Ingredients:
4 lamb shanks
Salt and pepper to taste
Some @getgraza oil 😉
1 large white onion
2 Tbsp tomato paste
3-5 cardamom pods
5 all spice berries
1/2 cinnamon stick
1 tsp black peppercorns
1 tsp cloves
1 bay leaf
2 cups rice
1.5 cups stock
1.5 cups water

Totally get just the onion. One of my grandmothers makes this boiled chicken which she seasons with just salt, pepper and onions. I remember thinking, "She's joking, who makes chicken like that," the first time I saw the dish, tried it and it slapped so hard I had two servings, and this was around the time I was a picky eater.

My parents almost make this exact recipe but they also make sure to cook the lamb in the basmati rice at the end so it can absorb the flavors. But yeah lamb biriyani is also my favorite dish, just don't know how to make it lol

Wow, I love this so much! I definitely have to try this dish. Question. Have you ever tried making it with Kali Elaichi aka Black Cardamom instead. It has a smoky taste to it, and goes really well with meat dishes like this. I think you would love it. 🥰
I didn't even know Kali Elaichi exists lol. I'm gonna have to suggest it to my mum next time she makes biryani or something.
