- We FINALLY traveled to Taiwan for the first time!! Taiwan has been on our bucket list for a long time, so we are ecstatic to finally be in Taipei!
On this trip we navigate Taipei's airport, arrive in the middle of the night, set out to explore the city while we get settled in, and end our day at a night market trying our first Taiwanese food! YUM!

Welcome to Taiwan! Taiwan has distinct climates throughout the year, and the climate and geographical environment are different in the east, west, north, and south.
One very convenient thing is that you can go mountain climbing in the morning, swim in the beach in the afternoon, and have a drink in a metropolitan bar in the evening on the same day.
Whether you like modern life or nature, I believe this country can satisfy you! In fact, Taiwan is famous not only for its natural landscape, but also for its strong human touch.
Moreover, Tainan has also been rated as the World Food Museum by the Wall Street Journal! In addition to being famous for its food and culture,
it is also the hometown of the international director Ang Lee and the city where Bubble tea was invented.
Taiwan is really a country that is very suitable for in-depth tourism. It is the condensed whole of Asia, and it also integrates old and new history as well as Eastern and Western cultures.

Yes! We had planned six weeks for our visit, we enjoy really getting to know the places we visit if we can! We may end up staying a little longer due to a change in plans too, but we will see! :)

Taiwan is very safe and convenient. Adventure is fun, but there may be small black mosquitoes in the grass or woods in the suburbs. You can apply mosquito repellent in advance and be mindful of the many motorcycles and cars on the road, keeping a safe distance. Have a pleasant journey!

Ever since Covid.....or I should say after after covid, I am so glad to see many more travelers visit Taiwan with good impression. You must try the fry chicken in the street. BTW, if you stay until the summer, make sure to eat a lot of mango! Cheap and delicious.

The weather is switching from spring to summer, so it's going to rain several days this week (at least in northern Taiwan). It's a great souvenir to buy a beautiful foldable umbrella (lightweight but able to against strong wind and UV Ray). A good one probably costs between USD$20 to $30. If you don't want to bring it home, then just buy a basic one $4-$7 at convenient stores).

We unfortunately have a family member having some health issues, so knowing we were going to be taking a travel break and cancel some plans, we filmed as much as possible in Taiwan before we left back to the US! @@IfWeGoTo The eastern coastline is less industrialized and populated than the western part of Taiwan. The beaches and ocean views in Hualien and Taitung cities are spectacular. There are quite a few expats, European and North American, who open shops in these two cities. You should also spend time with the Taiwanese aboriginals. They are known to be very funny, love to sing and dance, and enjoy the local rice wine (don't be fooled by its sweetened taste because you may feel like it's just beverage but some of them could contain high percentage of alcohol!)
