This is the most accurate, non-biased, detailed review of this rifle that i've seen on youtube. I also own a 16" LWRC and can agree with everything you said including the recoil and accuracy. I actually put a BRT EZ Tune .73 tube in mine while running an A5 H2 buffer. A lot smoother shooting now and shooting wolf gold 55gr will eject the brass at around 4-4:30. Haven't had a hickup yet with that tune and it's right around where I want the brass to eject since I plan on running a polonium k suppressor with this setup.
Purchased the non-mlok model $1235 shipped. Unbelievable value for the price and also even harder to think these actually sold brand new for under $1000 at one point.
Lol what recoil? I even have the 10.5 barrel and there is no recoil like saying a .22 mag has recoil. I love recoil and I have none kn any ARs
I overpaid due to the lab leak situation. $1700 for the non-MLOK complete rifle. But I have zero regrets. Tacticalifornia made me want one as a broke teenager, and now I’ve had mine for almost 3 years. Smooth-shooting, fully ambidextrous lower, accurate and reliable.
lab leak situation! lol funny bro! thanks for the laugh. I will be using that one going forward.
IC = Individual Carbine, DI for Direct Impingement.
Fun fact the reason why all LWRC barrel is fluted because MD gun laws, it required all AR15 has heavy profile barrel. The majority of AR owner refer medium profile so LWRC flute their barrel to achieving medium barrel weight and pass MD gun laws. Also one of the strong marketing feature over other AR manufactures.
I got a complete rifle of the DI. weight about 6.5 lbs emtpy and the balance feel quite nice, BCG and bold upgrade really make it a upgrade over traditional AR15. Ambi control is where the bread of butter of this rifle, they even easy to manipulate than KAC or LMT.
At $1100 - $1500 rifle its hard to beat for dollar to features. I saw not too much review on these over let say Daniel Defense DDMV4.
Lmao, no. The lmt ambi system shits all over the lwrc crap. The kac "ambi" isnt ambi. I like my kac, its a fine rifle. Its not ambi
This is the best DI value on the market bar none.
No lie!!!! I would never buy another AR15 that isnt a LWRC!!! And if you ever get that fully auto paperwork you already have the switch for it! Once you own one you'll never own another brand, unkess you're rich and luke to spend double the money for less of a firearm! I got the 10.5 to match the Daniel Defense MK-18!! The LWRC is literally lubricates itself you can shoot these and probably never need to lube and clean it even know I enjoy cleaning my toys, I'm sure some of you peeps know what im sayin. Enjoy the bad boy!!
@@miketyson8933I just like the smell of carbon and gun cleaning solvents lol
Very very outstanding video young man. Very clean language too. Thanks. Great job. Keep up the good work. Thanks a lot friend. SC Navy vet. 1965. 🇺🇸😊
I got 3 lwrc di models and 1 piston, they are sweet rifles, very well made very sturdy, can't go wrong with them
@@chrismartinez4727 that’s my opinion as well. People say pistons run cleaner and are more reliable. But while that might be true. The di is WAY lighter and way softer shooting in my experience. Even my sig rattler is heavy as fuck for such a tiny gun.
$1550 is average price and that's what I paid. You pay barely over mid tier price but you get VERY TOP TEIR AR-15!!
I have this LWRC rifle. I find the H2 buffer leaves a moderate recoil. I dunno, i'm happy with it. GREAT FREAKING RIFLE!
This was my first AR and I love it
just got this for Christmas. I’m so grateful
I've wanted one of these for bout a year now. Thanks for the share!!
Got a DDv7. Gearing up to get LWRC M61C-DI, because i want one. Gotta say though, DD makes the best barrels on the planet
I love the LWRC IC DI. It is a great, well put together AR for the money. I don't care for fluted barrels but other than that for the cost of this AR 15 you are getting an all around good quality AR!! If you shop around on the internet you can find some great deals on the best price. For example, in most gun shops and stores they are normally around $1,600 to $1,750. However, I have seen them as low as $1,350 which is a smoking deal.
A standard carbine weight is all that is required in any semi auto AR rifle, if it is gassed correctly..An H buffer was needed in full auto and the H2 was needed in full auto with the heavier barrel to prevent bolt bounce and excessive carrier velocity malfunctions .. A quality adj gas block (such as the Rifle Speed adj gas block) is what any quality rifle should have if optimum perceived recoil is desired with the myriad of different pressured ammunition on the market...
