It’s quite a bit heavier than the AR I built out. Because they are based in Maryland they have to use a heavy profile to comply with the state’s laws. I got mine in Burnt Bronze in 2018 with the only available option of their proprietary rail. I got all the same furniture as you and attach my sling to the fore grip. I do prefer the Radian safety 45° throw. What attracted me was the ambidextrous lower.
Just because they are produced here in Maryland doesn't mean production has to abide by these laws as far as production goes. We just can't sell, trade or do private sales with our different barrel / format rifles. Most of these are through contract for LEO or other private sales but I would say this is maybe 5-8% of production coming from our Maryland location. The main reason we like using HBAR style barrels is due to the contour of the barrel itself. Since it tapers off perfectly where need be were able to follow the contour in order to balance the rifle out which matches perfectly with our gas system. Essentially you're getting a medium contour barrel with all the benefits of the hbar and none of the negatives.
Exellent review Sir 👏👏👏👏👏 you got right to the point . I got the same rifle on layaway at a pawnshop . can't wait to pay it off. Thank for the review .
Got mine for $959. The gas piston versions are quite expensive. The DI isn't expensive at all for the amount of gun you get. Just my opinion. It's all subjective.
Both their e series and their ic di are very affordable for what you get. The non-ambi e series can be found from 900-1200 while their ic di can be found from 1450-1650.
I think the propriety rail is sweet. Airy, and strong. Rail skins feel terrific too. And as you mentioned, all the customizable real estate one needs. Yours didn't have the Skirmish sights. Nor the Geissele SSE trigger upgrade. Both add to the cost, but are great. Their irons are on another level. Good job, and great rifle...
As someone looking to get their first rifle, what are some things I should know about this? He said to make sure you like the rails, but *what* about the rails? I’m sold on looks and from what I can tell, this is a good/high quality rifle for an affordable price. Also, what are the hesitations with direct impingement? Thanks!
Well with just your standard m4 style rifle u can change the rails by changing the barrel nut. Lwrc did something a bit outside the box. Their rails are proprietary because of the way the upper is inter grated. But trust me if u buy one of these u won’t be dissatisfied. Great gun
Depends on the 55g loading. With my LWRC 16.1" ic di I'm able to get just under 2moa with imi M193 and 1.6moa with federal xm193. When using 55g sierra tipped matchking I'm able to get 0.8moa from bench.
Can you review the attachment scopes for this gun? From what I know you can only use lwrci scopes on it because of the rail? Could you go more in detail why you said make sure you like this rail?
@@chrisr.1391 yea the mlok one you can attach any but the lwrci rail you can only attach lwrci scopes etc from what I hear cuz it’s a proprietary lwrci rail
Good review, thank you. I just bought one today and I share a similar slight hesitation concerning the handrail. Probably not a big deal because it basically has everything I'd put on it anyway; optics along the top pickatinny rail, light on the side rail, maybe some attachment points for a two point sling. Really impressed with how light it is.
I have one and wish it was the Mlock version. LWRC does have some accessories like light mounts and sling mounts but I’d like to have a different hand stop or vertical grip options without having to screw a piece of rail on first to mount it to. Does anyone make a direct mount vertical grip for the LWRC one that screws directly to the rail?
Review was pretty solid up until, LWRC Mid-Tier? Are you new to the AR platform? (Not hating btw, thumbs up) but LWRC is on the same level as KAC, LMT, Daniel Defense & BCM. That price point is to stay competitive since their other rifles are for the rich folk. Similar to H&K with their VP9... everything H&K makes is expensive except the VP9 because they won't be able to sell to the rest of us with their typical pricing...
Based on my research for an direct impingement ar15 I have decided to go with the lwrc di. Comparing just the two the main difference is the bolt design. kac sr15 has their e3 bolt design with has rounded lugs on the bolt compared to the standard square lugs on the lwrc. The e3 design is more reliable but for a shtf gun or just wanting an ar the square lugs are strong enough and are reliable enough. For the money I think the lwrc is all you would ever need and is a great rifle. And the upper on the lwrc is compatible with other ar uppers because it has the standard square lug bolt design.
I've owned many different ar's over the years. I picked up my lwrc di and never looked back. It is amazing.
I absolutely LOVE my LWRC DI’s so much I bought additional ones. They’re an absolute work of art and a joy to shoot with awesome accuracy.
In my opinion this is the most slept on rifle on the market. I don't know how none of the big channels talk about it.
The most beautiful ar15 that has ever exist3d in di version
Certainly one of the best.
just bought one. I live in jersey so I don't get to use all of the product I bought but I'm still super pumped !
Very very outstanding video young man. Clean language too. Thanks. Great job. Keep up the good work. Thanks a lot friend. SC Navy vet. 1965 🇺🇸😊
Well done . Going to cost more than the aero precision m4e1 I interest in .
I just got the same exact one and I love it! Looks beautiful too!!! All you need is a red dot
I have this rifle. It’s brilliant!
That’s a beautiful rifle I wish I could find one.. it’s like trying to find a leprechaun..
I like your style Sir. It's very refreshing. Thanks for your work.

I had a nephew just get one and he was the 1708 person in line.
The ic di comes in m-lok also
The handstop has qd mount on the back of it too
Thank you for your review. I have the piston version and love it.

Very Nice !🇺🇸🗽👍
I still havent figured out why LWRC rifle are so damn expensive.

I AGREE WITH HANK GOOD STUFF

I like you review but
How accurate is it when using 55-grain bullets a 100 yard?

I have the MLOC version. I can attach any optics I want to the pic rail on top.

LWRC doesnt make optics my friend

Buy the mlok handrail on their site
Great review!

You can buy the mlok rail directly from them and install it yourself

He corrected himself in the same sentence, More top tier, at a mid tier price.
If you had to pick one and forget the price, LWRC or Knights Armament and why?

I own an Lwrc di and if price was no option, I'd go with the KAC....
@@ajlukelepuke KAC is way overrated and hype
What is the price$$$. ??? Looking at one with optic on it already. Think there asking around 1900 dollars, not sure what kinda optic yet.
1350 without optic.
@@CitrusJerz I'd say that's a tad low. I've seen them closer to 1,500.
Plentiful of good Rifles, half the price of this one. Not interested. Good review
