I've been using it with the new MASTER 3S Mouse and it has been a great user experience! However, there are certain things that you NEED to be aware of regarding the MASTER 3S.

I love how he includes information on what is like to own the devices. Makes it incredibly easy to decide whether or not it's something I'm interested in. The quieter clicks of the 3s sounded nice, but I'll be sticking to my MX 3 a bit longer.

Had the 3S for a couple weeks now and I love it. Was waiting to buy an MX Master until they came out with a "silent" click like they've had on some of they're $20 mice for years. Not sure what took so long but glad it finally came!

Here in NL, the 3 was regularly selling for Euro 69 (well, mostly 79, but often there were deals for 69). The 3S launches at 129. No, not selling the 3 to buy the 3S, though I would love for my 3 to be silent.

If they had an MX Mechanical TKL in pale grey, I would buy it immediately. I am a Software guy and simply need standard layout but without the num keys... For now I will continue with my G195TKL. I think there are good chances they will also provide a TKL version.

I think going with a low pro mechanical is great even the clicky didn’t seem super loud compared to full size blues. I picked up the linear because tactile just isn’t my thing and love it for work. Gaming was okay if you need to, I still prefer some gaming focused keyboards for that though. Also really like the quiet clicks of the mouse. Didn’t bother me really on the 3 but was something I noticed and thought was loud. No connection issues for me on m1 mac and windows so far.

The quiet clicks on the mouse are great, but I hate loud keyboards. I would class even the browns on this keyboard as being loud. Have the keys mini which is far better for those who also don't like loud keys.

I'm actually interested in getting the MX Mechanical. I've been looking for a mechanical keyboard for under $200 for the last year or two after getting one at work. I normally want to stay away from wireless keyboards, but being able to switch profiles means I can easily use it with my Shield TV Pro. That makes the price a bit easier to swallow. I love the fact that they kept Mac users like myself in mind. Where the issues with the Apple silicon only with the 3S?

I tried this keyboard and this could have been a great product except for the following:
    1. Keycaps quality (fingerprint and keys get shiny)
    2. Not being able to replace keycaps with 3rd party PBT ones because they decided to use non standard stabilizers on space bar and Shift keys
    3. Not able to use it in wired mode
    4. For the money it’s not hot swappable
I hope there will be a v2 version and they fix some of those points

@@theunknownbeing7 I just returned it because of same issue. I don't get why people like that scroll so much. I get fast scroll is helpful when you wan't to scroll up or down a large file but there is no proper feedback even in ratchet mode plus it's not that responsive as mentioned above. Poling rate can be better. It's an expensive mouse but I don't think its a great value. Logitech please give us more buttons instead of making us do stupid mouse gestures. Keyboard is phenomenal though. No complaints

I'd be curious to know how the Mx keys mechanical compares to the low-profile options from keychron (K1 and K3). For mac users this is the other main mainstream mechanical keyboard OEM with mac support out of the box. I tried the low-profile keychron switches and was not a fan (I really like their regular switch options). Too mushy feeling compared to regular mechanical switches. Hoping the Mx mechanical switches feel better.

This looks like real replacement candidate for my Logitech G613 in my office that has issues with double typing and the characters on key caps after 3 years of daily usage really worn out. Also appreciate bluetooth support for quick reconnection between laptop and PC. Battery life 10 months without backlight - also comparable to the old keyboard. I am going for tactile, i need some keypress feedback, but not as much as clicky keyswitch offers.

This is a really great review. Thanks for this. I'll be sticking with my MX Keys and MX Master 3 for a longer time. I'm a bit disappointed with the MX Master 3S not improving on the device switching. I love the MX Keys complete effortless device switching, but the MX Master 3 involves you lifting your mouse and pressing on a very small depressed button. They should have copied the M720 physical buttons, or even better, allow one of the side buttons to be able to be changed as the device swap button. Still, thanks for posting the video.

