My girlfriend broke with me 10 weeks ago. Doing the workbooks since them. I am in No contact since then, she reaches out 4-5 times per week. We met once and she cried a lot but didn't want to come back. I think she misses me but she is also doing her best to move on. Most of the time I am ok with this, I am even dating others, but every now and then I am really sad. I am really losing hope and I will have to move on, it's very sad because she is my soulmate, 9 years relationship and knowing each other since we were kids. This is so sad.

I have to listen to these regularly to resist the temptation to reach out to my ex, not to beg him to come back but just to say hi. Seems innocent enough right? But it’s still contact that will let him know I’m thinking of him and may push him back a few steps. So I’ve taken to writing him messages in my journal so I’m expressing what I want to tell him, getting it off my chest and staying in no contact. Still super hard but gives me some relief and maintains my dignity and integrity.
I think people get stuck on NC videos because they are literally the only thing keeping them from breaking no contact.

No contact works!!!!! After 4 months he reached out. We are taking things slowly. I have been working on my self(anxious attachment) by watching, listening, and processing the info in your videos. I also did the work books. I have read 5 books on attachment. My anxiety has been inproving. I have a long way to go. But he already noticed the difference in my behaviour. I absolutely agree with these ideas and I tested them on my ex partners. Reaching out is contra productive and gets you nowhere. Walking away with no contact gets attention and does position you for the winning position. I was dating a very avoiding person. After 4.5 month he contacted me and at his best behavior - not sure where it goes but I agree that no contact is the best strategy!

Well, we are now separated again and getting divorced, but I am stronger than I was then, AND I"M the one that left this time. It is much different. Interesting stuff. I grew up without a father and im guessing that must be why i feel so much anxiety in regards to break ups. Im just recalling old feelings.
Break up was back in February. Man I thought I couldn’t get thru it and no contact was impossible. Stalker her socials for days on end. Got jealous of her new man posts. Then I started focusing on myself and things that make me happy and I couldn’t be more proud. I could care less what she’s up to and if she ever reaches out…she’ll get a “no thanks, that doors closed “ reply. Point is…trust no contact. It works!

Dude, i know it is going to be the hardest thing but just cut contact permanently. Exactly what you said "leash". Don't demean yourself. You are a back up, is that what you want to be the rest of your life?
I know you still want to react to them. But itll not help you get them back (if u want them back) when you react to the breadcrumbing. Give it time and space of no contact until they say a sensible word positions you to be the bigger person. Youll see that their words will change. When they feel your absence fpr a long while, their mindset and their view of you will change. this theyll reivaluate their decision and realize that they should not play mind games or ego tripping ways on you.

I absolutely LOVE this one. I am a fairly new listener of your program. It has helped me so so much. Each and everyone of you have a special way about yourselves. I lost my significant other 3 year's ago in a motorcycle accident. He the love of my life. At my age 57 it's hard to start dating again. Long story short one of his friends asked me out. Knowing him for 20 year's I thought perfect. Well... Do you really know someone like you think you do ? Now I broke up with him for many reasons. This has been both of us back & forth a few times. It will be 2 weeks tomorrow since the break up, I am so devastated it hurts so bad. However, I’m not going to make contact. I really love this person and I do feel he will forget about me. We were in a long distance relationship for over 8 months. Never met in person, but talked 3 or 4 times a day and FaceTime as well. I feel so empty and tired. Thank you for your video they have made a Hugh difference. I’m a senior just wanted to throw that in in my sixties and so is he.

Please, please, please.....you have to work on yourself. The Knowledge Workbooks will help you with that. They helped me to understand myself better and to see where I needed to improve in my behaviour. I know that when your person breaks up with you it feels hopeless but it's not. My person has the fantasy girlfriend idea and i didn’t measure up to his ideals. Hard to stop communicating with someone who’s been a part of your life for so long but then I remind myself of all the ways he told me I didn’t measure up. Hurts but easier to stay away then.
Similar situation here. Even got told to loose weight & dye my hair blond to be more appealing to meet his mold.

I enjoy your videos. Figured out I was dating a DA about a month ago, because I had no idea what was going on with us. Hot/cold. Push/pull. And I’m a secure attached and didn’t force or push things. However last week, I sat her down and said I think it’s about time we consider if we are going to lean into this thing of ours or not. I didn’t get much reassurance on her part, and I kinda took my answer from that. Haven’t spoken in 3 days. I CANNOT contact her for that anxiety settling because I know it will only be in the moment. Time to let go and see if she decides to match my energy or I have my answer - one way or the other. Thanks guys.