I love my first LWRC DI so must I bought two more and find all three of mine to be very smooth shooting with outstanding accuracy and the only recommended thing to do is buy lots of ammo especially now a days as they’re now targeting AR15 food. Btw, why would you ever consider switching out a spiraled cold hammered barrel for a cheap aero precision, ballistic advantage barrel just for length wise when you can very easily ship your current LWRC upper to LWRC and have them swap out the barrel because doing it the way you’re saying will Frankenstein the upper plus it’s a proprietary barrel system and attachment to the upper so don’t think you can anyway without sending to LWRC, thank God for that 🙄
I have an lwrc m6ic and its my go to rifle. low recoil, the barrel stays cool, comes standard with a very good forward hand stop, the grip feels great, and the trigger is good. Out the box its the most bang for your buck
Awesome looking upper
Have the full LWRCI 16.1 DI Mlok rifle. Best rifle value wise on the market for me. Pushing 4,000 rounds without a single failure of any kind. Definitely recommend.
Awesome Video. Thank you. Cool custom built computer in the back.
I love mine in sniper grey
I have an LWRC tricon (M6 and MK6). They are AWESOME!
Just bought mine today.
Direct impingement model with the Mlok hand guard, no sights, no accessories, 1 Pmag.
$1800
That is a little more expensive than what I have seen but that is still an awesome rifle.
Nice shooting at rhe start man, especially while moving.
I bought my complete rifle in 2018 for $1600 in Honolulu with their proprietary rail system. At least I got all the furniture, wish it would’ve come with their BUIS.
I've had the non mlok version for a few years. It was a little over gassed, and I had to put in an h2 buffer(mine came with an h). Other than that, it has been awesome becoming my favorite AR that i own. Not a single malfunction, or issue of any kind, in 3k+ rounds, and is more accurate than all my other ARs, including an LMT, FN, and a build with. DD barrel,
Great videos. Please do an AR brand tier list review.
Hk and the Ldub are hands down the best
ar's any price
I bought a di about 7 years ago when they first came out and stopped counting rounds at 20k 3 years ago
You got your Di barrel to shoot around 20k rounds? That's impressive. I have no where near that round count however from what I gather on various forums this barrel life seems to be around the 10k-13k round mark.
I said I stopped counting at 20k 3 years ago
It easily has over 30k and still groups under 2 inches at 100
Your getting 10 to 13k out of non chf stainless barrels
There's a reason Ldub barrels cost 600 bucks
Nice one John!!!
I like the aero precision enhanced uppers. And lowers for that matter.
Lol hahaha its funny, you're paying the same price for a LOWER end firearm, coming in here and typing that hahahaha Im sure many guys got a good laugh, funny stuff dude
American 💪🏻 defense💪🏻 manufacturing 💪🏻💪🏻
I agree that they're a tad bit over gassed but I found if you replace the carbine spring with a Sprinco Blue Enhanced spring and leave the H2 buffer in, it takes it down enough to get a consistent 3 o'clock ejection.
I put a geissele braided buffer spring with their H2 buffer and that tuned the rifle perfectly. Ejection is right at 3:30 - 4 o'clock across the wide range of factory loads. Took a very noticeable amount of perceived recoil on single shot runs but when doing multi string drills you can definitely tell more weight is being thrown forward after full spring reciprocation.
@@TerminalM193 that's awesome. I've heard mixed things about the Geissele breaided spring but I'm glad it's working perfectly for you.
a good upper should do 1/2 moa with match ammo
I have 2 of these full rifles IC-DIs and was only 1350 each.
Also have 2 of the IC-A2s. Those were 1500 even. All were brand new at FFL. Do some hunting and you can find these amazing rifles at Aero build prices.
You got an INSANE deal on your A2s. I can't find any of their piston builds for under 2k.
🔥
Gas, gassy, ⛽️, gassier, gassiest, Gas-X, burps and oh, BTW it gasses. We understood, but great rifle and review.
So what other ARs do you recommend? softer shooting & realibility .
Mil-spec barrels won’t work on LWRC uppers, though LWRC barrels will work on milspec uppers. Found out when I purchased their barrel nut wrench. Returned it when I saw I’d have to send it in to them for any barrel replacements.
I wanted to put the spiral flute barrel on an older straight one I had. 5.56 piston. Said I had to send it to them, and was about $750 labor and parts, plus shipping if I remember correctly.
I have that Midwest industries flash hider, I thought I was the only person in the world to have one 😂
What mount is that for the LPVO? thanks.
When I first bought mine it was easy to see it as overpriced based on initial performance. After running the piss out of it though I really think the icdi is second to none in the sub $2000 category of fighting rifles. It is not as accurate as DD and maybe not a smooth. However It has a true fully ambi lower which only a handful of reputable companies offer but all of those guys are 1k+ for their lowers alone. The BCG is superior do everything on the market accept maybe LMT and KAC but neither of them have an integral gas key. What really won me over was the proprietary rail which I hated at first. Lwrcs mounting system is light years superior to DDs. It’s lighter and when your rifle falls out of the back of your Polaris, down a creek bank and into I pile of boulders not only does it still shoot but your irons are still sighted in. The trigger sucks so much though I’d almost rather pay an extra $100 for the rifle without one in it just so I didn’t have to feel that disappointed that I payed $1700 for a rifle that uses what feels like a PSA trigger.
what do you mean by 77 grain hsm? what's the exact amount name and where to buy it ?
