- In today's video, we made the perfect Beef Wellington! We begin by creating our flavorful mushroom duxelle. We then sear a beautiful chateaubriand, which is the cut of meat used for Beef Wellington. We opted for beef bacon to layer with the duxelle instead of prosciutto. We then encase everything in store-bought puff pastry, seal the edges with egg wash, and bake until golden brown. The end result is a perfectly cooked Beef Wellington with a crispy, golden crust. Ramadan Kareem and hope to make more delicious recipes this Ramadan ❤️

I can't eat pork because of the high salt content. Jaime Oliver makes a Beef Wellington with a thin layer of finely chopped spinach (in the form of a pancake) to take the place of the parma ham/prosciutto ham. I haven't tried it yet, but I bet it works like a charm. You just have to make sure all the water is out of the spinach so it doesn't make the puff pastry soggy.
The proshutto is there as a layer of salty flavor. The truth is, any form of salty meat, or in your case non-pork salty meat, will work.

***You didn't mention A VERY IMPORTANT STEP...
Use your knife to make a few stab marks across the top of the puff pastry or steam (fluid) will build up inside it while cooking. If you don't make stabs across the top, you will lose the whole bottom of the puff pastry; due to the steam making it mushy & IT WILL fall off into your pan.
As an FYI, I make Beef Wellington at least once per month.
The food you make is amazing. You are easily the best chef on yt. Just work on the production of ur vids. Like get rid of the echo use 1080p60fps cameras.

Habibi you have to understand mushrooms. There are too many types of mushrooms so don't judge them all as one :)
Wallah once you understand them, you'll use them everywhere and make them stars of your dishes. I played tricks on my girls to get them to love mushrooms and the relationship went from hate to love.
