Scotty, I just checked out THE GREATEST CAR EVER dot come. Who knows if this is a movie or documentary? Tesla???
Man Scotty when I saw all that Charcoal in the trunk I was near certain it was a Ford since most of them are still Coal powered 😎🏭🔥
When is Toyota going to drop the ugly front ends. Makes me think of a feeding bass fish
I thought you were dead.
That looks like a disappointing Tundra. Turbos and that bad of gas mileage? I would worry about those turbos too.
I work at a Toyota dealership in Vegas.....wait, don't buy one yet. Give it a few years for them to get all the kinks out. They've had problems with them already. Not only that, but people are stealing catalytic converters off of them!! You don't want that bill, trust me!
My buddy at work got some issues, seats cracking and just had both his turbos replaced , the truck is only a month old with 400 miles
An even better idea, buy a newer 2nd gen
@@cessealbeach that doesn't surprise me!! Every manufacturer seems to be making things cheaper and charging more $$ for their vehicles, even Toyota now
@@David-ys4xb I agree!! Naturally aspirated V8. Those 5.7's are good engines
This Truck is so bad. People are in denial because its a Toyota.
When found out that Toyota was not going to make any more V8 engines, in December of 2020, I bought a 21' 1794 tundra. It was also my retirement gift to myself. I seriously believe my 21' will outlast the 22's, just my opinion... Best of luck
It will. For sure. That v8 and tired and true 6Speed Aisin automatic will last till the second coming.
Not the real Price?????
Doubt it very much Scotty
And I just got a 19 Limited!
my 04 is my retirement gift but I retire at 47. Thing is a rock
The whole rear window going down is - for me - way better than a sunroof and is one of my favorite features. I live in Florida and there’s nothing like having that down in January in Florida. Glorious.
I have both on my 13 Tundra Ltd. I love to open everything and go down the highway blasting my music! 😂
plus if you have a really stinky fart, the cabin clears out quickly. haha.
No way, given a choice, I'll take the F150 panoramic roof any day.
@@cwqrpportable the new tundras also have the option for a panoramic moon roof, this owner just didn’t get that feature.
@@nicholastonella5460 Yes, but the new Tundras are butt ugly and they've just had too many issues........don't like or trust them. Better options out there.
My 2008 5.7 just hit 183K miles.
I've changed the brakes and plugs once, the alternator and starter. And a couple sets of tires.
Still runs smooth. Sad they retired the 5.7. It's bulletproof.
You need a gas station just to drive the 5.7 V8.
@@ROFLWAFFLE1911 Like many people now, I work from home. Maybe fill up every 6-8 weeks. Also discount on the insurance for the low driving. All good.
@@jcnunny so it's good if you don't drive much? It gets like 10 mpg 😂🤣
@@sigm4003 I get about 14. If I wanted a Prius I would get one. I use my truck as a truck. And I love it.
Just breaking it in
What I hate the most about new Tundra is I don't have one in my garage 😁
It would have been fun to see what the take rate would be if Toyota also offered the option of an updated 5.7 V8 in addition to the two 3.5 turbo options.
or even a 5.7 with a 10 speed transmission
So glad I bought the V8 in 2020... Plenty of power and I average 15-16 mpg in mine.
Love my 2020 without all the fancy bull$&*%.
My 06 4.7 still the best engine.17 mpg in town 23 mpg on the highway.
@@marks.c4753 I miss my 2014 4.7 more than anything!!
And the engine will probably have a longer life too.
@@ryanm4013 What did you do? Roll it?
I just bought a 23 Tundra 1794 and love it. Right now I'm getting 19.4 using the Eco mode. I drive 45 miles each way to and from work. A combination of highway driving and FM Roads around 60 mph. I haven't pulled my bass boat yet but expecting the mileage to drop 4 or 5 mpg when I do.
My mileage gradually improved after 1000 miles. I’m currently getting 19 mpg in suburban travel and 22 on highway trips. I’m at 10,000 miles and very happy with the purchase. I just took a 1000 mile road trip and I’ve never been more comfortable on a long drive.
Bruh. My 2004 alfa romeo 166 uses 4-5 liter/100km thats around 62mpg. Whats up with newer cars using so much fuel

Scotty I just picked up a 2000 Tundra with 276k miles for $1500. The timing belt had gone out and was replaced by the owner, but he did it incorrectly.
