Sam monk is a cool dude, fair play to him that’s some rise in gear over short period of time, you can have all the money in the world but it takes a smart man to keep a business like that rockin and it’s a serious business, as he said hard work n good staff💪Ile be on next season to drive the chopper have the grease gun ready 🤠🇮🇪🇦🇺
The questions in the office were great man. That visa information is really handy for the young ladies and lads. Also important to stay out of trouble with that stuff so they don’t mess up their opportunities.👍
Millennial Farmer is a Daddy's boy, who will inherent the farm - with all new gear/ Sam has used his dads assets, 1 tractor & leveraged and hard worked to gain loans , he is on the tread mill - of big business - more loans, more debt, and to cover his future is investing in land.
The thing that struck me the most was the speed at which the equipment operates.......14-15mph......Things just whiz by!! I guess speed and productivity go hand-in-hand!
Very interesting operation, I was surprised with pivots been built as around that area n north east Victoria there’s plenty of flood irrigation. Q. How do they go with logistics like parts as there not a lot Claas n Fendt dealerships to compare JD n CNH?
hope you are running John Deere headers. nice 45 foot front. S series. must be green. when will you get into cotton sam ? if you want a cotton picker which are pretty rare operators hit me up. since i worked for you i done 7 years operating headers and cotton pickers up at cubbie station. sam was part of my journey.
I would be very interesting to know what sams fuel usage is and yearly cost also are all the machines on hp, also has he had to put his rates up due to the rise in direct costs like fuel, plastic, labour.
Plenty of Aussies wanting this work, its not available to them, he only hires close friends and family, and he hires irish backpackers because he can circumvent australian working condition laws and pay conditions..
i recall doing 36 hours straight working for sam. hard work. good guy. props from the guy who had the small van. you will remember lol

You're only coming out for the 79 series landcruisers 🥸😂
Looking forward to the chopper derby 'GWAAAAAAAANN YA BASTARD!!'
@@Grassmen ahahaha
This man knows well about the silage carting in his hiace
Here in the US, choppers alone would be about $10 million. And then there's the rest of the fleet. Kudos to the man!
Unbelievable operation, and a 1000 cows thrown in for good measure!! Some business man. Cracking video Cian
More videos of Sam and his crew please…this was awesome to see
The Opportunities available to lads out there is amazing
jesus christ you got massive since i worked for you. went from having about 10 machines to this. well done !
Great video Cian. Your natural charisma came through in this one.
Lol 😂
Worked along side this bloke years ago, bloody hard worker looks like it’s paying off now mate. On ya
Definitely a hard worker! 👌
Amazing operation, credit to the young fella who runs it! He must have compromising photos of his bank manager though… 😂
Sustainable farming is definitely the future, and you’re showing how it can be done right.

That was very good!! Some machinery, be great to see a series of episodes throughout the year….really good video😊
The questions in the office were great man. That visa information is really handy for the young ladies and lads. Also important to stay out of trouble with that stuff so they don’t mess up their opportunities.👍
I was expecting Sam to be
A guy in his 70's with a long
Career behind him ...
It's amazing to see machine
With working to their
Potential........
It's great to see!
Good to see his Strip Till on your video, I was one of the guys who helped build it.
Was a fun job putting it together.
Great operation and video.
Its a fair piece of kit! Even behind the 1050!
16:46 Stewart is a great trailer manufacturer. Totally agree with Sam Monk👍
I was there for 1 Year it was a nice time after Beefwood Farms.
for so young he is doing very well.
The evenflow boys should bring over a few cases of carlsberg and show ye how it’s done
I reckon Monk and sons would make an awesome reality TV show
I'd say so 🤣
Well done Team. Thanks for sharing.
What an awesome operation 😁💪
Nice video again, thank you👍👍

Living my dream guys! Well done.
Great video you have no problem getting stuff next year
.Maybe the Monk company need to come Canada to look for some staff. Great video love it
I’d sign on in a heartbeat!
I would love to take a trip and see how different the world farms vs the way we do
This is one of the main reasons we encourage young ones to do this.
These blockes are a happy bunch..
Happy lads indeed!
Klaus Schwabb is watching you.
Nice farm well done
Allways awsome watching these grassmen vids and monk and sons looks like heavin to me😂