My gf and I are both avoidants. We've experienced a lot together. There's a lot of passion between us. I'm not ready to give up on us. I don't think she is either. I'm revisiting the things I've said to her. I hope she's doing this same.
The big issue I got through was my drinking & Rx meds. I've been clean and sober for 9 months now. It's one of the best decisions I've ever made. I'm more calm, not so prone to mood swings and periods of depression, not as moody. All that is short lived now and still getting better by the day. I eat well, exercise daily and read more. Things are really good. My gf has noticed it too.
I wish I'd have found these videos sooner Coach Craig. I believe it's too late for redemption now though.

@@julieloftin7308 I don't want to but I made too many mistakes and my brother is friends with her for 6 years. He told her I got drunk on Christmas and that I didn't need to be around her children. Even though I'm a great father to my own. He doesn't really know who I am because I only see him twice a year for a few days at a time.

I laughed at the LD plus avoidant comment!! That is exactly my situation and the reason we broke up. LD, and she did not want to deal with the minor issues we had when we came back. But during LD she got close to someone else and therefore, classic grass is greener syndrome. Doubt she will come back, but NC is helping me realise im better than this... Thanks for all your videos, they really help me!

@@t.6071 okay, so long story tried to cut short! Well I went full NC and didn’t message, call or anything the day after she left… the messages the day after BU were just to clarify the money she owed and when it would be paid, then to say goodbye! I didn’t beg or plead for her back and let her have the BU…
Around 6 weeks after it was her birthday and even though it was tough I completely ignored it and didn’t message. Two days after that she messaged me, initially to say she had returned the money owed (a month earlier than expected), which I replied saying thank you!
She then said ‘how are you?’ And thus a conversation began in which she said she was really upset I didn’t message on her bday, that it made her realise I was truly gone and always expected me to message her at some point in my own time! That me not messaging was a clear sign that I wasn’t interested and was okay (of course I felt like I was dying for most that NC period 😅).
In those messages she said some weird things about ‘accidentally’ meeting in a years time at an event I was going to, and stuff about seeing where we were at that time! So I said I think we need to meet to discuss what that means! We met a few days later and she confessed she’s still in love with me, that the birthday made her realise it was serious and she was worried she had lost me, that she couldn’t cope and cracked, so messaged me! She said the idea of it becoming truly a real relationship scared her, so she ran away (we were LD a lot due to her studying in different cities, and this would be the first time in 2 years we’d be in the same area)…
A few weeks after we met again for a longer period and discussed how we move forward! We both agreed we need time to heal from the issues we had and focus on ourselves, we are both busy with work/careers (part of the reason she ran away) but we have feelings for each other that need to be acted on one day! So we have decided to see each other every few weeks to catch up, spend some time together and discuss how we feel at that stage! Whether it will work we don’t know, but getting back together would have only made the issues we had return! So we’re going for the method of let the universe decide for us, or if you love something, let it go, if it loves you it will come back! And she did, so I’m trusting those feelings won’t fade with the distance between meets!
Sorry that’s a long story but I hope it gives you hope if you’re going through a similar situation. I had no hope whatsoever and told myself she left me for someone else. Which turned out to be false and she left because she was scared of commitment…

Mine went cold and blocked me.. even if she hasn’t forgot me (she might as well have) the pain is equally intense.
And if she is avoidant., i think my suggestions of a future together scared her off - even though she spoke about it herself a fair bit previously. (Marriage / growing old together / places we would be going)

What if her first contact after 8 weeks was to take her daughters to cheer practice because she had to work late and couldn’t get them there? I did, I texted her that we went to the park after and sent her photos of the kids after they asked me to. No real conversation other than a thank you. I nodded and just left, serious anxiety, didn’t know what to say…no contact or response since last Thursday night.
A testimonial… I got broken up with and then contacted my ex about every two months…. Crickets. Finally on a New Year’s Eve I buckled down and 8 months later she sent me the “ Good reminder text”.

