm going to definitely call on him for some answers based on your recommendations. I'm happy to see you're not some get rich quick scheme by taking $50 for my pocket. plenty of doctors seem to practice the hipocritical oath, instead of the Hippocratic
      oath!

@Get on the cross and don’t look back Quoting the bible is about as insensitive as telling people, 'Just be happy!' Repent? You go ahead and repent. I'm not a sinner like you people. -Ex-Christian. p.s. Can't you people be original for once and say something that comes from the heart and spirit, instead of some dark ages mythical quote? NEUROPATHY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DIET !!! MY FUTURE SON IN LAW HAS DEVELOPED A MEDICINE THAT KILLS 90 % OF THE BURNING AND PIN AND NEEDLES AND COLD AND HOT FEET OF MINE IN THE 1ST 7 DAYS !!!! AND GOING ON 3 WEEKS NOW I CAN FEEL MY TOES AGAIN AND IT DOESN'T HURT TO WEAR SHOES.
I HAD TO WEAR ASICS NIMBUS SHOES AND THEN GET A NEW INSERT FOR THEM SO THAT COMES UP TO AROUND $180 DOLLARS A PAIR...

No pain at all. I have had MRIs, preparing for injection. I have been to Podiatrist, Neurologist & Neurosurgeon. Your video has given me more insight than all of them . I had very high blood sugar too. instead of posting some cringe video as a comment, I'll just tell you how I fixed it. I stopped eating sugar and carbs. Some chicken and salad is much better then chicken and rice. My A1c dropped to 4.9 and I no longer need insulin. The real secret is just don't eat sugar or carbs in the fist place!! Unfortunately this won't cure nephropathy but it can prevent further damage from high blood sugar. Good luck everybody!

I am about to turn fifty soon and I am living proof that diabetic neuropathy absolutely CAN be completely reversed! have been diagnosed with early-stage type 2 diabetes and was experiencing diabetic neuropathy. It first started when my friend invited me to a church service where I was sitting for two and a half hours. When I went to stand up and walk, my left leg was completely weak and stiff.I couldn't even stand on it at all, much less take a step forward. This same thing kept happening to me anytime I was sitting for more than 15 minutes at a time. In addition to that, I would feel tingling sensations in my feet and toes, especially in the morning.
I started reading up on what I was experiencing and when I learned that it could eventually lead to amputation, it scared the bejesus out of me! I went on a 21-day raw food fast, into a 5-day liquid vegetable juice fast and lastly transitioned into a 4 day water fast (yeah, I know I went a tad extreme, but it worked out). Once I came off the fast, I completely changed my diet. I cut out sugar, stop drinking packaged/bottled fruit juice and of course sodas, even the ones that contain artificial sweeteners. I also cut out wheat, rice and white potatoes. I incorporate a lot of raw and cooked vegetables and limit my fruit intake to only one fruit per day (preferably not bananas). I had already been a pescatarian for a little over 2 years prior to this recent dietary change anyway and I rarely used dairy products such as milk, cream and cheese. The key to reversing diabetic neuropathy is to treat the insulin resistance and fatty liver that are causing it in the first place, primarily through diet and also by adding in exercise (you won't believe the magical effect that 20 minutes of brisk walking 4 days a week can have on your body).
Bottom line, you CAN reverse diabetic neuropathy as well as early stage type 2 diabetes without any medication at all.

We find peripheral neuropathy is not always just peripheral neuropathy. Many times there are some correctable biomechanical issues that can be the true source of pain. Other times it may be advanced neuropathy that benefits most from repairing significant health issues likes diabetes or chemotherapy if possible.

My nerve pain is from trauma/injury. Your tips have helped. Thank you for your awareness. When I feel better I’ll walk too fast or pull/carry too much weight & I’ll aggravate the nerve & I’ll feel pain in different parts of my foot & sometime the pain goes to the leg. The leg pain goes away & I’ll be left with pain in the foot that moves around depending on the day.

Doctor, you tell it like it is. At the age of eighty-four, I really feel it. I have been told that I have nerve damage and at first, I didn't believe that it was by being abused as a child. I investigated it through a well-known source and according to psychologists and physicians, it made sense. I was beaten in my spine and there was time, I was crying, and then nothing. Everything turned gray. I thought my life was ending. Another time, I almost got electrocuted by playing with electricity as a child and I froze, then started shaking and everything grayed out. Fortunately, I fell to the floor and the leads broke loose. I remember my whole body feeling like I was being jabbed with a million needles for a length of time afterward. I was also told that it could have caused nerve damage. Now I suffer with great pain and none of the doctors can fix it. Someone told me who suffers from neuropathy, and he recommended that I obtain a natural product which is R-Alpha Lipoic Acid, 100 mg and I just got it in the mail today. It didn't cost much because it is a trial. The person I was mentioning said that he takes 600 mg a day and it works. Once the trial is over, it is expensive. It must show me that it will work. I also must check with my doctor if it is OK to take it because of the many meds that I take and the many different conditions that I have. Right now, I am going to physical therapy and taking a tai chi class. Doctors just don't know what to do for me. I just don't want to continually be in pain and interrupt my sleep and I cannot use a BiPAP device because of it. Please excuse me for mentioning my childhood but that I believe was the cause of it. Personally, if the doctors don't know what to do, I certainly don't, either. I have been told just to live with it. I am glad I came across your video and hopefully, I can put it to beneficial use. Thanks again for your presentation.