What scope, light and grip do you have on it ? Can you share link to purchase?
LWRC > DD - Geissele - Radian - or really any other manufactures besides KAC & LMT
For the fit and finish, definitely over DD and Geissele. However with accuracy I feel like the LWRC falls behind. From what I've read DD, Geissele, and Radian barrels are very accurate and sub moa.
@@gundeals which ammo do you suggest running to get sub moa accuracy? I found one guy who had great success with 62gr fiocchi so I plan on picking up soon.
Will you do a review on Larue’s match grade upper? It retails for $750, and includes a bcg with an additional orifice under the gas key (not visible with gas key screwed on bcg) that seals gas better than milspec, gas block thermal fitted and sealed with ferrule, and semi-monolithic rail made from 7075. The barrel is sub moa as well. There’s only 1 up to date video on this..
I think this is actually dollar for dollar the best value for what you get. Only thing is you’ll probably have to wait a few weeks to receive it.
@@Aa-dr6ix The only thing that sometimes goes wrong with all the reviews, is that when they get real popular, the prices go up with the popularity! And if you already have to wait a couple weeks to get one now , what happens when every joe blow is looking for one ? So maybe you should keep it to your self , well until I can check it out first , and maybe buy one ! 😝
@@sandrageorge4429 Only thing above it is KAC SR15, LMT, JP rifles but they’re double the price. I’d just snag it before they raise prices again. The upper was 650-700 last time, now it’s 750. I already ordered mine 2 weeks ago but I won’t be back in country to use it for another few months. The normal Larue rifles retail around 2k but if you get the Larue match grade upper and pair it with a cheap Psa or Aero lower, you’re about 1000 or slightly less. Can’t beat that.
Awhile back they had what was known as “Ultimate upper kits (uuk)”. It came with everything except the lower for $800 but they stopped selling it. It included the complete upper, stock, lower parts kit, larue mbt trigger. That being said, $750 for just the complete upper is still a good deal. You can do some research/googling on Larue.
If you’re interested in Lwrc though, they have a deal for $760 for just the upper without a bcg or charging handle. Not bad of a deal if you’re into lwrc.
@@Aa-dr6ix I’ll check it out ! Don’t need a cheap lower ! Already got DDA and 2LWRC s
How much more “recoil impulse” am I going to feel with this rifle compared to my DD?
This vs DD?
Buddy of mine has a LWRC IC and I have the DDM4v7 and he wants a Daniel now. Gonna be honest, I like the LWRC look better. Ambidextrous is useful too. But hands down, the DD is the better gun.
I own both and LWRCI is better in every way EXCEPT barrel accuracy. My DD is definitely more accurate.
@Gundeals where are the gun deals?
Would you suggest this or a geissele as a hard use upper?
I think Geisseles are easier to find. But pound for pound I think they both rock.
Sounds expensive
After having owned a DD V7, I don't see all the hype on these uber expensive guns. I mean they are cool, but $2-3k cool??? I think not. I guess if you're not willing to build something yourself, and you should be because it's pretty easy/fun, I could maybe see it, specially if purchased on sale or something. But I have built several Aero builds now as nice, if not nicer than the "mil-spec" DD I had for almost half what some pay for the Gucci brands. nice video though.
This is the weapon the army should have adopted just bought the 2nd one after putting damn near 20k rounds though my last one, bought the first one for 1.6k, was an ok deal, just got the new one for 1.2k -- at that price point there's no better rifle. This dudes a hater
over priced
What? You can find complete lwrc rifles for around $1300. Tell me which other Gucci rifle can you buy for that money?
Interesting cuz I have 2 of them and they both eject at around 4 o'clock
Great rifle. Hands down was worth every penny when it was $600-800 cheaper 6 years ago or so. Don't waste your money on PSA 😂
I'm a huge fan of LWRC, and I firmly believe the M6IC Di is the best value for the dollar. Enhanced BCG, full ambi lower, aestheticly pleasing, and absolutely capable of sub MOA accuracy. I have multiple and they've been rock solid for years.
Agreed! Its nice to buy a firearm and know and feel you got a LOT more then you paid for!
I couldn't agree more! It's the best AR-15 style rifle iv'e ever owned by a long shot, pun intended, haha. It's the 1st rifle that i have kept 'as is' -other than a Tubbs flat wire buffer spring, and thats it!
does it take regular ar mags?? or special ones the one you quoted, I know you cant put a regular ar barrel in it tho.
@GRIM_MOD it takes regular mags. Only the 6.8SPC model takes specific mags. Also, you can swap the barrel. You just need to file down the index pin a little bit so that it fits.
But why is it so cheap at a price of 1600 i found is it just as good as a DD?? is this worth it@@airborneivan
