What that is right there, is one fine banjo. Very creative, absolutely wonderful sound.
In Haiti they tune the Irish Banjo in three courses like a Tres Cubano.

It's amazing the many ways people have come up with to play monotonous three chord (or less) music.
Plastic 1 liter drink bottle work great too as a shrink able head. No need for a tone ring, just make a taller bridge for better sound.
