  • 20 Min Full Body Pilates Workout | Pilates for Weight Loss Challenge Day 26
    We are focusing on abs, arms, back, & glute work for day 26! I recommend using a light set of dumbbells for these exercises. This workout includes a a warmup, workout, and stretching at the end. This workout is part of a 28 Day Pilates for weight loss and strength challenge.

    This pilates workout is a great routine to implement whether your goal is pilates for weight loss, full body strengthening, or giving your body a more "toned" look. This routine includes a warmup, ab arms and thigh exercises and cooldown stretching. My pilates workouts are easy to follow, use simple cues, and have a balanced approach to cueing- talking for form tips and giving you breaks from talking to focus on the movements. I use elements commonly found in fitness videos like interval timers to keep the pace moving in between exercises, and to allow you to focus on the movements, rather than counting repetitions. My hope is that this routine will be easy to follow, easy to understand my cueing, effective at challenging and strengthening you and supportive to your weight loss/ wellness journey.

    Day 26 done! I can’t believe I’m almost done with this challenge! I love the progression of these exercises. I definitely feel stronger but I love how I still am getting a good workout still. And I definitely appreciate that I don’t need to spend hours in the gym for that!

      Thank u! Yes that and the count down timer are because of my own experiences with doing UA-cam fitness videos.. I hate having to press my remote to see how much time is left haha glad u appreciate it! 🥰

    Day 26 done. Was able to do the plank this time with only 2 small breaks. First time the plank move was in a workout I couldn't even hold the position for one second! Definite improvement.

    This was a solid workout. Offerings with 5lbs is not as easy as I thought it would be. Definitely a good one to repeat to get your body heated. Slow and steady wins the race! Amirite?

      Yes exactly! And same I am used to using heavier for arms but the positions of the first two I def think lighter will give you the best form!

    Glad I moved on to do Day 26 after feeling I’d failed at Day 25 (I know - I didn’t really fail … just didn’t have the e sliders so made it pretty impossible) Day 26 was a great workout - just wish my hips didn’t crack so much when doing leg extensions 🙄😬 thanks Rachel 🥰

    Day 26 done, I’m having a harder time finding the videos. They don’t populate in order. Also, I think there are a few challenges and I’m not sure if I am even doing the day for the initial challenge I started. Please note, I do take breaks in between, and my goal is to pick up where I left off. My legs bend at the knee, I don’t have a straight leg for some of these exercises, but I know it’s because I’m just not as flexible and don’t typically workout. I have been consistent with morning walks since December, that is the extent of my workouts other than this amazing program.

    Day 26 done. Just as I was thinking "this is an easy day," in came the glute work. Felt good though. Was able to hold my plank for the full 30 seconds. Definitely couldn't do that before I started this challenge. Thank you.

    Wondering where you got the sliders? I used towels but found my feet kept sticking to them - it was a pain in the butt! On another note, I LOVE your workouts, you have us do ergonomically correct positioning and give us different accommodations for those who need it. I have really bad knees, and had a somewhat recent hip replacement do to participating high level sports when I was younger. Like you, I did weights ( I used to own a fitness center) for any years, but I find this type of pilates gives a better full body conditioning that I never got with weights, plus the low impact suits my body! Thank you for providing this for free and the time and effort you put into making this accessible for many of us, who might not have the time or the financial means to pay for expensive memberships. YOU ROCK!!!

    Day 26 WHAT!? It's me 55yo I can't believe it's 26 days..minus a few in between.. thanks Rachel...my shoulder was hurting a little from something yesterday and I was like we will see if anything hurts I will just skip that one...I think I just needed to warm up! It's still sore but no pain! I will say when u said plank it was flight or fight as I have never done one in my life...I was gonna skip but was like Michelle don't be a baby at least try it....I think during the time u did it I did my first one for 4 or 5 sec lol and the 2nd one for maybe 8 😅 I shocked myself I know it's comparable for looking for something under the bed but I was proud ..im stronger for sure 💪..I appreciate you for making these videos and literally answering me every day ❤..i told my son you answer my comments he said oh that's nice I said every day...he said REALLY!!?? I said yep he gave u kudos 😊 he is in Texas and is a body builder and is supportive and is happy im doing something good for me...I appreciate you more than words can say! See you tomorrow!!!
