    Just finished a baby blanket for my baby boy, who's due mid-September! Thank you, it was easy and clear pattern to follow. Also it was my first attempt at doing granny squares and a blanket ❤

    I’ve never seen this method of joining granny squares before, but it’s my new favourite! I love how flat it lays and the way you connect them in rows to begin with.

    This has got to be the easiest way to connect squares. I was about to have a breakdown when I found this vid!
    I find that my tension comes and goes so I don’t have nice perfect stitches so this helped!

    I’ve been trying to find a better join method. This is it! Thank you! I haven’t completed the first row, but I joined 4 granny squares as a trial. It’s much better than my old way!

      Yes yes yes! It finally clicked for me as well. This was the one thing that held me back from wanting to tackle an afghan! In past I never could get joins looking good. Now my afghans will be good enough for gifting!

    hi very quick question! i followed your part one to this tutorial, with each color tied off as i started a new color to complete the center, petals and square. you mentioned you would work these loose ends within the square, but starting this second part each square has no loose ends, i’m wondering how to works those into the squares so mine are all clean and ready to connect like yours are?? thank you so much!!

    • @yurylast8334
      @yurylast8334 4 роки тому +3

      You need to weave them in. You can always try to crochet over them but it can run the risk of falling apart if they are not very secure.
      Weaving in the ends is the most time consuming part.

    So this is 3 x 3 but a baby is 15 down and 15 across? Or 225 squares? Do you still join three at a t time and the do 3x2 sections across? Or do you lay out 15 and join?
    Thank You~

      I realised that my yarn was abit cheap. I bought some more expensive yarn but still affordable and it made a massive difference in the defenition of the flowers. Have you tried buying a more good quality yarn?

    how big does each square measure in centimeters? and how would I make them bigger if i wanted to ?

    • @christinamoxon
      @christinamoxon 3 роки тому +1

      You can use thicker yarn, or try to crochet holding two strands together to make it nice and plush. That's now I'm making my knitted blanket nice and smooshy. Two strands of DK held together. You can also go up a hook size or two and see if that gives you what you're looking for. Or, if you want, you can do a second round (or should that be square!) of the blanket colour (in this case green). Hope that helps.

      She probably thinks the way you do it is weird. How dare you? She’s trying to teach you an art form that’s damn near lost, and all you can do is find something negative to comment? REALLY? Why don’t you compliment her on the beautiful work she does and be grateful she chose to share her skill with us, instead of pullin’ up with negativity. I’ll bet you any kind of money yours wouldn’t look as good. 😂🙄
