I used to get chills watching anime, but that hasn’t happened in a long time. I haven’t been able to enjoy anime for about a year now. I hope to be able to revisit it someday and be pleasantly surprised
This was a double edged sword episode, as Kaneki both won and lost. He won the fight but he lost himself to what he fought against during the anime and that was the loss of his human side, or more precisely what counted as his human side to him. It is a bittersweet battle. Though to be fair it wasn't the loss it was supposed to be as it was accepting both sides of who he was, as none of us are one dimensional, and that is when he allowed himself access to his kagune.
Almost 7 years later and I still remember every second of this fight with the dialogue. This show and it’s music really takes me on a crazy nostalgic trip every time.
About 5 years ago in grade 7, my best friend recommended this anime, this was the first ever anime that I have watched(aside from the ones the pops up in the TV) and i really enjoyed every bit of this series. Me and my friend would spend alot of time talking about it in school even doing the hand cracking thing. Sadly I had to get transferred out in a public school in grade 9 because my family moved out to a different place and we can no longer afford to pay the tuition fee (it was a private school). I really miss all the memories I've had with him, he was really the only person that I can consider my best friend. We're about to go in college next school year, and seeing this sence brings me back to those moments I've had with him 4-5 years ago.

This season was at top in my anime list and even had a large fanbase. I don't know why production got delayed so many times and next seasons didn't make justice to this series. So sad this series end like this 😢 😞 💔
On the whole things happen - IP rights get mishandled by lawyers, production funds run out and the crew ends up beign fired as a result of those cost overruns. It's not just anime, it's happened countless times with live action film adaptations like Superman II, Dune, Blade Runner etc etc. The production of Alien was so beset with film studio bean counters nipping at Ridley Scott's heels over costs that it could easily have ended with his dismissal and someone else like Roger Corman being hired to finish it which would have destroyed it completely.

The stories portrayed in shows like Tokyo Ghoul, Death Note (when L is there), AoT, Berserk, will always hold a special place in my heart. I used to get chills watching anime, but that hasn’t happened in a long time. I feel like I’m getting to the point sadly where I’ve experienced all of my emotions to strong degrees in all aspects, and so the novelty of everything has begun to wear off. I haven’t been able to enjoy anime for about a year now. I hope to be able to revisit it someday and be pleasantly surprised
take a break then?
After L died its like the writer forgot how to write a smart character and just had the antagonist know everything.
Go watch demon slayer, had me balls deep in some nostalgic chills. Totally gets you in that same mindset of anime being amazing
@@smokedupgaming it's just a common story with good animation.
Very different but 'Your Name' is also an amazing anime movie that isn't too old 👍🏻
When he says "what's a thousand minus 7" back to Jason I got chills 🥶🥶
Damn the other seasons could not top this moment... Need a good studio to faithfully reboot and adapt Sui Ishidas work for Tokyo Ghoul!

I mean technically the dialogue is mostly Jason calling Kaneki
MY GOD I TEARED UP OF HOW GOOD AND NOSTALGIC THIS FIGHT WAS 😳😭😭

Tokyo Ghoul will always be a nostalgic anime for everyone.
Its 8 years so nostalgia ngl.
This is one of the best closing scenes ever
Manz gave us his whole life story in a anime fight💀
your history souds so good, danm
well on the bright side you got out of private school and went to public
It's never too late to reconnect with old friends :)
You should try and keep in contact with your old friend!

If TG got it’s proper adaptation then it’d surely be one of the greats. Seeing how popular S1 was makes me sad for the rest of it lol. This scene is legendary
Such a good adaptation, its so sad it was never adapted beyond 1 season, hopefully they will continue the anime one day
This is my favorite scene in any anime I've ever watched. I don't think I've gotten goosebumps or as hype as I got for this. Dude the music and everything was so perfect. I watched it several times before I could move on. When he finally gave into his ghoul side. So many animes like this where they finally give in and none of them can top this in my heart ❤️
The only scene that gave me goosebumps near to this is when Goku and frieza fought together in the end of top to take out jiren

I still get chills from this episode. Honestly I dare say this is one of the top best episodes Tokyo Ghoul has to offer.
beautiful scene, last night I finished watching the last episode of the first season
I've loved this song ever since I watched this scene. My man Kaneki went from a blunt knife to a machine gun within seconds.
This scene is a masterpiece, kaneki accepting his ghoul side and that in order to protect his loved ones, he needs to fight back, and last but not least the op, just a brilliant final
it's not at all i use to think it was good but after watching hundereds of anime as this was one of my first i can say with certainty that this is below adverage 4 at best.

I love how Kaneki got pierced through the gut and thrown into a wall hard enough to rain debris from the ceiling but proceeded to walk it off like it was nothing, and yet we see him get completely taken down by much weaker hits later on.
Yeah that made no sense to me and it really makes me mad. It makes him look so weak 💀

Legendary moment and an iconic scene...
When Unravel started, it became a whole new sensation to see Kaneki tear down Jason so coldly.... It was so extremely awesome and the singing sends chills... It is like this song was made for the tragedy of Ken Kaneki....
This scene changed my life
This season was at top in my anime list and even had a large fanbase.
I don't know why production got delayed so many times and next seasons didn't make justice to this series.
So sad this series end like this 😢 😞 💔
I know 🤞
Fr it was SO good until the next seasons came out. i couldn't get through them
On the whole things happen - IP rights get mishandled by lawyers, production funds run out and the crew ends up beign fired as a result of those cost overruns.
This will forever be my favorite "main character awakening" moment.
I like when Jason say KANEKI!!!!!

I don't know what it is. But when an anime plays a theme track in a fight it sends shivers down my spine. You just know its going to be epic. Bleach playing Number One always hits the spot but this episode of Tokyo Ghoul hits different in all the right ways.
