This took me back 60 years ago when I watched my maternal grandmother make her own soap. It always smelled so fresh and clean. She was the hardest working woman I’ve ever known. I miss her so bad. Miss Lori, you remind me of her. That’s absolutely the best compliment I could ever give you. God bless you and Mr. Brown.
I had to go bach and look at your name and make sure you weren't one of my cousins! Thats exactly what we would have written about our maternal grandmother!!!
I would love to know what ingredients your grandmother used. Mine great grandmother used straight up lye soap for everything- hair, body, laundry, household cleaning. I never met her, but she was a hard worker.
@@Sewmena918 she also used lye. She would set rain barrels out and dip the rain water out into a big pot. She’d boil her water and add lye and some kind of fat. I’m not sure what it was. It didn’t have a perfume smell it just smelled clean and fresh, like a morning breeze. She wasn’t a fancy woman but a very practical woman, and a Godly woman.
About 20 years ago, I did not have a wash machine and in summer, I would hang out the clothes and put washing powder in a miracle grow bottle and attach to a hose and hose them clean, then rinse with the hose. It was all I could do at the time. I wasn't working at the time and money was scarce. Winter had to wash by hand in the sink & hang around the house.
Mrs .Brown, I love you and all your info. I retired Dec 2020. At age of 62 I learnt to can, dehydrate, ferment, putting in bigger garden. And your channel has helped me, encouraged me... Thank you! May God bless you and keep you and His face shine upon you!
I have been making my own laundry soap for years. One batch lasts about 2 years, costs me under 10$ for 2 years ... can't beat that. I envy you the cabin on 20 acres homesteading life but I do a lot of home canning other preserving etc. in my city home. You've inspired me.
Floridian here, and grateful to God, for a standing home, no loss of power........ just lots of yard debris. I have a sixty foot bald cypress that shook like a ragdoll all night. The front doors rattled, and tree limbs broke and flew on the roof. After fifty years of living in Florida, you never stop holding your breath until the season is officially over. Sadly, the death toll continues to rise. You're so right Miss Lori about prayers. It's impossible for me to think of a life without FAITH, especially in times like this.
My paternal grandmother made her own soft laundry soap by saving scraps of Zest bar soap and putting them in a large plastic container made from an empty bleach jug and added hot tap water to it and mixed it together ❤ All her laundry smelled so good!
I lived in Naples for years then moved up the coast to Punta Gorda right above Ft. Myers. I always used to keep a cooler full of water and tea after storms and linemen had to come in. Had a sign to let them know it was for them a small thank you for their time and skill. Any my husband met he would tell you come by our house for home cooked food. never knew how many I'd have to feed but thanks to my canning and prepping I always had enough. Met a lot of really nice people that way. Even some from my home state of South Carolina. Small world
@@anneclark1330 we moved back to South Carolina several years ago. Lucky this time, it took a curve and we got lots of rain and wind but not bad. Not near the coast here.
Tyfs I always love your channel content!💯❤😁👏🏾👏🏾 I love making my own Zote Soap laundry detergent😁 Been making it since 2020 during the pandemic thank God! May God Continue to Bless Yall Always in Jesus Mighty Name Amen and Hallelujah!😁🙏🏾💯❤👏🏾
Ms Lori and Mr. Brown, I have been watching your channel for a long time. I want to thank you for all of the wisdom you put out there. Your recipes and ideas for homesteading are awesome. But what I really enjoy is that you practice what you preach. I try and live simpler because I am not happy with they way things are going. Thank you for sharing your lives with us!!!
I truly love you and Mr Brown from the deepest bottom of my heart. You too have helped me so much and I truly think that Mr Brown is probably the sweetest most wonderful example of what a husband should be the two of you are precious. Thank you for this video I have written it down as I watched it and I will be making my own laundry detergent from your recipe. I'm so thankful for the two of you you make my day everyday.
