That’s hilarious that you’re 10 years younger than BJ and you call him Bubby. Quite a shock to be run over by a combine as well. Great shot.
The Claas TT are very good on the road. One farmer in the UK (Olly Harris) ran his from one end of the UK to the other, nearly 900 miles , in three days for a mental health charity this year. I think that was a 8700TT.
Having the microphone on you makes for a way better sound experience. Thanks Brian 👍
Nice hearing you and your dad speaking so humbly on the prospects surrounding such a big purchase and contemplating a complete change of philosophy of the multiple machines. Good luck with how ever you go.
I know you wont see this, but in case you do: One of the best vids this year Brian. Thanks for all the work putting these dang things out.
Thank you
We run a pair of 8700s at work and they are fantastic machines. I grew up running a 7720 and my current machine is a 8780. It’s like running a starship at work and smacking rocks together at home lol
That ground shot of the Claas 8700 cutting corn as it came over the camera was amazing! That is roughly the terrifying view you'd get if you were to get run over by that monster & I was strangely relieved to see chopper/spreader appear & be able to hear my heart start beating again.
Brilliant video Brian...Loved the camera getting run-over in the field shot & all the editing also...Very informative, & the footage starting at 23:30 really shows just how fast the Claas is...👌👌👌
Lol. That recalibrating the aftermarket head each time is a feature not a oversite. Helps the salesman sell factory heads. 😂
Another great video! It’s amazing how your farm and personal lives have grown since you started the channel. Thanks for sharing. You’re a heck of a guy!!
Great video as usual!
Really nice combine but a huge investment!
The only problem with having one machine is if it's broken down you are stuffed at least with two machines you will probably have one still going!
I am a massey ferguson nut but even I would give that combine shed space, grudgingly of course!😊
Fun, cool, and informative video Brian. I remember working on our family farm and big purchases like that can mess with your mind.
Love seeing Bob enjoying the demo machine you can tell by his face he likes it.
I have a history of Mornin with Brian. I think he does that for me.
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always Brian!!!
"WOW, but wow!" Love the quote!
Thought the camera in the corn field and you rolled right over it.
Great shot!
Morning lol thanks for sharing I seen farmers drive across other peoples fields and knock down the crops when they could have done like you did and only damage your own crops you guys a good people in my book
7:57 you can watch the window covering in seconds. FAST!
that thing is a monster, I like the mic when you are in the seat you have come a long way in your production quality
That Class machine goes through corn like it's not even there, impressive!!!
Hey Brian, The switch in the 740 can be switched over to the 8700. It goes in the same bank on the new machine to fold. A jack knife or small screwdriver is all you need.
3:22 '' It makes sense if you don't think about it''
Yes.
Perfect definition of Farming
Mayby we here the pro s and cons from you guys in regards to the NH versus the claas, great to watch and keep them coming greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
Enjoy your video, that machine is a far cry from my Dad,s combine he ran back in the sixties. My how times have changed.
Claas combines are the most fantastic combines here in Denmark we see quite many also the big 8900
Man...it's been so dry here in NC! Stay safe out there brother...don't work too hard! We'll be up your way later this month! OH----IO Josh
Definitely keep your two smaller combines. Always nice having two when one breaks
The farm I'm at here in SEND, we run 2 8700TT and at times they have had them doing 6K-6.5K per hour for theoretical bushels per hour depending on corn moisture and how it was feeding into the combine, they use 12 row Drago Corn heads that seem to handle the higher speed but definitely corn eating machines
Great video Brian. Awesome content.
Looks like a nice combine. Expensive machine. 🎉
Great Video, that combine is brilliant, thanks for sharing
Thanks
Great video good to see y'all
great video. thank you guys
I can't wait for this channel to blow up big. Love the videos. You should just buy the claas. It's just a payment.
It’s nice to see the corn guys get a taste of that million dollar equipment finally. Us cotton boys have been dealing with it for close to 10 years now. Lol. Looks like a nice machine.
Whatever class nine you decide consider the 12 row corn head Geringhoff. It’s on my wish list after one season with an Italian head.
i always enjoy your videos Brain
Awesome combine
Brian,
The pov from the sacrificed row camera was incredible!!!
thanks
I rented a ditch witch ride on trencher to run 300 feet of water line. I ended up digging most of it almost 4 feet deep (wasn't paying attention). If remember correctly, it took about 45 minutes, which included running into a stump and having to reposition.
I've been looking for people demoing these Class combines I hear a lot of awesome reviews if I can find them. I'm not sure if this one does, but one model can lift the whole front end up to put the headed sky high. And might have been self greasing. Beasts!!!
Sweet rig!
Loved the video first time watched will watch way more” get the claas best combine on the market
what you could do with the trancher is move all the boxes for the lines and go back and dig down where they go and put the line in
We run a lexion 760 on tracks and it’s the smoothest machine we have run and then when you go over bogged marks or ruts it glides over them with ease
Really good video and very nice machine costs just seems to be going up on everything . It sure looks good and eats the corn right up . 😊
Header settings can help feed better also as you know
IMHO You guys are spot on running the two you have. The Gleaner seems to have reliability issues though. One big machine and "Murphy's Law" would potentially wreck a harvest.
This was an awesome video. Loved it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good job guys
Thanks. Interesting 🧐
Another great video.
I follow Ivers farms and they run a 9250 Case and a 12 row Gearinghoff Gt and they combined like 6/7k acres of corn with 1 combine. On the bean side they run 2 9250 with 40’ heads. Said it was faster to run 40’ over a 45’
Good show
It’s always morning somewhere in the world
You should look into running a drago cornhead they do very well at pulling down stalks.
I am excited for this one!!
