Hey guys - in the past I’ve received some comments asking for texture and render tips. To make it most helpful what is everyone playing with? Standard, Physical, Redshift?
I would suggest Physical (maybe something with depth of field?). Could probably reach more users. Lots of users dont have third party render engines. I tried corona previously, its quite good. And, thank you! for your tuts and work effort btw. :)
With R26: - Put circle into a connect and add the connect to the Tracer - To reset simmulation, press Shift+F (or Go to Start button) several times, until it refreshes to frame 0 - To turn off gravity go to Ctrl+D -> Bullet -> Put 0 on Gravity there
Sean, I’ve been a watcher/subscriber since almost the very beginning and I gotta tell ya, you seem to be really hitting your stride. This was a completely useful and terrific presentation. All killer no filler - cheers!
I'm trying to figure this out in R26, it doesnt look like it should be too much more difficult but the rings get so distorted and fly off into the abyss 😅😅
Hi! I'm currently following your tutorial but with the apple logo, not Nike. And I'm at 12:04, where I should put the logo in extrude. But my logo isn't extruding. And I just don't understand why. Do you have any tips for me? Thank you so much!
@@SeanDove I got it to "Work" if I put my dynamics tag on the tracer its self and set it to adaptive. Then I just used octane tag for sub div. My playback isn't nearly as smooth as yours in the view port though... I am not sure what the best route is in R25 due to the tracer not reading the tag... Any ideas :D
Good news everyone! I found the problem. In 25 the standard settings for collision has a different setup. Turn off Inherit Tag (none), and Individual Elements (Off). Then it works more as expected.
I tried to recreate the animation with R25, but the tracer didn´t work when the circle is driven by softbody-tag. Everything works fine in R23. Any idea what happend?
The tracer can subdivide the spline to make it smooth without it been calculated with the soft body - if we just started with a dense spline it would explode as the points are closer than the collision margin Hope that helps!

We would like to know your preferred engine. It would be great if you can give some tips on physical render engine.
Redshift would be dope
Redshift 😍
Redshift for sure!

Can you explain more on how to do the first step?
You're a saint for updating! thank you
This channel is the gift that keeps on giving... Thank you for the step by step tutorial.. 🕺🕺🕺
Hey Sean ! That's so cool, I didn't now you could use soft body dynamic on splines 👍

Found this from your instagram story! Inspiring some great ideas, thank you for taking the time. Subscribed.
Great to see you’re back up and running with that tuts! Thank you!
amazing' thanks for coming back!
So awesome! Thanks for showing this process - well explained!
Thank you for this really cool tutorial !
you tuts are really great, please continue doing more !

Very smart! But i don't really understand why you have to use a tracer and not directly the sweep with the dynamic spline?
Thanks 🙏
nice tutorial THANKS ... quite complicated for a beginner like me
SO good thank you !! What did you do with the spline materials / lighting,? looks amazing!!
Thank you for this, great tuts. Is there a reason for not using field force as opposed to several attractors?
I’ve always found the field force makes dynamic objects attracted to each other rather than a physical point which the attractors do nicely
@@SeanDove Thanks
My earphones in my pocket for 1.3 seconds ∆
What does that mean? Do I have it all set a bit loud?
@@SeanDove I think he is trying to say that in some parts of the video there is "poping" soung, like here on 08:25
@@SeanDove Nope. Earphones, in pocket, tangled, nothing familiar?😁

Im so glad that storm breaker is come back 😆🔨⚡️🧔♂️
Just a heads up, that the R25 tracer doesn't update the circle softbody dynamics, but R24 works.
Ah bugger! Try changing the order in the hierarchy to see if having the dynamics or tracer calculate first makes any difference?
@@SeanDove unfortunately I think R25 tracer is broken on updating the dynamics circle, but R24 work flawlessly, thanks for the great tutorial :)

Same problem here! But both for 24 and 25, but got it working in 20. So I'll send a bug report

VERY interesting! BTW: Can you still create materials the "old" way, as separate stacked components, or does C4D now force you to use the Node Editor?
C4D is sooo much easier than 3ds max, crazy how you can just sim something without all kinds of errors
You save lives ❤️

Short update. I contact Maxon and they confirm that this is an bug in R25.
@@MacToecutter Same issue here with R25, is there a fix, are you still able to make it work?
@@Jeezeus yes, there is a workaround. Just put the spline in a connect object und use this in the tracer..
@@MacToecutter It worked thanks
@@itsdavehimself you´re welcome
Great tutorial! Quick Q if you don't mind, why is the tracer needed for this to work?
The tracer can subdivide the spline to make it smooth without it been calculated with the soft body - if we just started with a dense spline it would explode as the points are closer than the collision margin
Hope that helps!
@@SeanDove That makes sense, thanks!
Top class
Hi sean, i tried in r20 but it doesn't work 😞
Nice approche.
How can i learn to do something like this & more?
how to creat Nike spline
for some reason, this trick on TRACER seems not working on R25, don't act like he has the dynamic tag. Tested on S24 and works like a charm!
Same problem. Two steps forward two steps back ...
everytime i get experimental, my shhit crashes i hate it.
perfect ...
Just dhope woooow
can this logo change to text ?
Hi sean can this work on any version r19 and up?
Hey mate, yeah provided you have soft body dynamics you’ll be laughing!
@@SeanDove lol okay i hope so,thanks
