Should I do a LIVE event to show off all of the features?
Yes. That would be so awesome...
Absolutely!
Armando, you should definitely do a LIVE event to show off all the features.
PLEASE
Defiantly you should. i have a the a7iii with Mc-11 adapter and 18-35mm sigma art.. on thig blew my mind is ur autofocus tracking.. i have been struggling with the menus and cant find how to turn it on.. if you can make a video about it am sure there is alot of us out there that have the exact same issue... keep up the good work.. u littlry made me buy th a7iii after your kando video..
Man this thing is awesome. Love that tracked object function, it looks fantastic.
Fantastic "non review" vid Armando, you're keep getting better and better with every new video. Keep up the great work man! 🤜🏼
Boris Novak thanks for watching bro, I know you're an OG to this channel. 👊🏼
OMG. The shot at 10:30 is so fucking buttery smooth! Best slider I've ever seen (at reasonable price point). And the autofocus tracking is looking great as well! Great review. Cheers!
The z-axis movement is really appealing. Great video Armando 👍
Thanks Tomas 👊🏼
DUDE!! You're b-roll is JUICY!!!!! Great video bro
Haha hopefully I can be as good as you man 🙌🏼
I'm impressed. I own the Edelkrone Slider Plus with Target Module & Motion Module and like it a lot but it has a few quirks about it. Been looking to upgrade. Thanks for sharing.
Probably the same quarks I had, I'll tell you this is much better and almost half the price.
I love how clear and straight to the point this review is. It's just a shame that the GH5 tracking won't be half as good as the exemple you did on your Sony.
Damnnnn! Glad you did this video. Was gonna get a rhino slider but it looks like this is in the same price range and better. This will be my next big purchase 😁
Holy moly that are some crisp moving shots
That thing is a beast 😍 and dude your B-roll, crispy!!
Armando I have just received this slider, but I’m not able to get the trigger function going on my EOS 70D. I connect the trigger cable to the X2 mini but it does not trigger the camera.
I find your videos both useful and entertaining. Keep up the great work!
Mobasher Helmy thanks man!
TOP VIDEO THANK YOU BRO - I love ur channel for 4 years now
that is one bad ass slider!
if i get better at videography i should def look in to this!
thanks for sharing
Solid video, man! Now I want that slider!
I think you'll really like it especially the time lapse features.
If the target control isn't one of the best selling points, I don't know what is. Great video!
Target control is gold!
thanks Armando for your excellent demo. I agree to your points in reference to the advantages to Edelkrone , but i have still 5 technical Questions:
1. I wonder how we can control the focus? is there an attachment to control the focus (if the camera is left to autofocus, it may be restless someties or focus on the wrong detail?
2. how silent will the slider be, if you want to film some interviews? will it be audible in the Interview?
3. are there also some curved slider segments? if so, that would be very neat!
4. if I set the slider to move close enough to the speaker, will the camera be able to tilt 90 degree down and turn to film like a dokument camera, if the speaker wants to draw something on his lap. We could switch between different keys to film the speaker and move + zoom on the page he draws on, and zoom out again with another key
5. how many preprogrammable keys of cameramovements can the system store and what is the approximate fastest time to move the full distance of two slider units from Point A to B? I am seriously considering to choose this, if our answers are supporting our purpose
Amazing 😍
Great stuff Armando!
Thanks man!
Damn that's a nice piece!
That looks so awesome. I need that slider.
Thanks for providing such content in youtube :D
Muhammad D. Salih thanks for watching!
A very beautiful and sexy smooth slider for sure! I love that you can program perfect movements. I have the original shark slider and still use it all the time! The nice thing about it is for run and gun I can move a lot fast than taking the time to mess with multiple motors, the app and programming everything.
Great video and review, looks so professional
Thank you!!
Well done. Thanks!
awesome video as always...
That’s one badass slider!
Great editorial!
!!Gracias por el video Armando!!
Gracias por mirarlo!
actually inspired by your video that i am now looking at this model, thanks ;)
Looks interesting, can you set it to ping pong from point A to B in an interview scenario? If so, how smooth is it at the ends? Does it slow down at the end points and start up again?
You rock! Great video!
Thanks
Great overview, very detailed and well shot.
Strumzilla thank you!
Very clear video how to use it! Thank you!
Awesome your content is going beyond reality extreme level of immersion .
Thanks man appreciate the kind words ✌🏼
I really enjoyed the video
So at this point I am supposed to simultaneously control my camera, audio recorder, led light panels and now also slider with my iPhone. I’m running out of phones here 😅
dope! Great video, great review!
