Wow I didn't know you could handle BP's too much. Mine has hung out with me all day almost everyday since I got him and he hasn't been upset about it but he didn't eat this week and I suspect that's it, thank you very much.

7:36 that was so funny for a second I was really confused because where I live we use Fahrenheit and I was thinking to myself wtf those are both below freezing than I finally realized that you use Celsius.😂

Me as well. I knew it had to be above the seventies, and it took me a few replays to realize she uses Celsius. You're probably not gonna see this coz you wrote that out nine months ago, but I believe 31 degrees C= 87.8 degrees F, and 26 degrees C= 78.8 degrees F.
i was about to screech when i heard you say "warm end should be about 31 and cold end 26", but then i realized you were talking about celsius

My family friend's snake actually loves baths. It is really cute because if you have her out and water is running near her she gets excited. Once she was on my neck and i was washing my hands and she actually slithered into the sink.
You should make this a series "basics of _" I'd love to see you do basics of all the different kinds of snakes, tarantulas, an more❤️🖤❤️🖤

You should clarify the temperature you state is Celsius. I'd hate for some American kid to see this and think his snake wants to live in the refrigerator...

Tyclone that's a little judgmental I am an "American kid" and I knew right off the bat they don't live that way. I can't believe you would be as rude as to assume that. This is personally offensive to me because you thinking we/they are that stupid. Maybe clarifie a specific amount unless you do mean all of us, that would be rather judgmental. And she does state in the video that "Snakes are cold blooded meaning you need to keep them warm". I hope you can rethink that😂🤗

A ball python found its way onto my patio today. It was an amazing experience.
I have my male in a 120 (4x2x2) with loads of plants, wood and hides etc. He uses every inch of the space it's so lovely to see!

you are really helpful because most people don't give me enough information to care for a ball python but you give me plenty information that my memo is almost completely filled with notes on how to care for my snake. and i thank you for that to ensure that my snake live a long happy life:D

Hi @bri bri Does Repticon come to a city near you? It's the largest show I know of near me, they have very good prices and you can pick the individual snake unlike a lot of breeder websites
Oh my gosh this was so convenient cause I'm getting my ball python (my first reptile) today so waking up to see this video was just so ironic! Glad I stumbled upon this! I'm babysitting a bp. He's super calm but I got very worried because he only comes out of his hide to eat. He's pooping and shedding so good to go! 😁

My ball python Arty just got loose (hes a houdini FOR SURE) And found him all tangled up in the shoe rack, could hardly get him untangled he was holding on for life....i started talking to him calmly and he released himself and came to me !! it was amazing 🥰

We’re up to 3- they’re right when they say can’t have just one. They’re pretty easy once you get them set up! I’ve been using humidity boxes. We’re going to oaks reptile expo and not planning to bring anyone home, but if we find a banana enchi lesser like one we saw on morphmarket it is coming home 😂
Just letting you know that humidity boxes are insufficient, ball pythons need high humidity throughout the enclosure (at least 60%, ideally 70-80%, measured by a digital hygrometer).

My mother is mostly on board with me getting a ball python but she’s afraid she’ll wake up with me suffocated by it coiling around my neck 💀
I am trading my 5 corns, king & milk snakes in for a Blue eyed Lucy in a few weeks, as soon as the pet store has space, & I love that you present this in a super non-threatening way, so I can post this on my FB wall & it's bound to not offend or scare people who don't like snakes!!!

I just found your channel and you’ve been so helpful! I’m thinking about buying my first snake, and I found an online breeder with a very high rating. I’ve researched a lot about ball pythons, but I’ve read that when they’re too small for the terrarium, they can get stressed. I was wondering what a good size terrarium would be for a hatchling? Should I head straight for a 30gal terrarium, or should I start a lot smaller?
What would you recommend a ceramic heat emitter or the dual dom day and night light?

What do you recommend for controlling temperature and humidity
Hey, 10 days ago i got a two month old pastel ball python. He's still a bit stressed and didn't respond to food when i offered him. But that's not the problem bc i know that he's probably still setteling down. I have checked everything (temperature, humidity and other) but he still acts like ive never heard a ball python does. He doesnt hide much and he just stays outside his hides or he's slithering around the terrarium. I hope that it's just a personality thing and not actualy something to worry about. Just making sure.

Instead of a timer I use a thermostat which works really well