Love the sparkle in Mr. Browns eyes when he smiles. Lori, you are such a sweetheart. I have truly enjoyed watching your videos these last couple of years. God bless you and your family.
I just picked up my ingredients to make a new batch. To make quick work of it I picked up a old food processor for $5 at the thrift store to grate the soap. A batch lasts me over a year. I use mine dry. But I have soft water.-Sue from MI
You and Mr. Brown are just precious. Mrs. Lori you have the best soothing voice. I enjoy watching y'all so much. So real and down to Earth. The world needs more people like you two that's for sure.
Hi Ms. Lori! Firstly, I'm excited for this recipe, I'm going to do this for myself this week! Second- I am in Florida, please thank Tyler for his bravery and efforts! In our house, we think the Lineman should be included on the First Responders list! We wouldn't be able to be "on grid" without them! Much love to you and your family! ❤️
I'm a proud mother-in-law to a young man who travels to restore power to those who have lost it due to storms like Ian in Florida. His wife is proud of him too and misses him when he is gone.
Please do some research!!! There is a difference between SOAP and DETERGENT. The homemade laundry SOAP builds up on clothes and makes them stiff. Detergent has an additive in it that pulls dirt OUT. Some claim that the SOAP clogged their wash machines.
My grandmother would cherish you. She made lye soap and it ate up your clean, they were clean the thin, that was her homemade detergent. She did the best she could do with 12 growing kids. My Mom was the oldest and I am the oldest grandchild, I am 70 , my Mom passed when she was 89 and I miss my grandmother she had a homemade remedy for everything. I remember boiling water for washing in a black wash pot. She had no running water in the wash house. Yes she had a house to wash in with all those kids she needed that. Remember hanging close on the line and using a stick to hold them up when it got to heavy. Loved those days. Miss my grandmother and mother, they had so many remedies and recipes for that I thank you, because you bring back memories of them both so often. God truly has blessed you and Mr. Brown to bring joy to so many people who lived it, but can’t recall it. For that I say “God Bless You and Mr. Brown “, continue your ministry to everyone 🙏🏽
@jaxmom9043 mayb they were clean but the lye makes clothes wear quickly and thins them out? I seem to remember lye was used a lot but very hard on ur clothes.
Thank you again for another keeper! Thank you and Mr. Brown for sharing all your valuable knowledge of homesteading & example of kindness to the next generations that did have those shining lights in their lives to guide us and teach us these things. Thank you again and God Bless you both with good health and much happiness. 😊
I believe Zote soap is made in Mexico and is pronounced Zoe-Tay (long a sound, like in day)...I've used this soap in various ways...it's a great product. I use liquid laundry detergent, but add this in as well. A little goes a long way and adds a fresh smell to our clothes and sheets...love and blessings...Cindy
My grandmother would sit up outside.I was told that you put in enough soap to turn the water a smokie/blue color. She was born in 1886.she had to make her own.
Hi Miss Lori. I am in Polk County Fl in between Tampa and Orlando. We got hit really hard here. I really appreciate the work that your son is doing here. My power just came on this morning. I have some damage, but my home is livable. Many of my neighbors lost their roofs. Many in my area are still without power. I am hoping against hope that schools open Monday so I can get back to work I am a substitute teacher, so anytime schools are closed I can't work. Really hoping they are open on Monday. Had to throw out most of my refrigerated food. My big freezer was ok. Thank goodness I have been pressure canning most of my meat. Still had to throw away a lot, but not as much as some people had to. I can tell you that I don't think I have ever been so terrified as I was during the storm. It is not something I wish to go through again. But thankfully, I am mostly ok.
I dream of a simpler life and my husband said it sounds wonderful, but when I try to make things simpler, he really pushes back. I could live like this and be happier. They say less is more and I agree. Life has become so distracted with all the "conveniences" and I could honestly do without a lot of them.
