The small detail here that's missing is with how the NIKE logo falls onto the cloth. It would never fall flat and remain flat unless it was made out of a super dense material, and that would still need to be really thick. This looks like it's cut from plastic sheet, so the cloth weight would move the logo around when it falls. Just a small detail that would suspend the disbelief a little more.

Oh I should have mentioned this! Of course, it was a huge inspiration and some pieces are recreations of it! I love the designs and wanted to play with them

Right now I dont use marvelous so much sadly, because I´m having to much fun in c4d. But I hope that I can combine them in the future at some point again...

Very cool tutorial, but I have a very laggy simulation (4fps). My computer is a PC 3060ti(8gb) I5 11400F. 32gb of RAM. Why is this happening? (Cinema4D R25.117)
Yes, I think it can be just slow even on good systems...in that case you could work with a lower poly cloth plane...

of course they have. I've already made one and i can say cloth sim in Blender is very very good

@@sezerturan4371 no. The simulation of cloth in blender is much worse than in Cinema. The simulation is very slow, it takes a long time to set it up to get the desired result. In cinema it's all quicker from setup to cloth simulation. I have experience with it, it's a terrible simulation. Especially when you compare it to Cinema 4D.

Hello! I'm facing a problem, I added cloth to my plane, then added turbulence but the plane just doesn't wave or have turbulence at all regardless of changing the strength and scale. It's just a flat rectangle. I can't seem to find any solutions on the internet either.
I had the same problem! I solved it by clicking play on the animation timeline at the bottom haha!

I just searched for 'sports brand logo' and it was...I think the first search entry to pinterest
i tried this on a mac. latest c4d. I think there is a bug because after like frames 30 the cloth just vanishes.
very interesting. switched from GPU to CPU and it no longer vanishes. Working on a mac m1 air. So not the most powerful machine
Vanishes...?! I think, I had this issue also! It suddenly appeared for no reason and I have a strong workmashine.
Maybe try to delete the cloth tag and apply a new one?
I'm not sure when this 'bug' appears...
I only had this once and I think it helped to just add a new cloth tag...
@@3DBONFIRE Can you tell me the specifications of your machine? that moves the simulations fast, the one I have takes about 10 min a frame
why dont you just tilt the plane and logo 90deg and add a collider body and a rigid body?
I can´t remember. Maybe I made it accidentally complicated without intention...
@@3DBONFIRE yeah and you could also have done a sort of bounce to it as well, try giving that a go if you get some time

Sometimes more value comes with a pricetag. But I share a lot of knowledge for free on my channel, and sometimes its a bit hard to understand that people think every knowledge is for free...
Think about it like this: I need to invest lots of time to learn that stuff and I dont keep it as a secret. I share a lot for free and whoever wants more, can pay for it.
