I’m so glad you guys are still posting content. You’re the channel that got me into 3D and helped me score my first 3D job. I then spent years working as a 3D artist which kickstarted my whole career! Big thanks from Switzerland!
If you clone the spline, put the cloner into a connect, then sweep all of that, the simulation should work. Also put the rope tag on the Cloner. It worked for me, good luck and keep making awesome products, I can't do my job with out them.
Seems to work very well as above, but also using the Redshift object tag and material on the connect object to create capsules (match the thickness to the rope radius, play with the mass) and skipping the sweeps altogether. Super-fast.
hmm this didn't work for me, got cloned spline in connect, connect in sweep, tag on cloner.. sim doesn't work (but if I turn off connect it works).. am I missing something?
As a loyal user of the Greyscalegorilla plugin, I am very happy to have been educated by Cinema 4D from Greyscalegorilla, it has helped me a lot, thank you!
I'm currently running the MacBook Pro M1 Max. It's currently the fastest mac you can buy. My Studio M1 Ultra should be here next month. Happy to share more then.
@@Greyscalegorilla Hi Nick, Manny here and a current sub to your HUB, Thanks for your reply on this and would most definitely love to see your workflow using the new Studio M1 Ultra, you are currently using a 14 or 16 can't remember from your last vid with Chad. Thanks again.
Maybe it's been solved already but the way I cloned the new ropes dynamic was that I placed a clone object inside the sweep, cloning only the segment spline. then I put the clone object and its spline child inside a connect object. now I just move the rope tag from the segment spline to the cloner. like this: SWEEP - nside - CONNECT - CLONER. [rope dyn tag] - segment spline Worked for me. I hope it helps someone. 🤘
Someone might correct me, but I think that's the name of the dynamics engine since before it was incorporated into C4D. Maybe back around R12. They just didn't call it that in the interface.
can you please make a tutorial on same rope like structure to make count down like this reel showing. that would be a great help for making other things simulated using same method. ua-cam.com/users/shortsQUhNqlbxL4I

Same here, love these guys

Thanks! I've been experimenting with that and it's working well. Thanks for being a Customer!

I got a bit confused by this. So for the last step, do you mean Sweep the Connect (which contains the 'Cloner' and 'Segment' Spline) with the n-Side?

How to colorize randomly this setup?
nice to see another great-scale gorilla tutorial again!! 🙌
Glad you like them! Stay tuned.
when I add a rope simulation tag it simple doesn't work... nothing moves
love your tutorials, so quick and to the point!
Thanks for watching!
I got it working with a cloner.
Spline inside cloner. Rope tag on the cloner. Cloner inside connect. Sweep the connect Johnny.
Please make a tutorial how can I make a Knots of ropes in a dydamic. Knots are colliding by itselfs - how fix it
Super excited for this update!
Us too!
god i missed this guy !!

So you prevented intersections between the noodles by making the noodle thicker?
How did you get them to clump up? Was it just a matter of length and position of the sweeps?
Amazing tutorial. Thanks.
Thanks! Glad you like it.
I did a right click and drag on the soft roll, now if I click Play the position clock starts but my ti cursor does not move and I cant
thanks for the tut nick, question i see you switched back to mac, could you pls elaborate on which mac you decided to adopt and why?
Up! I want to buy the new Mac Studio this autumn, I'm curious if Nick is using it and his thoughts about it!

Yep. Got one on the way. Hope to do videos soon after I get one.
Why did you switch back to mac?

Is there a way to bake the dynamics?
that was exactly what I needed , thank you so much
Does anyone know if the Plus Membership is meant for beginners? Or is it more made for people who already have experience with Cinema 4D?
It literally includes a bunch of training for beginners to get better in C4D, Octane, Redshift, Arnold, etc.
did you guys get a chance to test RS CPU rendering on M1 macs? If so, any takes on speed/benchmarks vs what we currently have as top gpu speeds?
On my M1 Max Macbook Pro, the GPU is roughly 10X faster than the CPU version of the same scene in RedShift.
CPU is very slow.
Mr. Fantastic!
Oh my god so good explained thank you!!!!
Glad it helped!
the "noodles" are not visible when I render with physical renderer, but visible when rendered in standard renderer. Anybody an idea why this could be?
Did you get a fix for this? Having same issue
Insane, wow
Thanks for watching!
Suddenly ur gonna see CGI spaghetti commercials for Dolmio's and co everywhere.....
for sure!

did you give up on your pc?
I still use both.
Why do they called it "bullet" tags now?
Someone might correct me, but I think that's the name of the dynamics engine since before it was incorporated into C4D. Maybe back around R12. They just didn't call it that in the interface.
Correct. The tech has always been called Bullet Dynamics. The R12 tech is now in that menu. The new tech is in Simulation.
@@Greyscalegorilla That's kinda fascinating, sort of a zombie naming scheme that just surfaced to the top. Love it.
thank you
Welcome! Thanks for watching!
my boy Reed Richards
Nick is back on a mac, what happened?
I use both. Testing out the new M1 stuff lately. It's pretty fun.
Are you live?
Fallen Sun yeah! e too
It’s all ntal brutha
Thanks Nick! Love from India. Pls share layout
I watched tNice tutorials baked af it actually helps if you get into it

nope. Radius isn't changing anything
Lmao sa