Praying for all impacted by the hurricane and your son and everyone that's is working so hard to help so many people in need. God bless them. My heart goes out to everyone🙏❤️
HI THERE! I'M JODENE AND I LOVE WATCHING YOU AND YOUR SHOW AND YOUR HUSBAND IS SUCH A KIND MAN, YOU'RE BLESSED TO HAVE HIM, AND HIM HAVING YOU. I'M SO BLESSED EACH TIME I WATCH YOU ALL. THANKYOU FOR TEACHING ALL OF US OUT HERE THINGS WE COULD USE OR KNOW.
How could anybody not like you and Mr. Brown. Y'all are simply the best. You have blessed me with so many precious memories from my childhood. Thank you for all you do. God bless!
I just came across your channel and I’ve found it very helpful and entertaining. We will try this recipe for laundry detergent. Thank you and may our beloved King bless you all.
Mrs. Lori and Mr. Brown, Thank you for the usable, practical information taught on your channel. I remember seeing some of the old ways as a child with relatives and friends in “the country” where there was no running water- just a hand pump in the house, a wash tub for the kids feet before bed, a “white owl” at night to keep from having to go to the out house, a wood stove in the kitchen, a churn on milking days when butter was needed, and a broom handle by the garden to lift up the pea vines to check for rattlers before we kids picked the peas. Lol. These reminders you present fill in the blanks from my childhood memories that may well come in handy more than we think. Your calm genuine demeanor makes the learning easy paced and effective for learning cooking at my level of needing some basics. You both, in my book, represent what to be an American is all about. It is a spirit, an authenticity, honest and self reliant goodness that is America. To me, America does not exist in governments fraught with corruption, hidden agendas and encroachments on the constitution and founding documents fundamental to freedom. America exists in the hearts of we the people, in simple, caring and genuine intentions of good will and freedom of we the people. Thank you both for being that light. Jb
OxyClean saves any detergent, but keep it as a separate step, the dry powder lasts nearly forever, but once it is dissolved in water the oxy effect starts to deteriorate, sort of used up before it reaches the laundry. Your liquid detergents looks very nice :- )
Miss Lori and Mr. Brown, I just love your channel. You are such beautiful people. Please pray for me, I lost my sweet Mama 4 years ago and I still have my Dad whose 84 and he has lost his sight due to very thick cataracts. We have had 1 eye done but haven't seen much improvement and yesterday I heard him taking to Mama saying he's not use to this. So please pray that the Lord gives me the strength to do everything I can to help him. God Bless you dear friends. Cindy from New York
Thank you for being true and not fake and for letting people know about God I'm so tired of people doing this for money instead of what they should be doing but you lift my spirit everytime I watch you praying for you and your family
Oh Mrs Lori, I feel like I found home with you and Mr. Brown. The Farmgirl just adores you both. I lost my beloved Grammy and miss her so. You are such a light in this world of so much dark. God bless you. Love, Pammi
I love making my laundry detergent and it cleans so well. In these hard times I hope your viewers will try it. The savings is unbelievable. Thank you so much for your video
Thank you for this video! The intro is perfect and I do love watching both you and Mr. Brown dance, LOL My favorite part of your introduction is your words about how you love the Lord. God Bless you both.
That little smile on Pa's face made my day. I wrote this recipoe down as soon as video was over, I will be making this tomorrow, Being retired on a fixed income you take all the short cuts you find. I have been putting the vinegar in my wash now and let me tell you it works! my towels are softer and the smell last so much longer now I can pick up a clean towel a week later and still has the aroma of just being taken out the washer, I do have a washer but not a dryer. I love hanging my clothes out they always seem to smell so much better plus running a dryer can get expensive I don't miss having one at all. I love your channel been watching for years, You both seem like family now. We well everyone here in the coastal plains of North Carolina faired well during Ean Thank the good Lord for watching over us. I do pray for the people in south carolina and florida, we have heard from our family there they are in good health and the storm passed by with no damage praise the Lord for his mercy and grace. Be blessed my dear friend
I just want to say thank you for sharing all you share with us. If it's not recipes from the old school lunch room menu that takes me back to my childhood and all those special memories. It's the recipes like this one that helps us to save money during these days when prices are so high on everything. So like I said before, THANK YOU to you and Mr. Brown for all of the video's that have helped us all so much!! May God Continue To Bless You Both!! 🥰
You're right about the effects of citrus scents! I use a natural orange scented air freshener and it truly lifts my spirits and switches my brain to smiles. Lavender is my next favorite. I use that for organic soap because the commercial brands and body fragrances cause allergic reactions.
