But I’ll say the same thing I did on the last video about this, I call this form Angel Kaneki or Archangel Kaneki. Mainly derived from the wings he mainly uses, and just to clarify I have not watched the video yet, but to me This is Ishida’s way of showing us what the first ghoul looked like. A “perfect” being of sorts. A ghoul not being trapped into one kagune type. (After watching) Ok wow I guess I was on the right track :D

The thing about different Kagune types being derived from different places is really interesting. Because... in human body, the back is an undefended region... you can defend your back from attacks, you can't reach it with your arms and legs so the ancient ghouls developed the Kakuhou in the back so they can protect that blind spot... depending on how they're gonna need the Kagune, what kind of defense or attack strategy they need... depending on the region and the resources available fro survival.

So basically his body either reverted to the "primordial ghoul" state, or ascended to a more evolved form of said ghoul state.
So Dragon somehow rewrote his genome to give him some more resilient DNA, negating the regeneration issue he was suffering from. This might have been a necessary step for Dragon to maintain its form, perhaps it's altered Kaneki (it's nucleus) for the purpose of self preservation. This may have actually caused him to become physiologically similar to the original ghouls with multiple kinds of RC cells.
This would kinda be similar to Shikorae, who I think was able to absorb RC cells and present the characteristics of multiple RC types.

@@williamanderson7363 Where does that name come from? It wasn't stated in the last chapter and pretty sure it wasn't in Ishida's letter, but a few weeks after the last chapter came out, everyone started calling her Ichika. Was there some article I missed or is this still just speculation?

Maybe I'm wrong but during the fight against dragon rize he shows all the kagunes of his friends, there's shuu's blade, nishiki's tail and the one that you talked about in this video is touka's one.

I actually thinks the dragon form is because his immense cannibalism at the same type makes his RC level cause him to mutate. Each Oggai at that time is a post Yamori Kaneki, meaning their Rc level is high. The Oggai squad is about one to two hundreds, so it's a tons of rc. And dragon form is the necessary form to contain the rc

Been feeling nostalgic TG lately. I wanna re read it, but before that I've been watching analysis videos like these, or reading them up online so I can better understand and appreciate things when re-reading it once more.
Your videos are awesome desrosa and i like the theories of the origins of ghouls and how did humans evolved into ghouls, and maybe perhaps they used to belong from an all powerful ancient civilization back a long time ago before any recorded history of our world, probably around 30 to 40 thousand years ago. Last week i did mention the theory of radiation being involved, and hell maybe there could be any ancient powerful ghouls that can transform into kaiju like creatures and would probably be in a dormant state until someone found them and awakened them. I hope the next one would have a Kaiju genre in it, and maybe we should call dragon kaneki into kaiju kaneki lol. I'm smelling a godzilla/tokyo ghoul crossover and i need to read one soon, because no one didn't even make a fanfiction crossover of godzilla and tokyo ghoul.

Not really a natural half ghoul like Eto but clearly something much more now after emerging from Dragon. If he eats human food now then you could say he's more of a natural one-eyed, but the manga has not touched upon that.

He is long past a natural one eyed ghoul, rize had the potential to become the strongest ghoul in the series then she became one with kaneki, making him a one eyed ghoul who are typically stronger than the full blooded ghouls

i feel that kaneki turned into a "original ghoul" with no human left inside him possibly like (just a guess) the first ghouls to exist. maybe the first ghouls somehow intertwined with normal humans evolving them to be more human like with their organs and losing some of their kagune's over hundreds of years. Its possible his dragon form could also just be an evolution of what ghouls may turn into if evolved.

It makes a lot of sense that the first ghoul wouldn't have a kakuja because you need other ghouls to get a kakuja while the first ghoul is well the first ghoul

Just talking about the part when you say no full kakuja was shown at any point on Kaneki. I may be wrong but when Hide ‘helps’ Kaneki at the end of TG before ‘fighting’ Arima and just after taking Amon’s arm, doesn’t he have a full kakuja? There was even a full-page panel dedicated to a full-kakuja Kaneki staring at a human Hide who’s got his arm on the ghoul’s shoulder.
He was like one winged angel sephiroth from ff7 just less crazy

the first ghoul wont have any specific kagune
its just one type but different tribes use it differently than others until thier body adapt to it creating the what we know now the kagune types