Logitech Flow can help with that though. But I'm not sure if it allows Mac to PC transition.
These are interesting peripherals for sure but the Bolt receiver, while new, is still something we need to wait further into. I kinda wish they just made these devices backwards compatible with the Unifying Receiver at least for this transition period. I'm rocking the MX Master 2S, still. My keyboard is the Logitech K380 and was holding out for the MX Keys. But I don't have enough horizontal space in my desk for it. The MX Keys Mini might be better but it isn't compatible with the Unifying Receiver...see how annoying that is...?

It's also so strange that there has not been a firmware update for it after it was released? It also seems like it isn't supported for updates through Logi options+ cause the firmware update tool does not recognize or find my mouse..? If they just could fix the issues here this would be the best mouse by a long shot!

I've had connectivity issues with m1 mac and the master 3, it's basically the Bluetooth fails to recognise the mouse. But somehow after reinstalling the software it starts to work again, so maybe you should try that with the 3s?

I still think the volume wheel on the 915 makes it the better home keyboard. Wasn't sure about it when I bought it, but I use it all the time now. I'll buy an MX Mechanical in an instant if I end up desk jockeying at work though.
Same with the 3S. Great for office, but not enough of a change to justify replacing my MX Master 3 at home.

I used to get G915 for a year, and just got MX mechanical days ago. Absolutely love it more than G915. The MX mechanical is the perfect combination of G915 and MX keys.

@@this_katharsis2227 because he needs a low profile keyboard, and logitech low profile keyboards do not have any competition in terms of typing experience and build quality. I also have keychron k1V4, and g915. there is really no comparison, although the g915 is much more expensive. you get what you pay for.

@@mm1nt Difficult to answer, I haven't typed on the MX yet.
I have tried maybe 50-60 different keyboards, and I have now migrated to custom keyboards (gmmk pro, kbd67 lite).
But: the G915 is an absolute beast and THE best production keyboard I have used. Huge battery life, excellent build quality, excellent typing experience (brown tactiles), and great for software engineers (I am one, too). Long typing sessions (16 hours of working remotely) and I haven't felt any fatigue. It seems that the MX takes some new switches (Kailh Choc V2, the G915 has Choc V1, the V2s are a tiny bit higher).
G915 Complaints: Keycaps are prone to breaking if you remove them to clean your keyboard (you need a wired keycaps puller to be safe), and they wobble a bit, both have been fixed with the new switch in the MX, it seems. Also, you can find keycaps for the MX easier, due to the more standard stem
My take: wait for the MX and try it alongside a G915 in a store that allows you to. I believe you can't go wrong with buying either of those.

One of the biggest issues with these logitech LP keys is that you can't get replacement caps, really wish they would sell the sets as the ABS wears out pretty fast

Agreed. Unless you’re an enthusiast, there really should be no reason to buy multiple keyboards besides replacing a broken one. The nice thing about affordable mech kbs is that they’re easy to clean and repair. The switch aspect is just a part of it. Again, unless you’re into kbs.

@@SensibleClem Not true. Maybe this is new since your comment, but NuPhy sells their keycaps separately, including the low profile ones. I don't know if they'll work with this keyboard, but if you bought a NuPhy Air you could replace the keycaps as needed.

I've been a long time user of the Master Mouse series and the new one is just so brilliant in my opinion. The clicky sound has been muted. The scroll and click buttons are so pleasant to use now. the MX keyboard is also brilliant. (silent tactile switches) The best one I've tried. I am a developer and a casual gamer. My advice for people like me is to run and buy these things.

I recently bought the mechanical mini and master 3s to upgrade my desk set up, all being well they will arrive tomorrow. I had been thinking for a while about getting a mechanincal keyboard, I know this is a bit more expensive compared to to the likes of RK84, Nuphy Air 75 and Keychron 3 but Logitech make amazing keyboards and software that goes with it.

Is Logitech Bolt fast enough that it can be used for competitive gaming? Or does it least use the data connection via USB-C for a lag-free connection? I desperately want this keyboard, but if I can't use it for gaming, I'll be looking for another option.