I agree regarding people using too much in each load. I think that’s why people don’t like handmade detergent. I really enjoy making my own and I love how it takes care of our fabrics. The savings is almost unbelievable! 😊😊😊
I've been making my own laundry detergent for 6 months now and I love it. I really love the smell and I like the fact that it doesn't have all the extra chemicals and it's much less expensive.
@@UniquelyGeeky I don't use the essential oils. The Felz Naptha has enough scent on its own that I don't feel like it needs any essential oil. I make the liquid version using Felz Naptha, laundry booster and borax only.
@@barbarahunter2323 you use the same amount as you would when you use your regular detergent. I use 3/4 cup for a full load. Just make sure you shake it up or stir it up well before use.
Thank you Lori for showing me how to make my own laundry soap. I bought all of the ingredients. God bless and the good Lord always leads me to good people. Ya'll are good people. We are praying for our friends and family here in Florida.
I just found your channel!! You are so precious. Yes, I love your introduction. I wish I had been homesteading all my life but starting at 68 to learn and put in practice what I can. Thank you for so much vision and encouragement to move forward in the homesteading way. Bless you❤️

OH, HOW SWEET TO HAVE YOUR HUBBY, HELPING YOU GRAD YOUR SOAP. Do take care. Fl.
Mrs Lori, I loved this video. I remember as a very little girl wondering why my Aunts and Grandma were cooking clothes in the back yard? I so appreciate your approach to life, And consider you a very wise and wonderful woman. I think you and Mr Brown have the most beautiful place around. The last couple of years have been rough on all of us. We need to get quiet and reorder our priorities, start being “neighborly” again and be kinder to one another. Love your calming voice and your depth of knowledge. I am a 69 year old Retired RN, and the older I get the more simple I want to be. Growing up, the lunchroom ladies at school were sweet, loving and made sure no child ever left hungry. These ladies were mothers and Grandmothers of our school friends and neighbors. The best food in the world. So as you can see Mrs Lori there is great value in what you do and say. You are a natural teacher. Plus you have a little spunk too. I do quilting and I bet you can do that even. You take care, now. See you back here soon.
Hi, Miss Lori and Mr. Brown! Thank you for the laundry detergent recipe and tips...I am getting in the ingredients to make a batch soon. I believe that Lehman's catalog has a small portable pump-type (plunger-type) clothes washer that might be good to have if the power is out or if you are off-grid. They have several types of indoor clothes drying racks, too.... I always look forward to your videos! You are the "neighbors" that I wish I had, and we share the same values and our Christian faith!
Thank you so much for this recipe! I made my own for a while and my recipe had borax and oxy clean and my husband broke out. Going to try this recipe without those two. Love, love, love your videos! You are so kind and make us all want to come sit on the porch with you and Mr. Brown! ❤️
I want to thank you so much for all the time you take making these videos. I am 42 years old. My husband and I love the Lord above all things, homeschool my sons and love to be self reliant. I milk two goats, have fresh eggs and a big garden. I love canning, cooking, sewing and homemaking. Your channel is wonderful!! I love making your recipes and all the great things you teach! I pray the Lord will bless you always!! Misty
Thank you Ms Lori I am born in South Carolina. I grew up helping mom on the wash board. I remember my great grandmother making lye soap in the big kettle outside on a fire . Thank you love your channel
Hello Miss Lori! Thank you for demonstrating your laundry soap recipe and how you use it. You are blessed with Mr Brown who comes alongside to help, but you already know it. I love your intro and all your content. I always look forward to all your videos. God bless you and your precious family. Please pray for all those who have suffered loss from the hurricane.
