- The strict enforcement of the EDSA bus lane continues.
Personally I've noticed a reduction in the number of busway violators, as a result of the consistent enforcement operations.
But I have also noticed that sometimes it's the same cars and riders using the bus lane every day - highlighting the need for the increased bus lane penalties, which are currently pending. - Розваги
It's a sad fact that these offenders continue their actions even in the afternoon and evening, times when there are no authorities present to intervene along EDSA

A) Increase the fines, B) Remove the license for repeat offenders, C) Ban flashing red and blue lights immitating police. In other countries this is an instant driving ban!
Those violators should be given a hefty fines so that they will think twice before they do it again.
So many violations they could charge these drivers. The incorrect license plates, the red and blue lights, driving with hazards on, running from the enforcers... An unauthorized helmet should be 6k. I mean the list goes on and on. It is what it is. If the standards aren't raised the same problems will exist.
Imagine that, using a improvised red plate, and use a police light and simply get away with a bus lane ticket. USING THE POLICE LIGHT IN A PRIVATE VEHICLE IS CONCERNED IMPERSONATING A LAW INFORCER AND THATS A CRIME. how is that MMDA doesn't care?

The towing company needs hydraulic shifter or mechanical shifter for engage handbrake car so that it can be easily be move or towed and it won't damage the tire for screeching it to the pavement or in the flatbed truck
Bring back the barriers. Double the fines, confiscate the DL, have them pay for the seminar. Etc etc
Do enforcers add violation to the driver if they use unauthorized blinker or hazard lights?
"Anti-poor" should not be used by these people who have cars. I get that the ones that says it are the PUV and PUJs but as per their franchise they should have an off-road parking. It's not about being anti-poor, it's about having discipline that will benefit every motorists.
Besides license and or/cr do drivers required to have insurance in the Philippines?

I just noticed that there is no line separating the bus lane from the normal lanes. There should be a continuous and straight line to divide them.
The concrete dividers should be put back.

What will be the possible apprehension for those who change their private plate no. to government plate no.? It's illegal right?
Most of the time it's really government vehicles that are lacking markings.
But there are times when it's really a private vehicle but the improvised or temporary plate says "government".
I'm actually not sure what penalty is being given in those situations. I should check.

These enforcers are playing goose running after duck in this wild chase for either redemption or vengeance. The highways are essentially no joke when it comes to drivers, jaywalkers, or just plain idiots waiting for a crash to happen at any given moment and time in this universe. We are meant to observe strict precautionary measures when dealing with all types of circumstances while on the road.
I'm not sure if your message is sarcasm or stating the obvious. In the tone of your words, it seems like you are blaming the MMDA for just doing their job instead of blaming the deviant motorists. They went through seminars to handle such situations. You alright?

There is a fine. The enforcer just has to add “apprehended after a long chase”. And it adds ₱500 to the original violation.

Those vehicles should be impounded for impersonating an emergency vehicle. Anywhere else in the world they would be and the driver charged with a criminal offense.

When a private car or motorcycle illegally drives on the exclusive bus lane, the MMDA officer pushes a switch and the spike strip immediately pops up. Right in front of the violator !

What I’m trying to understand. Why are dealerships (car, motorcycle, etc) sells vehicles to a person(s) without license and/or insurance. Isn’t that part of the process?! Or is it just in the Philippines!? It’s either these people can’t read…bus only…or just plain ignorant! Penalize those drivers who violates or repeatedly violating the laws and increase the penalties. Instead of 3000 pesos, make 5000 pesos minimum.
For new vehicles and motorcycles, the insurance for the first year is added to the price as required by law. But for the succeeding years, it’s the responsibility of the owners to make the renewal payment.
Current penalty for Bus Lane violators is cheap, 1,000 Pesos plus 3 points demerit sa driver’s license.

Most of what you see then ticketing and towing is overnight residential parking.
While I think some businesses should be required to have off-street parking, I don't think it always makes sense.
Consider a small bakery for example, with most of their buyers being pedestrians. Would it be reasonable to force them to have parking spaces for cars? 🤷
For me, if there's a business that you want to visit, but they don't have a parking space for you, try a competitor that does have a parking space.
@@GadgetAddict well these are idealistic but being realistic, a business will need parking to anticipate customers who will drop by. Humans are creative so if you prohibit parking infront, they will go to the nearest residential street, park there, then walk to the store. Hence the complaints of residents. So to solve this, either remove the business (so its a choice between residential priority or commercial) or legalize the parking by allowing it but limited time such as what makati does.
the BEST thing to do is to elevate the bus lane at least 30 cm or foot , that wil discouraged other non bus to swing to the BUS LANE

Until they raise the fines astronomically for the second infraction and even more for the third or fourth, this will continue. Additionally, smaller quicker wheel lift trucks should be used exclusively for snatching the cars and taking them to an area where they can be later towed away to impound. The only things that is happening now is you’re making jobs for the enforcers.

Doesn't get old,so many undisciplined drivers...same offenders,doesn't follow/read ordnances and signs...maybe a 3 time same offense offenders should have their licenses revoked and vehicle confiscated...

Its time for a dedicated bus lane that is separate from traffic. Retrofit tunnels so it can accommodate more traffic or just put an elevated edsa just like the multi-story bridges in Los Angeles. It would be cheaper than moving the businesses along edsa.
I think a better idea would be drivers and riders respect the law and stay out of the bus lane.
Bus lanes should be clearly identified like painted. Also barriers installed.

True. More and more areas are starting to be filled with vendors.
If mmda-mpcg doesn't get that situation under control soon, it's going to be a big headache later.
The difficulty is that when you just tell them to leave, they come back 10 minutes later. But if you confiscate their stuff to prevent them doing the same thing again, a large percentage of people bash them for being "anti-poor".
So it's always a challenge.

Raise the penalty of traffic rules violation like
10k for inappropriate dress (per violation).
20k for using government stickers, broken lights, smoke belching, improper lights that harsh for other motorist, inappropriate car horns, plate numbers etc.
30k for disregarding traffic rules.
Additional 50k + cancellation of license if they try to run over thru apprehension. subject for towing. (another violation)
300k for colorum, subject for towing + cancellation of drivers license
3rd violation for a month will be subjected for towing, confiscated license and 50k penalty + to take educational session for driving, proper ethics, dress code and examination. 2 day process. :))
Violations are waved every month.
Enforcers must have video camera with clear image and sound when apprehending otherwise the violation is invalid and possible to get fired if proper evidence will be produce by the driver.
Videos of apprehension will be send by the agencie's official email to the driver with violation for their review.

If they don't get the license first, many people pretend they're going to pull to the side, but then they run away.

No one would consider it as driving without license when you literally just surrendered your license to the enforcer.

Motorists should always respect traffic rules and those who enforce it. Kudos to MMDA, their job is not easy and most often than not their lives are always put on the line because of stupid vehicle owners/drivers.

My favorite thing about the "It's anti poor" comment when you can clearly see someone is able to afford a car and break basic laws and even if they were to tread the fine economic lines of poverty wouldn't they become more careful to not waste more money by not having any penalties? It's not common sense but the ph government should genuinely look into reforming their system when it comes to laws and legislation

Increase the fine up to 10,000 to 15,000 and license suspen for 1 month, for those violating the bus lane. Only in the Philippines they've dont know how to read the traffic signs. Most of them came from the province, and that's why they don't know how to drive in the city.😮😢😊