Sadly, my neurologist was at a lose to explain what killed my nerve to cause PN. I have no pain from the mid thigh all the way down. I also have no balance because my brain cannot feel what it’s walking on and will stop me from walking till I look down and it can see I’m okay to continue. So I’m left with legs that are almost useless and I must make sure I don’t get cut because I’ll never know I’m bleeding. The same thing that killed the nerve in my legs is now destroying the nerves in my arms and hands. My right arm and hand are going dead, so I guess it won’t be long before I’m a quadriplegic. My doctors finally figured out what killed the nerves. I have a very rare blood disorder caused by what is known as Kappa IgM MGUS which is turning into Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. So because it was caused by my Kappa IgM MGUS, (updated) only 1 of us per 3.5 Million males have it for the entire population of the United States, that will be a fellow sufferer. Be thankful you only have regular neuropathy instead of my type.

@@giovannimaisano9194 Mary, so sorry to hear of your struggles to survive and live as normal a life as possible. Your case remains me of my sister Beverly. She had a rare brain tumor that looks like a Star Fish. She went into surgery as a 35 year old woman but came out of it with the mentally of a 6 year old and wasn’t able to do anything for herself. The doctor explained that simply touching the brain can cause many problems. Sadly she died completely paralyzed, having petit mal seizures every minute. So you can see why your physical problems are related to the brain.
As for walking, I too went thru therapy but suffered injuries related to other health issues. As for looking down, I solved that mystery. Like you said, you can’t feel anything you’re walking on, me neither. So I look down only momentarily for the brain to see there is something to step on and my doctors agreed. Even tho we can’t actually feel the floor, your brain used the image of it to allow you to walk. I did find out that the image is only temporary and will fade from my memory and stop walking till I look down again. If I take to long a step, the image is gone, I stop, look down and being to walk again. To counter the image loss, I take much shorter steps which helps my brain to retain the image longer. That technique may work for you too.
And yes, people will see blood on my legs and warn me of it because I couldn’t feel it happening either. The skin has its on sense of feelings other than pain, itching, heat, cold, pressure, things like that and bones have their own set of pain sensors. If you break a bone, you’ll feel it but you may not know how it happened. My blood is turning cancerous attacking my bone marrow and I sure can feel that pain. It also blocks up the lymphatic drainage system, which if it’s touched, will release a toxin that oozes to the surface of the skin that itches so intense, I literally scratch my lower legs bloody because I can’t feel the pain of ripping skin open. March 4th, I had a blood clot go thru my brain causing all kinds of problems and then on March 10th another clot went thru my heart so violently, I screamed in pain. So Mary, live and love today because tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. My heart is so bad, I can instantly die between the first half of the heartbeat and the second half. We all have our own problems, don’t we, take care!

I have herniated disc between C5-C7 and L2-L4 from a grazing GSW to the temple that spun me 360° by the neck, as I've grown older and had new x-rays and MRI's done I found out now I have numerous bone spurs in the neck area of the spine. The last EMG test I had done the Neurologist was amazed I was still able to work. There were so many issue I'm not going to bother listing because I don't care to type all day on this tablet.
The Neurosurgeon highly recommended trying a steroid shot under anesthesia by a pain management Dr. I have to admit I felt like a youngster again but that only lasted for a couple of weeks and it's too damned expensive to have done on a regular basis so he recommended that I should consider fusing the vertebrae. Nope, nobody's going to be cutting on my neck, I've just learned to cope with the pain and pray every night for relief which comes and goes.
I will try some of these and see, thanks for your video, maybe I'll find some permanent relief!

I had neck surgery and regret it now. I still have shooting pain and burning sensations down my leg especially at night... hopefully, these exercises will help alleviate some of the pain...at 68, I will not let anyone cut on me again...this has been a nightmare.

Thank you Doctor, I am so grateful to you for giving this information in detail which I find most useful. I am 75 years old woman has been suffering from this nerve pain for the last 10 years tried all kinds of medical pills but your personal demonstration is right to the mark. Certainly those stretching exercises are most effective with a few asanas of Yoga are better than a handful of pills which are damaging to body and inexpensive.