I just got some Zote on sale at CVS for .99 I think I got 10 or 12 bars. I’ll be making some as soon as I get the Fels Naptha. Thanks for sharing and please don’t change you Introduction. I’m still praying for all affected and for those brave souls, that are helping. Bless y’all. 😊
I watched your video on washing laundry off grid. I am now doing that. I bought the same washing sink. Love the results. My washer is newer but does a terrible job of cleaning. Thank you for sharing. I have followed you for a while now and get a lot of great ideas from you and Mr Brown. I like the smell of the zote soap. As a side note oxi clean works for cleaning the toilet also. Especially if you have stains.
Hi Ms Lori and Mr Brown from a neighbor over in Mississippi. You seem just like a sweet neighbor I would sit out on the porch with and have a cup of coffee or glass of sweet tea and just visit a spell. Thank you both so much for sharing your lives with us and for being an encouragement and teachers of the old ways. May the Lord bless you both! Praying for all those affected by the hurricane and for the safety of the ones helping 🙏 Love from a sister in Christ ❤
I'm so thankful that you posted this! I misplaced my laundry detergent recipe (the dry one) and I think I'll give your liquid one a try with some essential oils mixed in. You and Mr. Brown are the best 😊❤
Thank you for this. The way the world is right now with the prices. This will help save a little and will be handy when we won't have these items no more👍God Bless You Both💕
Normally, I don't go berserk with commenting on videos but I thought sharing my experience might be a good idea. Walmart doesn't carry Fels-Napha in their stores here and the price for ordering 1 bar was $16.97 plus shipping today. I drove to the Ace Hardware store that was supposed to have it in stock and they've been out since April. I finally broke down and ordered from Amazon: 4 bars for $27.63. The only reason I bought these is, even with the outrageous prices, spread out over 4 years, I will still be saving so much money that it's worth it. I hope your other subscribers who are wanting to try this are having better luck than I did! Thank you so much for everything you share, Miss Lori -- and we LOVE the Lunch Lady Peanut Butter Cookies around here!! They remind me of my own school days and I'm 70 years old! lol
@@WhippoorwillHoller I got the Vote for $1.62 a bar and ordered 4 bars of Fels Napha for $27. And I just love the way it smells!! It will still be a good deal so thanks for sharing this!
I've been making my laundry detergent for years and got lazy, started getting the store bought and seen this video the other day. So, thanks to you I made a 5 gallon bucket and for the life of me can't recall why I thought the store bought was more convenient. This will last me and my husband a long long time, it smells great and much cheaper than the store brands and works just as good without the chemicals. Thanks for reminding me how easy and thrifty it is to make your own.
The people of Pine Island and Matlacha FL are really suffering. Everybody in that region is, but those two islands really hold a special place in our hearts because we've vacationed there on and off, but now many folks there are basically dealing with a prolonged evacuation and displacement situation. There's only one road there from the mainland and it's gone. The historic businesses along the main road are no longer there in Matlacha and most of the homes are damaged in some way or even destroyed. It was a wonderful retreat, with folks opening up their homes to air b+b, etc. Lots of retirees. That community could use prayer, for sure.
