What a lovely gift! Complete book of poems and songs by Robert burns my late mother would’ve loved that book Ali, she loved literature, she gave my daughter the complete works of Shakespeare , my daughter sobbed when she got those! I got Folio society Lord of the rings , and my youngest daughter got vintage Alice in wonderland , sadly these were her last Christmas gifts to us, as she sadly passed away the year after, but when I think of her the greatest gift she gave us was the gift of literature………. Priceless……
That was so lovely. I’m happy you visited the book store in Fort William (it needs a cat). We spent ages in there and I bought my 6 month old granddaughter, Coulters Candy, and Yi Cannie Shove Yer Granny Aff a Bus. She still loves them and the little Canadian knows all the words to the songs. Your missed Cawdor Castle, it’s beautiful and has amazing gardens and the cafe has the most wonderful apple crumble. Also, I thought Dan, in particular, would have visited Culloden. A very moving experience.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
