- LTO is going to be extremely busy with all the show-cause orders being requested by various law enforcement agencies over the last few weeks.
Hopefully the penalties handed out by LTO will be heavy enough to deter people who fail to stop, or run from enforcers.
It's only a matter of time before the public information campaign has been completed, and the EDSA bus lane penalty will increase to P5,000 - with higher penalties and suspension or even revocation of license for repeat violators. - Розваги

those are the simpleton people that doesn't analyze the benefit that the bus lane, they are gullible to change and modernization. The edsa bus lane was the best thing that happend in edsa, if they say na stupid idea ang bus way lets ask them to show a proof or to show their study kesa dada sila ng dada.

To the guy whom wrote that "bus lane is stupid" I live in Canada and we have lanes that are dedicated to just bus lanes. During rush hour. But when it's down time it's dedicated to something else parking. Bike lane, walking, some city's or towns vendors. BUT EVERYBODY has to cooperate with the rules. The dedicated bus lane does move 1k hourly 10k every few hours. Or even 100k in a day. I live on a main street in Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦 called Hastings St. And it's fricken nuts out there during rush hour. Thank God for Bus Transit. I say keep the bus lanes, and charge the heck out of the violators, 5k pesos ya that's a lot in the Philippines. That kind of violation in Vancouver is about 35k pesos. Stay in your lane. People complaining about the Bus lane system don't seem to remember how bad the old Yellow lane system in EDSA used to be.

I'm actually infuriated that some people are too pea-brained to the point that they argue bus lanes are just a waste of space and a stupid idea. These people should have their privileges revoked from them so that they can experience what being a commuter in this country feels like.
It's mostly the same people who want bike lanes off the road. It's just 1 lane each while everything else have 3-6 lanes.
The bus lane works! Remember in the past when you took a bus from Ayala to SM North, it would take you a good 3-4hrs. But now, It would take you 1hr only.

Just came from a trip to HK and realized that one of the things we sorely lack in the PH is integrity. Our economic progress is very much hindered by it, apart from poor leadership too.
I included leadership because our leaders use the bus way, have wang-wangs, stop traffic for themselves and it's an open secret that they're not honorable.
What can you expect, we're surrounded by ignorant, poor and uneducated idiots who have big egos with tiny brains. Just being behind a motorized vehicle gives them the power to do anything. Such stupid mindset. Best to avoid these species of morons.
Have commuted in EDSA for the first time in years(Have been driving) and the bus lane is quite efficient. Got to where I wanted to go from the south to the north in under an hour
I'm always laughing at those people who thinks the bus lane is a bad idea. I have a friend who told me that the bus lane was just a waste of space, and yeah we are not friends anymore 🤣
For those people who think and say that the dedicated bus lane is such a stupid implementation, would you rather that these buses especially with some inconsiderate bus drivers swerve to every lane on and EDSA and cause horrendous traffic, not to mention accidents when some of these buses suddenly swerve and cut to another lane causing another motorist to hit another vehicle or worst pedestrian?
They firgot that with the buses in the regular lanes, there was standstill traffic everyday during most parts of the day especially the rush hours.
Mmda should try to enforce a law to have a reg plate front of bike,like in Switzerland🙏🙏🙏🇬🇧🇬🇧

I hope you discuss number coding update with regards to window hours. I know that MMDA have not implemented the MMC resolution yet. But, what can we expect once this is implemented? Are all roads covered or just radial and circumferential roads only? Thank you!

@gadgetaddict i was told by a friend that private vehicles are allowed on certain segments of the bus lane - specifically, the Ayala underpass, and then the stretch approaching and on Magallanes interchange going to Pasay - is there any truth to this? Would really liwk to know, so I would know what to follow.

Most of the bus lane still has barriers, it's just the flyovers and tunnels where they had to be removed for safety reasons.
They tried putting plastic bollards, but people were literally running over them on purpose.
Then they put metal bollards, but most of those were also quickly destroyed, mostly by accident.

Bus lane was responsible for lesser traffic and congestion on the right side making it easier for vehicles to turn right from EDSA, making buses controlled.
No the bus lane on the right didn’t work because idiots kept parking in it and doing delivery drop offs meaning the buses then had to merge into the normal traffic lanes to get around the obstructions slowing their progress.