I love your channel ❤️ It's always relaxing, and you make it all so interesting and informative. I love how you share your faith, and it blesses me so much. I've tried so many of your recipes and have had great success with them. I really want to try this laundry soap too. I have a friend who has used this type for along time and she loves it. Thank you so much for giving to the Lord, and for your kindness. God bless you and your family
I remember us kids helping Grandma make homemade laundry soap when we were little(I’m 55 now). “Grate” times those were! Much Love to you Ms. Lori and Mr. Brown💐
Dear Miss Lori, I never grow tired of your videos and I am thankful to have come across your channel. As a newbie to pressure canning, you have been a tremendous help, thank you. Your baking, cooking and general knowledge are all wonderful. Don’t change anything you do, including the introduction, that’s what makes it special. Blessings🙏💜
Mrs. Lori, I just happened upon your wonderful channel and immediately subscribed! I am 76 years old and have beautiful memories of my beloved grandparents' farm and how everything was just heavenly to me. Thanks for sharing. Blessings to you both. 💞💞
You remind me so much of my Aunt Anna K. My grandpa was from a very small town in Arkansas, called Hartford. Right between Sugarloaf Mountain and Poteau Mountain. You feel like family! I really look forward to your videos and love every one of them! Thank you for this. This recipe will save a ton of money and it’s so much healthier than all the chemicals! God bless you and Mr. Brown! ❤
I wish I could still smell. Lost my ability to smell in 2020, still hoping it may return, but I bet this recipe would smell amazing! So glad to see you both, you still remain the bright spot in my week. I am so grateful to follow along with your journey/ life story! You are loved by so many, here is a virtual hug!
I hope you get tour sense of smell back. What I thought was maybe there was a soap you used to love the smell of and can remember it. If you used that you would know what your washing smelt like.
I got my smell back. Researched how. All it takes is four essential oils, any brand...eucalyptus, lemon, rose, and cloves. Smell them for 10-15 seconds total twice a day. (Not 10-15 seconds each). It really works!! I couldn't smell and had basically given up!!! You have to do this for a few months, but it's worth it. I bought my friend who couldn't smell anything the same stuff, cured her too. Hope this helps you, and God bless you🙂
@@countrydarlin8212 Thats Interesting. I lost my sense of smell with Covid in 2020, but it came back pretty soon. My husband still has issues off and on.
Chemtrails and geoengineering is causing this syndrome. Please watch Angels Don't Play This HAARP the crap they are spraying in our ionisphere is making people sick. God Bless
Thank you for the recipe for the laundry soap. I've been wanting the recipe and now I have it. Blessings to you and I love you and Mr Brown. You are an inspiration to so many of us.
I make mine too. I use wool balls in dryer and put a little essential oils on them instead of dryer sheets. They are so bad for us. I use Zote ,washing soda and borax for my laundry soap. We love you all too!! Thank you for welcoming us into your home and sharing your lives w/ us. You're so sweet.
Oh no! Please never change your introduction, its just perfect for you guys. QUESTION - How much of your homemade soap would you use for a full size load of cotton baby diapers? Do you think it would need a little more soap to help with the odor, or an additive like the Arm and Hammer booster? We love you guys too very much, and appreciate that you share so much of your lives with us!! God bless. Shirley.
Love to hear the words "cotton baby diapers!" I used to rinse the diapers out as best I could them put them in a bucket that had water and borax in it. The diapers soaked until I had a full load. I dumped the bucket in the washer and sent them through the rinse cycle before washing. The diapers always came out fresh and clean, stain free and bright white. Oh, I used about 1/3 cup borax to a 5 gallon bucket.
I really enjoyed this. Thank you for your tips on being frugal! I’m a school bus driver in Ohio. We do have year round pay, but in the summer it’s only our base pay. So this year I have a goal of trying to save enough money to get through the summer and be able to actually enjoy our summer. Love and prayers to you guys.
Oh bless you Katie! I was a school bus driver in Wa state for 8 years and almost 3 years here in Montana. Wa was best for pay, but here in Western Montana its lousy. The busses are family-owned and they are not employee-friendly! They keep our step-raises and I got 1 30-cent-per-day raise! When another driver discussed it, he said, "Donna, be happy. I've been here for 15 years and this is our first raise!" I've retired since then.
