It's true. People don't give him a chance or actually listen to what he has to say, which if they did might save many of them a lot of pain and suffering throughout their lives because *no one* else talks about personal responsibility. If you don't learn it from your parents then man you are really fucked.

111Buckethead while I don’t want to blame teachers too much I think they should at least try and make teaching engaging and interesting for students even if the topic may be boring. There were plenty of examples in my school where the teachers were bored to teach a topic and that would make every student in the class not want to take part in the learning.

It's a really good message. Woman (good women) want a man who is competent which can be confused with confidence. Competency is much more and is a true confidence without the messy overuse of Ego. You attract people based on your competency. Cleaning the room is not about being organized it's about taking CONTROL of your surroundings. Great message, far from easy but it's a pattern of behavior just like bad patterns of behavior.

12 years ago, in the midst of a period of confusion, I decided to write down on paper what my real wants and desires in life were rather that having a mass of jumbled up expectations that were mostly unfulfilled and still in my head. I looked at that paper on most days and realized just how powerfully it confirmed that I now had a real direction.
As Jordan say's, the world really did seem to 'reconfigure itself', not in an immediately obvious way, but opportunities and choices became clearer and easier to make along with the realization that I'd been going in a direction that was not right for me. The key for me is staying true to what you truly want from life and being truthful to yourself.

I think it was the quote from 9:40. If you view women (or whomever you’re pursing) as a means to an end, your conversation will depict it. If you see women as a means to getting laid or getting a romantic partner, you aren’t creating “mutual satisfaction”. You need to realize that a girlfriend or boyfriend is not a goal or objective, it’s a commitment. You must have a “mutual willingness to be in contact” and seek “reciprocal communication” or the other person will realize you don’t see them as an equal.

    • @xd4ve
      @xd4ve 4 роки тому

I don’t think he was drawing such a direct conclusion. It was more about whether you fix the things that bother you and build an organized structure in your life that you’re happy with. The level of detail to which you can choose to organize your room can be defined by an infinite amount of different inconsequential things, so it’s just a matter of finding the point to which you start to feel satisfied with it or the process would be never ending. This is why he starts branching into the importance of defining life goals and aims after that.

I have C-PTSD, major depressive disorder, and acute general anxiety disorder.
When I am in a HUGE depression wave my house shows it. But then I try to fight it after a few days by saying "well, I can clean the dishes and the kitchen today. Then tomorrow I can clean the living room."
But, usually, once I start cleaning I cannot stop until the whole house is completely clean (military inspection ready; I am prior military). But very seldomly I do only clean bit-by-bit. After I clean, no matter which way, I feel like I can breathe again. I can actually relax and feel a sense of accomplishment and self-respect and dignity.
Your enviroment affects you just as much as you affect your enviroment.
I am turning 26 this year and it has applied since I was a teenager.

Sometimes giving up the chase will get you further. This applies to both genders really, it's hard to deal with emotionally dependent people, especially if they have a crush on you. Reflect on yourself, if you're a guy, imagine if a girl you don't want to date keeps on wanting to date you. You probably are viewed in same light by the person you are trying to impress.

    Boy, he nails it.
This is why having ADHD is absolutely no fun. Yeah, you might be able come up with jokes easily, free-forming off the words and actions of those around you. But the inside "game" of the person with a.d.d., let alone a.d.h.d. is continuous stress, and lots of frustration and depression.

No . ADHD is Attention Deficit Hyper Domination. Learn to utilise it for your benefit. I did and it has benefited me to a great extent. The worst thing is to get set back by your fear of the unknown, most fear is the product of an over active imagination. That being said, the worst prison to live in is fear. The reason is that most of the walls are a product of your imagination. Remember this. The things in life you regret most are the risks you didn't take. Take it for what you will, you don't know me from Adam.

You know what i appreciate about Dr. Jordon the most, and that is direct derive from this 15 min piece, is the fact that he fills in the mozaik of what I've come to understand through my experience of life while indicating at each point that there is so much more to this and its so much more complex yet simple at the same time.

All men should have the following;-
Attitude:- how you respond to the contrast surrounding you.
    Self awareness:- who are you?
Optmistic view:- focus on good quality
Money; you can save a life or buying or repairing life.

Right as he was talking about whether cleaning your living space is really cleaning up your mind, i was literally about to put a basket of clean clothes on the ground instead of putting it away. I realized that I put a smidge more chaos in my life with every out of place thing.
Really changed my thinking. I don't agree with JP 100% on everything but I do believe he has kind intentions for us all, and wants to help people.

I suddenly realised watching this - whilst I am productive - I procrastinate. By helping others. It’s easy to help others. ‘Here are the resources’ and if they fail, That’s their fault. Whereas. If I used those resources my self … where would I be? What could I achieve? But then I might fail. Which is my fault.
I need to help myself. I may fail. But that is a lesson. There is a ‘me’ that needs help. To begin growing again
