I feel really bad for Rize I used to think she was just evil but her character is more complex that that, it's interesting to see her development through-out the manga.
Through flashbacks we got to see more to her, but it still wasn't much. I wish her character was developed fully. She wasn't evil, but she (in my opinion) wasn't a good person, but still. She didn't deserve what she went through at Aogiri Tree then again by the hands of Kanou and Furuta.
I really think that everyone, regardless of whether they've read the manga or not should watch your videos because you explain everything in great detail which might get missed out or misinterpreted in the manga (and well, the anime doesn't even have half the scenes.) And I'm so happy that I found your channel. I love the Tokyo Ghoul series and was glad when I found a channel talking about it. Also, your voice is really calming and I love the art in your videos. I want Rize back. Every main hero or villain got their power from her. She's the main protagonist, antagonist etc. Why aren't gifted people ever allowed to reach their potential? Imagine what the story would've been if Rize was free
I feel like Rize is not being reborn, but was more like a mother giving birth to the dragon orphans. Few moments in manga that give me that idea. 1. Furuta said he wanted to destroy everything. He did hold grudge towards Rize who completely forgot about him after he helped her escaped. And his treatment to Rize afterwards doesn't look like he's reviving her. 2. Furuta was capturing Rize twice to harvest her. Doesn't look like act of love that he want to make her reborn and then live happily together 3. Furuta said he wanted to make babies with Rize 101 Dalmatians style, hence the Oggai and dragon orphans.. 4. The dragon orphan lair is directly underneath Rize, sort of like the movie Godzilla, the female monster lay her eggs.. So i got the feel that Rize was the mother. I think Kaneki is the dragon that Furuta mean. He was surprised to see kaneki alive, he probably think his way of destroy the world is giving the world a dragon. So overall i don't feel like Rize is being reborn, but more like being used as a tool, again. My pov...

I'm dissapointed for the lack of exposition furuta could have told to Kaneki in his deathbet. He could atleast explain the reason he built dragon (immorality, because of the half lifespan thing) and tell kaneki that by killing dragon he would also kill his dream or sth. The build up was just so good and it amounted to absolute nothing just convoluted dots that you have to connect. So much potential..
An issue I have with Tokyo ghoul is we never saw how strong Rize was we only hear about it, I wish we at least had a flash back bc explaining Kanekis strength from Rize doesn’t feel earned
The way I view Dragon, to try to explain its functions is that Dragon is like a giant ghoul, the dragon orphans are like rc-cells and each "nucleus" is like a kakuhou.
Can you please talk about the potential of Uta's character? He seems like wasted potential, in the manga it seemed like he was a very very big deal for the story.. yet he turned out to be nothing more than an emo gothic Renji obsessed loser..
Uh he was the leader of the clowns while donato was in cochlea, also him and yomo had beef since they were kids, pretty sure they're the reason for people talking about cannibals taking over those couple of wards

Yeah she would of been, it's interesting as Kaneki never knew Rize - He imagined this part of hr that started out manipulating and torturing him which further developed into almost being a person he could talk too - She was after all a part of himself both mentally and physically - This also means he imagined her being happy in the end - but from what we seen she would have been happy to die due to the immense pain and prior torture she under-went and the insanity of not eating.
All kaneki needed to do was get some more steel beams. (But in all honesty I’m pretty sure that there was a point where someone said that some ghouls are allergic to plastic and metal.)
The reborn Rize may have had the memories of the previous Rize but she wasn't actually her, just a "clone" (probably the best analogy) who had the memories of Rize.
It would have been thee Rize - Her cells were in the sac - So she would have been normal the only difference is she would have had extremely more potent cells mixed with the RC cells of Eto, Yamori etc all the ghouls Kaneki cannibalized.