Yes pray for those affected by Ian. Thank you Ms Lori on the video on making laundry detergent. Praying for your son's safety and all the others helping out in Florida and further up the east coast... South Carolina and so forth.
Thank you Miss Lori, I was so excited for this! Sending prayers to those that lost everything from Hurricane Ian as well as all the people that have went down to help Floridians out. So thankful that your son was ok too, bless him-the Lineman, and all others are amazing. Bless everyone! Love your introduction in each video, it takes me home to my roots. Love that you and Mr. Brown are staying true to yourselves. Love, hugs and blessings, Brenda

Small world
Thank you for sharing that wonderful story. You made me smile.
I have family in Punta Gorda!
Hope you're okay after hurricane Ian.
Hope you're doing well after hurricane Ian.
@@anneclark1330 we moved back to South Carolina several years ago. Lucky this time, it took a curve and we got lots of rain and wind but not bad. Not near the coast here.

Well, Miss Lori... you are just hitting every aspect of daily life in your recent videos. You’re amazing.
In either Dollar Tree or Dollar General, Zote soap was quite a bit cheaper than Walmart. It was featured on the program " The List" on ABC.
Hey thanks for this added tip! Appreciate it greatly, God Bless
What is your recipe for the dry.
I use mine dry too.
Thank you. Definitely want to try this. I made the dry before but think I would prefer liquid.
@@hotthreadssd what is your recipe for the dry please? Measurments & ingredients?
I AGREE with you !
linemen and tree trimmers
I totally agree. God bless our lineman.
What do you mean by “she made laundry soap and it ate up your clean, they were clean the thin”?
@jaxmom9043 mayb they were clean but the lye makes clothes wear quickly and thins them out? I seem to remember lye was used a lot but very hard on ur clothes.
Thank you again for another keeper! Thank you and Mr. Brown for sharing all your valuable knowledge of homesteading & example of kindness to the next generations that did have those shining lights in their lives to guide us and teach us these things. Thank you again and God Bless you both with good health and much happiness. 😊
Thank you
Greetings from New Zealand.I love your video's and often watch them in the early hours of the morning as the sun rises.🌷
Actually it’s pronounced zo- te short e like tea in Spanish is te !
@@revecarodriguez709 thanks for the correction 😅
I used to live in Lake Wales. Hope things are going better for you.

Jerry Baker AMEN to everything you said about the Brown's. Wonderful people.
Beautifly said. I agree whole heartily.
OxyClean saves any detergent, but keep it as a separate step, the dry powder lasts nearly forever, but once it is dissolved in water the oxy effect starts to deteriorate, sort of used up before it reaches the laundry.
Your liquid detergents looks very nice :- )
You are correct. She’s clueless.
I use this soap for my laundry, carpet cleaning and it makes my pots pans and silverware sparkle! Saves me so much money.
Miss Lori and Mr. Brown, I just love your channel. You are such beautiful people. That little smile on Pa's face made my day. I wrote this recipoe down as soon as video was over, I will be making this tomorrow, Being retired on a fixed income you take all the short cuts you find. You're right about the effects of citrus scents! I use a natural orange scented air freshener and it truly lifts my spirits and switches my brain to smiles. Lavender is my next favorite. I use that for organic soap because the commercial brands and body fragrances cause allergic reactions.

Lynda, do you make the dry or the liquid version? Do you add an essential oil? If so, which brand and scent and how much?
Mrs. Lori used a cup before it thickened . How much do you use after it thickened?

They have several types of indoor clothes drying racks, too.... I always look forward to your videos! You are the "neighbors" that I wish I had, and we share the same values and our Christian faith!

They remind me of my own school days and I'm 70 years old! lol

Is there a store that I can get Fells-Naptha? I've never heard of it and don't know what it is.
Thanks.
It’s cheap because it’s just a bucket of watered down soapy water.
