I loved this, but I wonder how many rejected authors will email the URL to editors who have rejected them. I think the rule should be, you can only email the URL to an editor if (a) they solicited the piece from you especially for this issue/anthology, saying your work was what inspired them to chose this theme, but then just sent you a form rejection; and/or (b) sat on the piece for more than a year, responding to your queries with "it's still under consideration/has passed the first two hurdles", while two other (possibly better) markets opened and closed on that theme while you waited to hear back. :-)
Just the laugh I needed. I'll be returning here every time the rejections start getting me down...
Love this. You tell 'em, Francesca!
Brilliant, Francesca .. can I play this (audio) on my radio program?
Hey databirds, if you email me I can put you in touch with Francesca to ask for permission.
@@blankversefilms6840 I used the contact form on the website, hopefully that'll get to you. Thanks.
@@databirds You can email me at blankversefilms@gmail.com.

Sounds like poets need an official "Email The Editors Who Have Rejected You" Day where anything flies.
I really do wish to give it a like, but it's at 69 likes right now and this just seems complicit to the poem.
It's a moment to savor while it lasts.
LOL!
