- Ok, so y'all like the blues grinds. Here's another one from my bag o' tricks. Tune your cigar box guitar to open G (GDG). If you don't have a cigar box guitar, buy mine at spealguitars.com!
Make sure you use a Stubby Slide for this lesson. You'll need it.

new to this guys so trying to sort out my strings currently tuned G3 D4 G4 but not getting that nice sound..seems too high strings I have are nickel-wound .022, HCS 013 & HCS 009 any recommendations greatly receive.....Shane, you are the best
I've been hooked on your videos. I'm making a license plate guitar for my son. I read your article discussing fretted v fretless. It appears this guitar might be a middle ground where the frets are marked, but not with a wire. Is that the case? Is that what you would recommend? He will likely use a slide.