Good maintenance, saves the embarrassment to the customer there’s a good business model
I have trouble getting parts for a kubota and a Takeuchi. Can't imagine what that operation contends with. Hard to fathom
Amazing channel great videos
Thanks so much!
Well done Grassmen. This is great content 👍👍👍.
Thanks 😄
Is there going to be any new videos of monk and son I watched them all I enjoyed watching them
Sam Monk. Respect! 🙏🏿
CIAN your the main man in GRASSMEN 👍
Very good video, great insight to an operation like this!!. There seems to be a fair few Irish lads there? Some operation to be fair...
It's some operation all right!!
Sam needs his own channel. Millennial Farmer Aussie Edition!!!
Millennial Farmer is a Daddy's boy, who will inherent the farm - with all new gear/

@@mtl-ss1538 ok Karen
Good call
@@mtl-ss1538 what’s the problem with inheriting?
Great business led well.
Unreal stuff mate👍🏽

It's fast paced out there for sure.
That is some set up unreal 👌
Great video cian, some setup your crystal would fit in well there 😉😁
Absolutely
That was awesome!
Lots of Paddy’s on that farm!
very impressive!
By eck what a farm..
Very interesting operation, I was surprised with pivots been built as around that area n north east Victoria there’s plenty of flood irrigation. Q. How do they go with logistics like parts as there not a lot Claas n Fendt dealerships to compare JD n CNH?
This is South East Victoria so no flood irrigation here, most parts are available in Melbourne which is only 2 hours away
Theres a claas dealer in colac, which isnt too far from cobrico
Große firma .Viele deutsche landtechnik da .Gut!
Get Tom Fleming and the 8120 asap. Best quality. And mozz in da windrower
Great video
Thanks!
Brilliant video.
That’s some setup.
In comparison, the rest of us are gardeners 😊😊
U said it. Hahahaha

Very fascinating
Absolutely fantastic video, and good to put a face to the name 👍 do you need a valeting team 👍
You would be busy haha
I know I'm sure its some job keeping all the machines clean too
Wow, so this is what real life farming simulator 22 looks like.
Pretty much
Cool video the presenter has one heck of an Aussie accent lol ;-) Top of the morning to you sir
Some boyo
Great video some operation! Many acres do they cover in the year…?
Not sure but its all charged by the ton of dry matter over here not by acres or even hectares
@@Grassmen that makes more sense than by the acre,
I would be very interesting to know what sams fuel usage is and yearly cost also are all the machines on hp, also has he had to put his rates up due to the rise in direct costs like fuel, plastic, labour.
Donkey is planning to head out soon and hopefully Sam will enlighten us a bit more into the business.
The money 😮
For All them 🚜
are those kuhn rakes from brought from Canada? Cervus is here in Alberta
That’s blown my mind.
A very go video
Thank you
These blokes go past us a few times a yr makes our little tractors look like toys in the sand pit!
AMD the kenworths are Aussie built
Nice
Interesting operation. Can you give the region?
Based in South West Victoria
Sam Monk use to call me "donkey" hahaha. i hope he reads this so he knows whos speaking to him.
Great video. Is finding operators in Australia that big of an issue? Looks like Ireland provides a large workforce.
I assume it suits Irish lads well. Grass in the summer here and then Grass in our winter out there. Pkus it's a great experience.
There definitely mustn't be as many contractors as we have 🙈
Plenty of Aussies wanting this work, its not available to them, he only hires close friends and family, and he hires irish backpackers because he can circumvent australian working condition laws and pay conditions..
@@4kays160 In what way? It’s not like a backpacker would have to do this for less than $22/h
The Irish took the piss on most of the construction jobs I saw them on. They’re here for a holiday
I can tell by your accent that you are a local lad😂😁😂
Savage operation
Amazing set up and Sam must have some headaches
That's what managers are for 😌
Even UA-cam can't handle the Australian accent🤣
What did he think about mchale fusion?
Not sure to be honest. We will find out
Good job
Please Link to apply for job 2024 season, thanks
Insane can’t imagine how much money those machines would cost
those two Scottish guys instantly clicked
Irish bro
How can I apply as an operator there ..I love farming and big Machines
Unreal plant 👌
Sure is 😎
They reckon Cian was doing a bit of operatin there himself......in the office😂
Couldnt watch him hi
Some set up, a lad with a 20 diesel and a finger bar wouldn't be much use there!
Nope that's for sureb
How many acres are they covering in a seaon?
Donkeys heading over to see Sam soon. This is a guess but we are guessing between corn and Grass well over 100k acres.
@@Grassmen that's pretty cool. Seems like a heck of an operation.
baler to loader wagon cool
Are the Irish boys out there permanently or do they just go for a few months at a time every season? Mix I suppose.
How come all the Irish work there, just interested
The Irish seem to love the experience. There is also workers from other countries out there
How do I get my hands on a monk and sons hat
We want one as well
I have absolutely no background on this video or operation but how come every worker is Irish?
