Hello I’ve been a follower for quite a while but haven’t left a comment before but your chat about finding joy in the little things struck a cord . I was injured in a motorbike accident in 2022 and life is very different now I can no longer work and have a mobility problem , I’m having therapy for the PTSD and that has been this last few weeks about recording moments of joy , letting them creep in . If you haven’t already read it there is a poem titled Joy by a lady called Donna Ashworth and I think it gives new meaning to how we view joy . Thank you for the lovely vlogs you make me smile and bring me joy in the mundane ❤

I had such a busy week last week that I couldn't keep up with your daily vlogs, but that has turned out to be a good thing because I now have covid, and am able to cheer myself up by catching up on your vlogs. Lying in bed with some knitting and some tea with honey while I watch at the moment, covid's no fun but it could be worse 😄
Love watching you go for walks as always, as I am on the other side of the globe the shots of nature always get me excited for the seasons ahead to look forward to!

Good to see you! I've been focused on reading this year more than watching vlogs and I've missed you. I've read 10 books this month. Tomorrow is the 1st of February and I'm well into my plan to read 50 books. I expect my total will be considerably more than that. I'm retired and live alone so nothing is stopping me…❤

Hi from British Columbia! Loving your daily vlogs and they definitely help me make the most of “the small things” in life.
2 audio books I just enjoyed (very different from each other) are: “Incredibly Bright Creatures” by Shelby Van Pelt, and “None of this is True” by Lisa Jewell. One of the narrators of the latter one is Nicola Walker and it was so well done. I’m 73 and only recently started using audiobooks. I was finding that reading (which I love ) was taking away from my knitting time, so now I do both! 😉

My mom got me Toast & Jam for Christmas. The Biscuit flavored one is my fav. lol. I love Yorkshire tea too!!! I’m an American who just started drinking -and liking tea - because of Yorkshire Tea - just the original and even the decaf are so delicious!!

I love the Toast and Jam tea; I have a large mug of it with my breakfast of a few grapes followed by Whole Earth Muesli with chopped Brazil nuts. My favourite meal of the day.

I’m doing the walking challenge but I’m quite a bit older than you and am currently recovering from a blood clot in my thigh so I won’t achieve that, I’m aiming for 500. It’s surprising how it adds up isn’t it? I did 48 miles last month which I’m thrilled about xxx

How deep is the scratch on the new coffee table Ali? If not too deep you could try a mixture of half cup cooking oil with half cup white or cider vinegar and rub into scratch with a micro cloth. Google told me that 🤓
I just finished The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, thank you for the recommendation, I loved it. Then in today’s vlog you recommend an Aussie product I’ve never heard of, Lanolips, and I live in Australia 😱. I’ll be shopping for that tomorrow. Thanks Ali.

I love the Toast and Jam tea got some when I was home to Aberdeen last autumn and had to buy some on Amazon last week. Going to stock up when I come home in March. Loved your walk today, I walk daily and did over 1200 miles in 2023

I love your new coffee table, take a photo of the scratch and send it to the company and I’m sure they would offer you some money back as compensation. A similar thing happened to my son with a sideboard he ordered but was happy to keep it. I’m now off to see you in the mug 😂 😊

I've used my nipple lanisoh in the past, the babies worked out what they were doing so I had a stash, might as well but it to use 😂 that was 100% lanolin too x

My mouth literally went 😮when you said you didnt like the biscuit brew Yorkshire tea! But as you said they are both an acquired taste…when i first brewed it i made it incorrectly…leaving it to brew as long as possible i found works the best…I’m addicted to both toast and jam and biscuit brew and I’m running out…but its so expensive here 😭

Hi Ali. I’m so pleased you have discovered Lanolips for yourself. I also use it and love it as it is more natural than the Vaseline lip balms I used to use. It is more expensive but well worth the extra cost. It lasts ages and now I would not be without it. Love your vlogs. Kindest regards from the Sunny Coast of Queensland ❤

Lovely episode once again. I brought The Lost Bookshop last year but it’s on my TBR pile. At the moment I’m reading, on your recommendation again, Once Upon A River by Diane Setterfield. I managed to buy the book before I went on a long plane journey only to leave it on the plane 🥹 so I’ve down loaded it on Audible and am really enjoying it whilst I’m away . Thank you x