I like the fact you folks buck the norm. Claas, Fendt, Gleaner, instead of Deere and Case.
Today you buy based on your nearest and best dealership versus the brand .
@@mikemontgomery7337exactly dealer support is everything today .
Sweet combine brain it's a work horse great video sir
Nice combine .
I like your honest review of it i drive new Holland at the moment , but have also driven class case and Massey Ferguson, wich was actually a Dronningborg Danish built combine until Agco bought it the ideal is also developed with the thressing mechanisms in Denmark..i drive a new Holland cx80.80 in small grains , but have also done corn with we have a 8 row Gerringhof rota disc folding corn head Now we use a new Holland 9.90 twin rotor for corn .but corn in Denmark is pretty wet when harvested above 30 procent water .i have driving combines in Denmark , Uk. U.S.A. and Australia. Where i did rice too.
Another great video from BFV! I guess I’ll put my plug in for the Drago GT cornhead, we recently got one on our farm and it’s impressive. The deck plates and suspension work well but I think my favorite part is the huge auger it just feeds everything so nice, even and gentle. That being said I know service and parts availability is huge so if you have a distributor near by, it’s definitely worth a look. Be safe Browns
“Stuck in 1986.” Lol! 😂
Great video Brian, that Claas looks like a beast, those colors are just odd to a traditionalist, LOL. BTW I don't know if it was due to a more quiet cab or a new mic, but it was much better hearing Bob, which was nice. Keep them coming and stay safe during harvest. God Bless
I love the fact that Brian and his Dad aren't brand-sheep and will run whatever machine works best. It flat out amazes me just how big a spell much of the Ag community is under when it comes to certain brands/colors.
@@bobbyboykin7137 it normally comes down to service around where you live that’s why you see a lot of red and green
For Claas, these have been the original colours for many decades. I know that they offered yellow and black combines in the USA for a while, but the original German colours are green and the light grey. For Claas traditionalists around the world, the yellow and black machines look strange.
@@peterdagon5530 I agree and understand the dealer/service aspect. But I know LOTS of guys who buy green simply because its green and wont even consider anything else. When a farm is ALL green I just hafta wonder, because every OEM builds a turd now and then, and they all have models that where they really hit the mark. Theres plenty of other dealers in my area, so its not like they could own a different color. Like my original post said, Brian and his Dad want whatever works best, and have had most every brand in their stable over the years. That tells you they use their head when buying, not what color the paint is.
Mornin
Hello from Holland i like the claas in eurupe is one of the best machine trye the tractor too love tour videos
I wish my dad was still here to watch your (and others...) videos of all of this amazing equipment that might have been only dreams of engineers back when we were on the farm. I have a question for you. I have noticed on this corn head and on some other ones around the guys I follow a tapered thing that looks like an augur mounted on the ends of the head. What is it for? What I have seen it doesn't seem to do anything but spin around. Thanks!
Must be a us market only thing as the lexions we run here in nz with macdon pickup and drapers we don't have to to calibrate every time we swap fronts?? Generally pretty active on settings depending on crop thou as direct cut clover and peas so on deck to pretty staright off the deck for barley, wheat & canola
Great machine
Looks like a very nice combine. I would guess that you will be buying one in the future.
That window in the beginning was filling up quick then he said we’re In some good corn I could sure tell lol
Brian From the UK Look up Olly Blogs they drove a 7700 Tracked Machine From John o Groates to Lands End the length of the Country in about 5 Days 250 Miles a day.
Great video! Nice machine! I'm ready to buy a Claas 8700 just need a bigger check book. LOL
$$$ WOW !!! My last time working on the farm we had was a 2 row New Idea picker ! I'm 80 now !
Good for you fella
You celebrated 50 years old 30 times
How clean was the grain sample? It look good though the window, but was hard to see clearly. Was it cleaner then the other combines ? I have never been impress with JD grain tank samples.
Great video
Very good Video 👍 👍
that thing shifts and then some, it's a beast. just one query re: buying big - is there a danger of 'putting all your eggs in one basket' ??
What are the different list price on the machines you have looked at just wondering sir your family is just cool down to earth
what do you think of the newholland combine?
Great video Brian! All I can do is👍..
Gleaner might be coming out with the “SX”, hold on to see.
Could you not put the conduit in with the tile plow?
Put geringhoff on that beast then you will learn Chet Larson needs to get a Lexion behind his geringhoff!
I’m going to start using the “it makes sense if you don’t think about it” saying a lot from now on lol
Good video.
I like it too!
I like the idea of 1 big machine but as yaz have said before 2 smaller combines that can choke grain leg when both cranking yet 1 goes down ya still got 1 going where with with 1 big one if it goes down nothing moving. 2 lexions with 45ft, 12m factory draper fronts and claas/copello 12rws be smashing the arces. Better get a massey 8s for landon to keep up with bj keeping them going
From experience I say it’s best to trench only what you intend on laying the pipe. The sides start falling in fast.
Enjoy the video on the claas Lexion 8700 combine .
Good stuff
I normally wait until the end of the video to hit the thumbs up. It got it in the first 25 seconds. I love it, lol.
Worse thing about any track machine is the mice find it really easy to get into the equipment. Besides that I'm a big fan of tracks.
So if is a non power ladder do you say “Non” when you grab it?
I enjoyed Working Words. You gonna do another one anytime soon?
Another thought is to buy used equipment. Some farmers have the ability to trade equipment every one, two, or three years. The used sale price can be easier to manage on payments and there is still plenty of good life left in them.
Would you not want to try the class 8 gleaner? Just asking.
For that price, the combine should not only have a fridge for snacks, but a waitress to go with it.
blonde with big 🍈 😂
So what do you think Brian would this be the ideal machine for mike Mitchell like everybody thinks
