Hi Ali! I so enjoyed your journeys this year so thank you for taking us along! Merrell makes the best footwear for my fussy feet. I also get a lot of walking done in my Keen hiking boots. They are even more comfortable to me than trainer or sneaker style shoes. It's all about the wool socks inside the shoes! I try and walk 20 minutes every day with my binoculars and when I skip it my brain and my body know the difference. Just that 20 minutes helps my flexibility, strength and mood. Just get all the weather gear and get out there! Thanks for the pep talk!😊

Great and highly informative. I like to get out and about daily because it makes me feel so much better. My aim this year is to continue to do so. I like to walk about 4 or 5 miles a day but make myself slow down and take in what nature is doing and the changes I see. ❤

I use to walk a lot to now i am 77 cant walk as far as i use to..but keep trying.Take care b safe.

I always have a couple of £5’s too and some small bags (doggy poo ones) as I never know when there’d be handy 😄

Walking is my favourite thing to do too as you can take in your surroundings properly 😊 I challenged myself to the 2000 miles last year and just about managed it! My cocker spaniel probably did triple that ❤😅 great vlog Ali. I also get theM&S good move clothing - it’s so comfy!

I agree with everything you said Ali, I have really enjoyed the challenge and am also doing it again this year and hoping to beat this year’s achievement. I just wish it was helping me lose weight but it hasn’t but I feel fitter xxxx

I’m aiming to achieve 1000 miles this year but have got off to a slow start due to illness and icy weather, however I have a whole year to catch up and will be taking early retirement at the end of July so I think the bulk of my miles will be at the end of the year 😊

I agree walking outside is my favorite thing to do. I have discovered several things in my little town that I had no idea where here. I have a rechargeable vest for cold days which is wonderful, I need to invest in some winter boots and cleats for walking in this awful snow/ice we have had for the last couple weeks. I did find a spot that was cleared off to walk yesterday, a church parking lot. And the snow is falling again yuck! Thanks for the encouragement

We had a German Shepherd puppy over Christmas so my aim is to get plenty of walking in during 2025. I will be happy to just get out once a day for something that is not work related

We are now living in Cumbria (moved over on Friday) and are looking forward to increasing our walking. We have coastal walks and close to the lakes too.

Hello. Hope you’re feeling better now. You have inspired me to get out and about a bit more and have put a pedometer app on my iPhone. I walk to Tescos now instead of online shopping with my “old lady” shopping trolley. It works out at 3.7 miles there and back so not bad and I do it around three times a week. Has helped my mind a bit. Things are still tough but hopefully there will be light at the end of the tunnel. Lesley. X.

Thanks for the 2024 review of what worked for you! My number one thing for 2024 was Ear-covering headphones! Mine are House of Marley. They have an excellent noise canceling feature. Knitting and making a knitting best-friend and listening to knitting podcasts. I hope you feel better. I think I’d like to join you this year in the walking!!

Definitely audiobooks have been amazing for me this year and I found that because I’ve just been trying to move more and walking as easiest even if it’s dark and wet and miserable outside having an audiobook to listen to that really made a difference.

I couldn’t get the wild code to work for me. I bought one anyway

I am happy you are feeling better!Everytime I see a video of you pop up in my list I skip the others and watch yours first: you are always so positive and cheerful, you make my day (well, a day is perhaps what long, but I hope you do know what I mean😉). In 2024 I started listening to audiobooks as well, but I do it on UA-cam (saving money...). Yes there are books I quit due to advertisements in the books, but there are loads of books without them. Another thing I started in 2024 is a little art-journal I made and fill with positive things that happens every day (big ánd small). Have a nice day, see you soon (I hope😊). Marjan 🌷

Sorry you've been so unwell! Glad you seem to be on the mend. I have a 5-year nature journal/calendar called The Naturalist's Notebook. Not sure if the info in the front is just North America but the bulk of it is the 5 year calendar with space to record temps and weather and little observations. I am going to do the 1000 mile challenge, too. I love having the inspiration from you and Sarah :) I'm not on IG but I will be out there just the same.

Loved this video I don’t live in England but I did visit a few years ago and I got the almanac last year and really enjoyed learning things about UK so I got it again this year so I only discovered it through your channel …. So thanks 💛 if you watch Gavin’s channel you should watch his haunted series’s where he goes to haunted place like the woods , a nunnery and a church it’s so funny ….📚💕📚