In Australia we have bus lanes and noboby drives in them, also have seperate roads in the city's that are for buses only, but we don't have scooters only big bikes like harley Davidson no little girls bikes

Shoutout sa Joyride Management pasabihan nyo ang mga rider ninyong number 1 pasaway sa bus lane. Dapat isama sa driving qualification nyo ang pagsunod sa batas driver trapiko. Di ba nag coconduct kau ng test sa mga nag aapply na Joyride driver dapat isama sa test nyo maglagay kau ng bus lane hindi lang puro obstacle kaya tuloy sanay suminggit or umiwas sa traffic enforcer.
Are moto taxis that dumb? Obviously, they know they are not allowed but keep doing it. Really need to raise the penalty not 5k make it 10k. And most probably those who run away are criminals and should be hot pursued not just a show cause order.

MMDA should provide an update on those who ran away. How many show cause order were actually given? What happened to the previous ones? Otherwise, this video will serve as a template on they can get away.
Often, the problem stems from drivers or riders who do not follow the rules. While we can deploy a significant number of personnel, recalcitrant drivers tend to appear when they are not around. XD I used to take the bus without a dedicated bus lane, and it would consume a significant amount of time during my commute to and from work. It felt like I was working two shifts.

Ride hailing app drivers should be penalized by their own management as well for these kinds of violations.
I haven't ridden a commuter bus in over 5 years, in fact I prefer riding a private vehicle but I'm fully in favor of a bus lane. For the simple reason that a commuter bus takes hundreds of people from point A to point B every single day, as opposed to a private vehicle that carries just one or two passengers. The bus lane system is not a stupid idea, it's a good system to alleviate traffic jams and not let passengers get stranded on a roadway not built to cater thousands and thousands of vehicles everyday.
To avoid that motorist who enter the bus lane they should try to change that in opposite direction the south lane put in northlane and north lane put in southlane for sure there is no motorist enter on that lane because it was opposite direction

Bus Lane is one of the best ideas ever, traffic was way worse with buses changing lanes to pickup and dropping off commuters. Another good point is that commuters wouldn't have to crawl through traffic,, comments like in 1:10 are car-centric drivers who are selfish in sharing the road, a bit of traffic in the comfort of your private vehicle won't hurt compared to a bus of 50 passengers sharing the same space.

Those who are complaining against the implementation of Bus Lane are people who aren't always on the road on a daily basis. Comparing the traffic at EDSA nowadays , it has improved a lot. Way before the pandemic it was a nightmare because the enforcement of the bus stops wasn't that strict and buses tend to stay at bus stops more than the time limit it should. Putting the bus lane on the inner lane has also helped a lot in improving the flow of traffic in EDSA.
The drivers who don't follow such a simple traffic rule are not educated enough on the importance of a dedicated lane not only for buses but for emergency vehicles. Their licenses should be confiscated by the MMDA and before they can pay the penalties for the release of their licenses, they should be subjected to traffic seminars.
LTO should start meeting with the owners of motorcycle taxis and all other operators to automatically cancel the contract/ employment of their members who ran away from enforcers. Add that to the showcase order, the fines and penalties.

Why not add a transponder to motorcycles' registration, anyway it's cheaper to register those things. So that even if they run away a radar would easily pick them up like eh: owner of the vehicle, year make and model etc.
It's hard enough to get them to stop removing their plates, what more for any kind of transponder, RFID or similar.
I've lost count of the number of times they've apprehended a rider for a random violation, like not wearing a helmet, and then they realize the bike doesn't have a plate.
But when the rider opens his compartment, the plate is sitting inside 🤦♂️
@@GadgetAddict well MMDA can at least install it using a tampered proof casing just like in a black box, and implement a law mere tampering of that device would already be deemed as a violation I've noticed in your videos these motorcycles are like annoying flies getting passed MMDA personnel which is really risky. it would also facilitate the identification of the vehicle by just using a radar or a radar gun. The reason why i'm suggesting this is there are so many kamote riders out there who clipped my side mirrors and just ran away.
Just ban these people from driving. The more people get banned, the lesser the traffic.

I know that the MMDA does coordinate with the MC taxi operators, especially in those cases where the rider tried to escape, or did escape.
Whether they report those who were cooperative, I don't know, but I would doubt it.

whoever said that bus lances are stupid then clearly he ain't thinking at all. Bus carries 50 or more people compare to other vehicles which caries only 1 or 2 people only. This makes the bus travel much faster & commuters won't have a hard time riding the public transport bus.