Thanks Maxwell!
I'm probably going to pick one of these up, I'll make sure to use your affiliate link :) I'm starting to tackle more gear reviews over on my channel on-top of my tuts. Thanks again!
Great review, I really like the look of this slider. As I would buy this slider primarily to use for interviews I'm interested to know about the level of the motor noise and if the noise level is low enough that you could shoot with an on camera directional mic without the motor noise being noticeable or not?
Good work
Thanks for watching.
Hey Armando, thanks for another great video. Do you know if this slider allows for a loop function? Meaning if I set the A & B points, can it return from B to A with a reversed movement? Or will you need to manually press the "rewind" button every time and press start again to initiate the electric slide?
Thanks in advance; appreciate all your hard work, dedication, and commitment.
Do you use this slider with your C200 setup? Can it handle the weight?
This is great! I am wondering what tripod you recommend and does this just screw right to the top of a tripod or do you need a head of some type? Thanks!
I just checked their online store they are only shipping USA and India ! :(
C200 is too heavy right? I tried and returned this a while ago. Great product it if supports heavier cameras.
Does this use stepper motors or servo motors?
this motorized slider are amazing.
It really is!
Armando Ferreira would love to see sideways pan & tilt up - down movements that's gonna be awesome shot.
I was literally just talking about Nelson about looking for a motorized slider!
If you ever need to use it let me know bro.
Trying to decide if I should go with this one or the new edelkrone setup and pay the extra money for the focus controller. Both seem to have pros and cons.
Does it have a "ramp" and "loop" function like the Rhino? (I mean: can it loop forever between A and B positions, for an interview for example, and slowly decrease and increase speed at the end of the slider range? Or will it bump whenever it hits the end of the slider?)
I think Edelkrone has "ramp" and "loop" function
Will this work with Canon 1DX Markii or Canon 80D?
Thank you - can it loop the movement? For example, automatically move A-B-A-B (for a long interview, perhaps) without stopping?
Aw dude, I just got the new Edelkrone kit in, but this is looking amazing....
Edelkrone is good bro, I think they have a good concept but I don't like the rubber belt system they use. After a while it's very jumpy and if you want to use it manually you have to remove the whole belts and it's a pain. If I want to go manual I can just easily push one button, take out the electronics and pop in the flywheel in under 5 seconds. Also love that I can build this out as large or small as I need. You'll be happy for a while until you realize it's limitations then you'll want to get something else which is what happened to me
I already have a $300 Selens Nordic manual slider w/ a flywheel so hopefully between the two I'll be happy, haha.
Heard a lot of good things about this slider. The only reason drawing back people (myself too) is "the price". This is the 3rd time, i watched X2 motorized slider. look like awesome one! thanks for the video!
Hoan Lee compared to all the other sliders I've bought this one is worth it. Haha I remember paying $2500 for my Edelkrone slider, this feels like a bargain.
@@mondobytes 😯 😪
Armando I just found your Channel and I was very close to purchasing the K5 konova with motorized slider and now you got me thinking I was going to pair this with Sony a 6500. Absolutely fantastic review what did the setup cost
What a nice slider.
Great video. A question tho. How fast does it go? How long does it take from one side to the other on its fastest setting?
Let talk about how much I like that SHIRT!! yeah star wars LOL ok. oh and thankyou for this video!!!
Go ahead and buy one guys, looks great.
Love your "review". I am new in the videography industry and I've been on the market for a slider as a compliment my Ronin S. From the footage, I want to know about the noise level because I noticed that when the motor moves it can easily be pick up by the microphone. I'm not sure how close the microphone or what type of microphone did you use but motor noise is fairly noticeable. Thanks
Forget the slider. The real concern here is, how did Armando get his Sony A7III to track his subject continuously by tapping on the screen at 10:18 when the rest of us get sent into manual focus mode when we tap on the screen for focusing.
Great review . I own a Syrup Genie with their Magic carpet rail which is a great rig for My Nikon D800e with heavy lenses, but not truly portable especially with using two Genie minis to get the the three axis function. This might be a much smaller version for my Fuji X-T3 and I also like the fact that you have used it for a longer period of time before reaching a conclusion .
Still love mine and feel it's the best option currently for mirrorless cameras.
That looks better than Edelkrone, but it lacks follow focus. Can it have more than two points A/B? So can you "program" that consists of more than two points?
i am looking for a slider for my music & cooking channel ...so thanks for the vid!
good review!
Thanks I appreciate that.
