I am Libyan by origin, born and raised in my younger years. I then moved with my family to the UK, and been learning cuisines since I was 15 years old. Jump forward now, almost 18 years, I have travelled all over Europe to find the best way to see fusion on Arabic cuisine. I can count the places that are worthy on my hands. And, here's the shocker, worthy to who? Simple, a traditional mother cooking at home for her family in Morocco. I spent 1.3 years going back and forth just to learn Moroccan cuisine, and I can attest wholeheartedly, it is magical. My personal favourite is Lahm bil barqook. I have so many expensive equipment and chef gear in my kitchen and for work, and the only thing I value is a traditional hand made tagine clay cooker that I bought from Marrakech back in 2011. I still have it till this day and protect it like it's a treasure. ❤ 🇲🇦🇱🇾 Also, may Allah protect you brothers and sisters during this horrific natural disaster. I pray for you.

Just a note, tagine is original Moroccan Amazigh pot but the recipe you talk about, tagine with barqoq is originally from fes.

I am glad he showing the Moroccan way of roasting lamb. People think the more spices the more flavor. When you have good quality ingredients, less is more. Spices and condiments just bury the natural flavors.
Just be careful, the outskirts of Marrakesh are super dangerous, also go places supervised at all times. ISIS sympathizers all over place. The inner city is just fine.
The Marrakesh grill is distinct in its taste from the rest of the authentic Moroccan tastes, due to their use of natural herbs and spices such as curcum , cinnamon, Cuman and pure saffran.. which adds a delicious taste to the meal.
After I watched Kitchen Nightmares for over an hour, I'm glad I found this in my recommendations and I finally sit back and have a good time while watching this trio have some good food

that's too much. 800dhs is around 70£ /80$. that can easily just cost around 70 to 100dhs which is just 10$. These guys in Marrakesh will buff the prices as soon as they realise you are a tourist.. which is shameful for us moroccans.. normally we sre known to be hospital and friendly.. people like him just set a bad image for is.
I visited Morocco in 2020 and went to the city of Marrakesh and had a tour guide with me. He told me that if you do not eat with the king's cook, it is as if you did not eat anything in Morocco. I asked him to take me there. I knew the place and entered the oven. It is a deep oven in the ground, containing approximately ten rams of sheep. . We ate and it was so delicious that I never forget it when I think of the name Marrakesh

It makes sense seeing that Malta was once conquered by the Arabs . In having said that ,we have cities called Medina , Zebbug , Rabat ,Safi , which are also places in Morocco.
