Hi mate, I have a 2018 i30 hatch N-line, i'm just waiting on my map spacer and fuse link from Cherry Tuning 🍒 ...I just have some questions: - I'm using a saas mechanical gauge with vacuum... muscle series...it says 1 wire to ground, 1 to illumination and 1 to battery?? Ground makes sense, but am I right to think the battery/power wire would go to the fusebox and the illumination to the panel like you did with blue wire? - do i need both illumination and power wire? - and which fuse did you use in the fusebox? Couldn't see in video. Thanks from Adelaide
You don't need the illumination wire, usually they're used to dim the gauge when the headlights are turned on. You can use any of the "spare" fuses, there are several - the right side of the fuse panel is switched power, the left side is constant 12V - just pick a spare on the right side and that should work for you.
When bypassing the solenoid do you just put a cap on where the bov line usually sits? also is the difference noticeable? i want to do the same thing. great work btw !
Tristan love your install on the boost gauge very clean and neat too :) exactly what I want
Nice work mate

Nice video
Keep up the great work!
Hey Tristan, how easy is that top aircon vent to take off? I’ve tried unclipping it but it’s locked. Is there a screw holding it down?

Would this work for the American 2019 Elantra Sport 1.6T
Where do I order the guage holder from? 🥺
Why didn’t you just wire the gauge to an accessory wire so it’s only powered on with the key in ignition?
It has 2 wires, one for permanent power, and one for accessories. If you don't give it permanent power then it doesn't retain it's internal memory.
Not a quick one......
They dont sell this in Korea. So it shouldnt be KDM maybe? Haha
