He’s a very good teacher with children: he allows them to be hands on, explains clearly, patient and asks appropriate questions (I love how he has them smell the spices and asks them what it is) most parents when cooking wouldn’t have the patience or time to teach

Its so nice to see father and daughter like this. I've started showing my three year old daughter the basics of cooking and she loves it. It should be taught more in schools, it teaches measuring, timing, teamwork and discipline.
The way he sounds so calmed when cooking with the fam makes me think that Gordon Ramsay is going to become the Bob Ross of the culinary world in his later years.
For some reason i imagine Bob Ross as a chef. "Ok lets put these happy little onions in the pan.. too much olive oil? Thats ok, its a happy accident that will make the food better."

The videos you make with your children actually brings me to tears with not only how gentle you are with them while teaching them cooking techniques, but I’m so amazed at their knowledge of different spices and herbs just by smelling them. I love watching the videos he does with his kids, bc it truly shows the real Gordon Ramsay. The good man on the inside of the hardened, scary shell on the outside you see in Restaurant Nightmares and Hotel Hell. It comes out sometimes in those shows - but is on full display when he does these videos. I was scared of him before I started watching his content - but grew to absolutely love the man. Probably wouldn't have the patience to teach me, but I wish I had the opportunity to learn from a man like him someday to become a better cook. :)

i love the idea of putting the mustard in the dumplings. i ferment my own mustard, and sometimes when i make beef or pork stew i like to fill my bowl with the stew, then top it with a little scoop of the mustard. the acidity of the mustard cuts the richness of the stew and helps kind of elevate it. but putting it just in the dumplings would keep the stew super rich, and then when you eat one of the dumplings it would be a nice change in flavor that would work kind of like a break from the richness. almost like a pallet cleanser, so you can really enjoy the next couple bites of stew.
cooking is just like any other skill. it doesn't matter how often you do it, or how good you are at it, it's always a good idea to watch and learn from others.
