iowANFarmer, Ben Van Roekel, is a 2nd generation farmer in southern Iowa. His goal on UA-cam is to showcase what young farmers have to offer to the agricultural community. He hopes to give the general public a glimpse into what life is like on an American corn, soybean, and hay operation. My grandpa never had anything but Gleaner combines. I asked him why one time, he looked at me with a confused look and said “is there another kind?” I never got any other answer from him on it.

Beautiful equipment and farm.
I notice you JD 4020 cranks awful slow. I have a 1969 JD 4020 that cranked the same and was hard to start in cooler weather. I installed a gear reduction starter and it spins so much faster and starts every time now. It works so well I got the same type gear reduction starter for my 7:3 L Ford pickup and it starts great in cold weather also.