Excellent video … would like to mention that at 68 (lots of chronic pain) please ensure these exercises are do able for seniors that cannot bend like u are. I broke my right ankle 2023 summer. One week later cellulitis developed ensuring that i could no longer wear an air cast. So soft laced up boot used. I never quit having pain. Turned into stabbing, tingling, numbness, etc. Compression socks helps lots even now 8 months later. Was diagnosed with CRPS. Went to a sports clinic this week and said not CRPS but neuropathy nerve pain. Besides several of your suggestions like exercise Dr. Started me anti depressant for nerve pain. It makes me crazy drowsy so far but only a few days in. Tried pregabalin but stopped as it made me super trippy. Incidentally my uninjured ankle on left side has nerve pain too. This is not fun at all.

I’m 69 y.o. and I’m in reasonably good shape but I had fairly severe nerve pain. The root cause of my pain turned out to be a severe vitamin B deficiency. My doctor put me on a sublingual vitamin B12, 5-MTH and vitamin B1 regimen. I’m doing great, now. Awesome video with great recommendations.

I am 72, vegan, had a car accident two years ago, no alcohol, no smoking, zero facial wrinkles, no pharmaceutical meds except the occasional Tylenol. I am active, stretch, get massages but sometimes wake up with leg cramps that make me scream, so much pain in my feet, legs, thighs, glutes, etc when I walk, to the point where I have to stop, sit down, stretch and rest before going on. Doctors say it's because of arthritis and aging. What do you think? Am I past the point of no return? LOL. Thanks!

The supplement Calm with calcium might help that problem. I used to have those issues until a holistic MD figured out I had a magnesium deficiency, which many people have. Magnesium and potassium is very low in US crops, so eating a magnesium- and potassium-rich diet is difficult even for vegans. Your body being involved in a car accident could have been stressful on your adrenals, and the adrenals love magnesium and potassium during stressful - physical, chemical, or emotional - times. Vitamin C might be very helpful, as well. The adrenals are vitamin C-rich glands. 👍🏾👏🏾

Had back & feet issues for along time( In Nursing) In 2016 had back surgery, fix my back to a point, but increase foot problem.
Very active till my feet get to hurting,
Fell like Heavey Vice in around both ankle s and feet.
I've talk with my podiatrist and he said it's got a lot to do with old age.
I'm 64, I m still young at heart Very Active, and I refuse not to be ambulatory or go to a hospital bed so I pushed through whatever pain issues and I do my best. Don't like taking a lot of pills ,that cloud my judgment I want to be aware and alert for as long as I can you do whatever I can.
Do excise, but not quite like what you showed.

I have unique nerve pain in both feet - have been tested by my general practitioner who has now moved me up to a neuro consult. I have burning and tingling in both feet both the top of my feet and the bottom of my feet have issues. Ultra sensitive on the bottom of both feet. Unable to bend any of my toes (you know like when we try to pick up our dirty clothes off the floor with our toes) - Super painful to put shoes on and if I do get socks on - taking them off is like a trip to H.E. double hockey sticks. But I can still feel the little fishing line tester everywhere it's placed on my foot. It has getting to the point where I can't even walk around anymore. Lucky enough I live in the west so the weather allows me to where flip flops all the time or I would never be able to go anywhere. I wouldn't wish this kind of pain on my worst enemy.

I have a neuropathy on my left foot that irradiated to the outside of my leg, this happens after I injured my spine L5-S1 and a deep thrombophlebitis in my left calf at the same time. This happened in December 2019 . I got treatment for the thrombophlebitis and I took Lyrica for one year, my foot still burning and painful but not as much as before I think it will take longer time to heal my nerves but make sense to me to go see a Podiatrist doctor to see if he can help. My foot pain came after I had Covid. I noticed my feet getting sore while I lay in bed but just assumed it was through lack of walking. It got so bad that three weeks later I was seriously thinking of getting a wheel chair. I found a Doctor who practises Chinese medicine. He has helped with nerve pain but now the rest is up to me. I must do these foot exercise and look for that ankle board. So 6 weeks later I have turned the corner with the pain now for the exercises. Thank you so much.

I was very athletic as a kid, soccer, cheerleading, gymnastics, swimming, and just being a kid. The leg injuries have been plenty in my life so far, 49. I stretch every morning while blow drying my hair upside down, use a topical at night, my homemade cbd or over the counter. So it works, that night until it hurts again. Sleeping isn't usually a problem but occasionally I get restless leg/tingling feet and I can't go to sleep. My doctor put me on Gabapentin right off but I noticed no difference and stopped it due to posdible long-term side effects. 🙃 Seriously put a stop to all my post-retirement hiking. Bummer!