Can this go back and forth continuously in the follow target mode? a to b point and then back to a?
Hey Armando love your videos plz make a video about mobile Filmmaking
Can additional motion control target points be set beyond two (A & B)?
Bro, I'm geeking out over here. techology is crazy, that's actually cheap for what you get out of this.
I'm going to go ahead and like this video.
This is awesome. Can you make it keep going between A and B points automatically until you tell it to stop?
Yup
So, would you recommend this slider or the new Edelkrone you have now? I currently use the version 1 of the Edelkrone that you used to have and I'm thinking about getting a new one, too. CONGRATS ON THE 400K, btw!
They're both great options, I'll say get the Edelkrone if you want a lighter more portable setup that can also hold more heavier cameras. If you're using smaller mirrorless cameras A7III and below and not traveling much then the iFootage is great because it's 35% cheaper.
Great video! Thank you. Does this have the ability to loop and ease in/out, like if using as a b-camera on an interview?
Nate Pfeil yup!
Really digging the filmmaking gear videos, about to order the Moza Mini MI and now you got me thinking about this slider. A6500 or a second hand A7sII?
Thanks for watching man!
A6500 has better focus system I think
do you only have A and B points or can you have more "in between" points?
Hey Armando, How long does one battery last using the slider running back and forth for a paralux interview scenario? Many thanks
I haven't used it in an interview like that but my guess is 1.5 hours
does the timelapse feature it work with 5dmkIV? I don't see a shutter cable for Canon listed on their website.
Is it possible to carry a Canon C200 with the slider? Thanks for the Video! ;-)
Okay....I was at my computer ready to purchase most of the edelkrone set up and decided to watch a few more videos....I found your video!!! You still liking this over your edelkrone? Thanks for the video.
Great video
Thanks 😊 How you mount your sigma 18-35 lance to your sony camera
A few questions: 1. Does the tracking feature have a LOOP function so if I am doing a talking head interview it will go back and forth constantly? 2. Does it have the ability to do AC power? 3. If not, can you use one of those Sony dummy batteries you plug into a wall? 4. Would you need 2 of them then, one for each module? Are you worried at all that the area that connects on the rails itself might misalign at all and cause the module to exhibit a BUMP in the footage? Thanks for the video. I just bought the Edelkrone and at $3,500 for all pieces it's kinda steep and debating returning for this.
Can you buy additional rails?
Hi , what tripod do you use to support the slider?
does anyone know if theres a portable travel size slider?
This is amazing for filming i love to fill bit i dont have any gadget
Can it pan diagonally and in different speed?
Great video, I was wondering how quiet is the motor. Could you use it for interviews or independent filmmaking?
bradley furney yes you can, it's really quiet
Hey thnx for the video. I really struggle with the timelapse part of the part and fiddling with key frames and curves. Hownhas your experience been? Also the last shot you did (picking up phone) was it through target control?
In all honesty I don't use the time lapse feature. The last shot was me filming my friend picking up the phone, I used the target control.
How slow can it go from one end to the other?
Hey brother! Did you ever try the iFootage S1A3, which I believe is able to hold more weight than this setup? I'm going back and forth between that and Edelkrone's motion kit and don't know without trying them which one I'm digging more!
I haven't because I wanted something small and portable, but after seeing how great this works I'm looking into it for just studio stuff because I'll be able to use my C200 which I can't with the mini only DSLR and mirrorless cameras
Armando Ferreira spot on. I’m lookin for something to hold my 1DXii and whichever cinema cam I add in here soon. Love to hear your thoughts if you get your hands on either of those heavier weight capacity systems!
This looks really interesting, but there is one hole in this slider: A signal. I want to do green screening so I can have multiple me's in the same room (Multiple shots of the same track with the subject and the green screen in different spots). However all shots has to be in sync so they can be lined up correctly. An indicator such as 3 beeps on the slider or something similar to that would help. Does this slider or the app have that sort of function?
Also, does this take Canon Rebel cameras?
I warmly welcome. How much does the whole set, which we can see in the film, cost?
Any update on the slider videos ?
Do you have a slider recommendation for an Android or that doesn't use a phone
Can you please please please do a tutorial on the timeline mode but not for time lapses but for complex video moves. That would be super helpful as it's very confusing. super powerful but very very confusing. Could you do it?
Wow what is the model for the slider?
Can we attach our phone if we don't have a Camera??
What is the maximum speed of the slider?
I HAVE THAT SHIRT! It's my favorite!
but honestly anyone that likes Star Wars has that shirt. but that won't stop me from pointing it out.
