This looks awesome! This video was beautifully put together too. The shot of the slider, from a slider, perfectly in sync at 3:25 is a fab proof of concept. Cheers!
Mine arrived today - I’ve barely had a chance to use it but the build quality is phenomenal and it feels like it will be a proper workhorse and genuinely useful … unlike my gimbal, which has so far proved to be a waste of time! I can even see myself shooting B roll on my phone in some circs - the phone holder is very solid and could help you reach those parts a DSLR might not be able to. Do get the bundle - the bag alone is worth the extra cost. Very excited by the possibilities of this exceptionally pleasing device.
I'm curious how this does with closeup macro work. Edelkrone's tiny slider and the Headone isn't suitable (something to do with the Headone's pan precision), even though it looks perfect for macro shots. Usually with macro slider work you can get away with a tiny bit of vertical wobble, but any back and forth horizontal jitters are hard to hide even with motion stabilization.
In gerald undones review he mentioned a jittering problem at either end when looping. It's not mentioned here, have ifootage corrected this. That's what's holding me off from a purchase
Unfortunately most of these so called reviews are just promotional content. Very few people are as honest and crititcal as Gerald Undone. This video is just a commercial. Therefore the lack of critical Information.
We do product overviews, not reviews. We are a small team making these, with a lot of products to cover. We can’t use each product in depth over time enough to “review” it. Instead we give you an overview and a bit of analysis as to who we think will be interested in t and where it sits in the market. Carl
Hello ProAV, For a long time now I've been learning a great deal from your channel. I just picked up the slider. Great review you made here. My question is this. Can I tilt the head while it is sliding and panning. I've reached out to ifootage support several times over that last 2 weeks and they are absent. Please let me know.
You can either call the office on +44 (0) 1442 292929 or email sales@proav.co.uk to get in touch. Myself and Carl have both used one so we're both happy to answer any questions here. Dan
Just got my slider but can't figure this out. Is it possible to shoot an astrophotography timelapse? 20 second exposure, 1 second interval and so forth. Everything I've tried the slider moves during the shot?
do you have to program your move every time or can you easily reuse the same move over and over with the push of a button? can you save and recall preset moves?
No definite dates yet I’m afraid for new orders. We have a list of customers waiting and stock is coming in small batches at the moment. Best to speak to the sales team on 01442 292929 or sales@proav.co.uk for the most up to date information. Hopefully the wait isn’t too long though! Carl
Not motion controlled, unless you use a separate pan tilt head on top of this slider, which wouldn’t be particularly elegant. If you need motorised tilt as well they do the Shark Slider Mini: www.proav.co.uk/ifootage-shark-slider-mini-complete Carl
Thanks for creating this video. How loud is the motor in db? I am looking for a good motorised slider. I am looking for all 3 features in one slider. It should be as quiet as possible, can carry at least 5kg weight and I can use vertically. Any suggestions please?
@@ProAVTV The worm gear inside the motor twisted and broke because the rails were not aligned during manufacture. Company and Amazon dealer have been giving me the run around for 2 months, so I'm raising a dispute with Amazon to get a refund and we'll get your product. Vital piece of gear for what we shoot.

Just ordered one from you!! Cant wait!
BOUGHT! cant wait to use this in about every job I have! Hoping you have stock and I dont have to wait the 2-4 weeks haha!
Might be just what we are looking for!
If you need a small, but simple motion control slider for a mirrorless camera, we really recommend it.

IFootage have been fixing that issue after Geralds video and apparently it will be fixed in a firmware update next week.

@@ProAVTV Thanks for what you do.
I'm surprised with the development time that this problem exists. I hope ifootage will let it be known when they fix it

No you can’t with this system I’m afraid. This is only a 2 axis, pan and slide system.
Ok so two questions -
1 - can It do a timelapse over say 3 weeks?
2 - Can it interface with Dragonframes ARC motion control for my stop motions?
I am loving the look of this. Very interested in this when it’s available. Any more news on availability ?
It's now shipping, we're expecting our next batch to be with us in 2-4 weeks: www.proav.co.uk/ifootage-shark-slider-nano-bundle

@@ProAVTV thanks Dan, I’d love to have a chat with you guys about this one, how’s the best way of getting in touch with someone who has used it ?

i would love to order one and i don't know if you have them in stock now or still waiting for the batch ?
I want it

is there anything like this but with a longer crane ? fully motorized
Looks like it starts shipping in Feb 2021
We are hoping to get them before then

I hear the 5.5 pound weight limit for on tripod and I’m just like 😬. Idk if my rig is going to clear that limit.
Then I’m afraid you might need a larger slider!
Carl
does it follow you when you move ?
Thinking of ordering one. When is the stock shipping. Any definite date?

I made the mistake of buying a Zeapon, lasted 2 weeks, wished I'd seen this.
Just looked up the Zeapon and it looks tiny! What broke on it? iFootage are a very reputable brand, if you want one of these just let us know