Maybe her body was weak, she couldn't live or heal properly and she was so mentally unstable that Furuta didn't want to live with that Rize... the Rize who used him to run away.... maybe he wanted to live with his own version of Rize... or he wanted Rize to rise from that state of weakness and give her all the power and be that immortal being. Then again... Did Furuta really want to kill all the ghouls? And destroy the world? I mean Dragon wasn't only a birthing tool that will benefit Furuta to make Rize, it was a cross-over between the fruit of Kahno's experimentations (because he wanted to bring his mother back to life as he refused to do nothing about the repeated cycle of life and death) and Furuta's intention to destroy everything. Who said there was only one original ghoul, it could be that a few humans just evolved into ghouls , but were different species but since they lived in the same environment , there evolutions were similar and when they bred , they created new kagunes etc so it could be that the original ghouls were weaker or it could be that they were stronger. Also , if there were only one original ghoul, that ghoul would've had to breed together with a human so their offspring(s) would've been less pure than the original one.
Furuta wanted to live with rize right? Why tf didnt he just free the og rize from all those tests and go somehwere else like another country far far away and live with her instead of killing her and making a new one somehow.
Kaneki Ken for the most part I can only assume V pushed his hands shut, he couldn’t do anything until Rize was reborn and he could dip with her while V was distracted.
Kaneki Ken It was Vs, they dealt with the naga serpent that came before and seen the potential, they set it in motion with Dr Kanou then furuta to capture and experiment in Rize to try make a half ghoul that had Rize’s RC cells (that’s was Kaneki) furuta was in the plan but he had ulterior motives, he gained full control over the CCG but didn’t know Hide would come back and rival him so he lost it. He also couldn’t turn against V or he would have been killed, so he waited till the time was right to snatch Rize which is want he wanted from the beginning and run, but he ultimately died to Kaneki. Kaneki recognizes how similar they both are, wanting a life they never got. It’s rather sad in the grand scheme of things.

Kaneki Ken So Hide knew everything about the V .Org and Washuu family to scary detail, (most likely due to Eto) V seen this an actually wanted to kill him but could never find him. I assume hide had connections with the CCG human side also because of his adoptive fathers being CCG detectives. When Furuta took over the CCG, Hide found Marude and Matsuri and joined them back together to fight Furuta. Obviously Hide wanted to help Kaneki but he needed to reclaim the CCG before that.
Sui Ishida is a horrible person for what he did to Rize. He said Rize is his type of girl in real. I bet his type of girl rejected him in real... Imagine taking all that out on a helpless character he created in his mind, he ruined his own creativity because of some girl who rejected him. Rize is the best character in the entire anime, the strongest, most dangerous. And she barely got any screen time, and went through the most. She didn't deserve that, she got ruined all because of the writers personal problems. I feel really really sad for her. Imagine people using your ripped out organs in front of you and stealing your life while you're bent over in a tank. And eventually you get killed by your own kagune? Sui Ishida sucks

Who said there was only one original ghoul, it could be that a few humans just evolved into ghouls , but were different species but since they lived in the same environment , there evolutions were similar and when they bred , they created new kagunes etc so it could be that the original ghouls were weaker or it could be that they were stronger. Also , if there were only one original ghoul, that ghoul would've had to breed together with a human so their offspring(s) would've been less pure than the original one.

Furuta wanted to live with rize right? Why tf didnt he just free the og rize from all those tests and go somehwere else like another country far far away and live with her instead of killing her and making a new one somehow.
Kaneki Ken for the most part I can only assume V pushed his hands shut, he couldn’t do anything until Rize was reborn and he could dip with her while V was distracted.

Kaneki Ken It was Vs, they dealt with the naga serpent that came before and seen the potential, they set it in motion with Dr Kanou then furuta to capture and experiment in Rize to try make a half ghoul that had Rize’s RC cells (that’s was Kaneki) furuta was in the plan but he had ulterior motives, he gained full control over the CCG but didn’t know Hide would come back and rival him so he lost it. He also couldn’t turn against V or he would have been killed, so he waited till the time was right to snatch Rize which is want he wanted from the beginning and run, but he ultimately died to Kaneki. Kaneki recognizes how similar they both are, wanting a life they never got. It’s rather sad in the grand scheme of things.

Kaneki Ken So Hide knew everything about the V .Org and Washuu family to scary detail, (most likely due to Eto) V seen this an actually wanted to kill him but could never find him. I assume hide had connections with the CCG human side also because of his adoptive fathers being CCG detectives. When Furuta took over the CCG, Hide found Marude and Matsuri and joined them back together to fight Furuta. Obviously Hide wanted to help Kaneki but he needed to reclaim the CCG before that.

Imagine taking all that out on a helpless character he created in his mind, he ruined his own creativity because of some girl who rejected him.
Rize is the best character in the entire anime, the strongest, most dangerous. And she barely got any screen time, and went through the most. She didn't deserve that, she got ruined all because of the writers personal problems. I feel really really sad for her. Imagine people using your ripped out organs in front of you and stealing your life while you're bent over in a tank. And eventually you get killed by your own kagune? Sui Ishida sucks