My ex has moved on with his new woman he moved out his place and moved in with her he has also told me he is buying a house with her he told me they met October 2021 they are still together we separated July 2021 but continued to see eachother up until October of 2021 when I discovered the new woman he never mentioned while still seeing me they was coming out of his apartment it was then he outed her as his woman saying he just met her trying to introduce her to are kids and his family fast forward im no longer talking to him he actually is building a new life with this woman and pretty much disregard his children im no longer in contact he is blocked on every thing we only communicate through court im simply letting him be happy and live in peace things he always said i didn't do for him

At times they will turn cold and push you away so they can try to have zero guilt when they do go cheat. But the guilt will not stay away. Especially 2 days after the fantasy relationship didn't go as planned. Stick with no contact.
I like the no contact vids but honestly I've always looks at it as "I'm done" it makes it so much easier to ignore the person, I mean let's face it they are your ex for 1 reason or another. I've got a situation that needs advice. So, she took my hoodie and other things with her the night before driving back to Chicago. She ended it the following night when she got home on October 4 after I called to see if she got home safe that evening. I haven't spoken to her since that night...but she told me she would send all of the things back to me. It's now November 16. Uh...do I break no contact to get my things back? Inasmuch as I would like to rekindle that, especially through no contact and time, a part of me wants my stuff back! She's got a hoodie that has all of my family's album covers on it (and my last name). I don't know what to do in this regard as I am her long-distance (Nashville-Chicago) rebound. She is a year separated but still finalizing a divorce with another by December. 🙄 What a mess I've gotten myself into with a woman that has a doctorate in psychology. 🤦♀️ She's cognizant of attachment...she made note of being anxious, if not, a fearful avoidant.
At first I used to get so upset thinking about my ex doing things for his new gf that he never used to do for me. I used to feel so angry and jealous and upset. Now, 8 months after our breakup, I’m actually hoping that he’s still doing those things because if he ever comes back, I don’t want him to be the same person he was when we were together. I want him to be better. Just as I want to be a better partner as well. But if he doesn’t come back, I know that I will still be fine and that I will still be a better partner than I was when I was with him. Not sure if that makes sense.

Could you do a video on how to date a married man who goes through seperation/divorce? Like do's and don'ts to prevent being a rebound?
Do not date him! He will tell you everything he knows you will want to hear “I’m ready, I’m over it, I’m done with my ex, etc.” He might feel that way in the very moment he meets you but he needs time to grieve his marriage. I’m telling you...do not date him until he’s been separated or divorced for at least a year. You will be a rebound no matter how wonderful or amazing you are. He’s not in a mental state of mind to make long term decisions because he doesn’t truly know how he’s gonna feel in a month or two months. Please take my advice. He can fall for you, he can care about you, but he WILL NOT ATTACH to you. You will though and when he ends it, it will be devastating.
The only way to prevent being a rebound is to let him come back to you when he’s done rebounding. This could take at least a year but it’s better than getting your heart broken. And this is especially true if he didn’t want his marriage to end or he was cheated on. Those guys are gonna rebound HARD. But If he left his marriage or he was the one who wanted to leave then it will take less time cause his grieving process will take less time. Maybe 6 months.

What if you feel like there are things you should apologize for? Harsh words during the final argument, for example.

I just wanna say a couple of things
1. No contact doesn't always work even if u follow all the instructions ( no begging no pleading no contact .. etc) i did all of this for +6 months now and he never reached out
2. I believe its important to set a realistic target for NC. If ur partner did not reach out in a period = or less than half of the total length of ur relationship than most likely its really over
I love ur channel coaches n learning alot however a more realistic picture needs to be portrayed to avoid more disappointment on dumpees 🙏

6 months is not a lot of time for your ex to go through the different stages of a break up. It feels different for them than it feels for you. Don't give up on personal growth and focus on you, He will eventually reach out.

I left the house the 3 weeks ago. We broke up 3 weeks before that.
The cause of the breakup was my insecure personality and not achieving goals.
I did the whole pleading etc like normally people do.
We have two daughters , which one was blaming herself of this. The other was diagnosed with learning difficulties, which I'm hoping its not autism. This did not help me because I was really worried about her and the relationship.

It's funny. I am watching way too many of these types of videos right now (like a lot of people), and they all mention this fear of "they will forget about me" which does nothing but make me laugh. There is a 0% chance that I will be forgotten, or that I will ever forget about her.

I just don't understand him. My avoidant ex reached out after 4,5 months of No contact. He called out of the blue and wanted to start talking again. I talked to him for a few minutes and thought to hear from him again. But then nothing. This was 4,5 months ago, in total now 9 months...he still holds on to stuff i had at his place. Is this holding the object? I don't want to reach out because of that but accidently called him once and no call in return, so I don't think he wants full closure....) Any ideas anyone?