I aligned the timing marks on the cams and she runs like a dream. I can't imagine spending $65k on a truck at all!
Now you know why so many complaints of not having a V8. We never wanted a V6 TT in a truck. Only V6 TT should be in a Tacoma and even then it's an unreliable powerplant. New meaning to the term TRD. (Turd)
The auto industry doesn't make cars for its customers, it makes them for its shareholders and the Government.
The engine used in the new Tundra comes from the Lexus LS500. Toyota tuned the engine for heavy used. Toyota has supplier issued which causing issued like waste gate failure.
@@briangreen430 Toyota doesn’t get along with the us govt. they often speak out against them.
It's always been Turd to me. Miss my 96 Supra 🥲
@@kevinlim2049 lol a V6 is just a bad idea for a full truck ask ford lol
You need low end torque and a turbo engine have none it only good if you never tow or use the bed =you got it to flash but nobody care
Scotty you’re right about the city dealers . I just bought a honda navi in Conroe for 2664$ otd. No dealer in Houston would sell one for under 3k.
Gullo Ford in Conroe seems to be reasonable also buckalew Chevrolet
I live in Conroe btw
I've found the same. I live in Atascocita and my family and I have been to Tomball Ford 3 times and they have always been fantastic.
My local dealer OTD price was $3,300 for a Navi :( and they wouldn't budge at all.

As die hard Toyota guy who drove the old 2x4 pick ups, tacos and now a 19 tundra I can’t believe how bad they missed the mark on these new tundras. I test drove one and was so disappointed
The gas mileage tends to get better once out of the break-in period. This one is just under 600 miles on the clock. Once it hits about 2k+ miles you should see an improvement to upwards of 18 average. Still not 21, but still better. That said, I still wish there was a V8 option.
My 3.5 EB didn’t start to get 20 mpg until past 5k. Too little miles on Scotty’s tundra to assess.
Still the V8 was like 13 miles
I have 5k on my 23 tundra and I bounce between 20 & 21 mpg
@@ShipMonster nice
I bought a 2021 Tundra in May of last year. I pulled the trigger due in part to the news that Toyota would be moving to a turbo 6 for 2022. Saw lots of videos from Scotty and others about the reliability of the 5.7 V8. Mileage: on the highway I get 18-20 mpg. In town I can get 12-14. Towing a 3400 lb. travel trailer (like pulling a sail down the road) I get 10-11 mpg with tow/haul on and the transmission in S4 per Toyota recommendations. Used to tow the trailer with a 2004 Chevy Express 1500 hi top van , which is now in retirement (only has to pull my canoe/kayak trailer). The Tundra has no problem climbing the Blue Ridge with the trailer - there seems to be plenty in reserve. I intend to keep this truck for at least 10 years, so I didn’t want to mess with the new tech, since I see Tundras and Sequoias everywhere here in NC and some of them are really old.
fellow tundra owner, it has 140k miles and gets about the same mileage as you describe, we average 15. when we used to have a 8500lb camper, going on a 4 hr trip through mild mountains in the poconos, we got about 5-8 mpg
Cap’n America Look closely at the truck tho, it’s lifted and has meatier tires thus reduces mpg
I just came back from Canada to NJ on my 2018 sequoia and I was averaging 18 per gallon. That V8 is so smooth and the 6 speed trans shifts smooth. I’m glad I made that purchase. In about 10’years I’ll see how things are with the new sequoia then!!
Wow you must have a special Toyota. My 2020 gets a max of 15 on highway. My friend has a ram 1500 with vvt engine which kicks down to 4 cylinders on highway. Gets 18 on highway.
That’s exactly the same mileage I get with my 2018. 13-14 city, 11.5 towing a Skeeter bass boat, and 18-19.5 hwy unloaded.
Can’t believe they got rid of the v8 for a turbo v6 and it gets less than 15. My 6.6 gas 2500 gets 15.3.
In 2025, the EPA will require new trucks to get an average of 55 MPG. Turbos and Hybrids are the way to go. According to IHS Markit, a team of industry analysts and industry specialists, the use of turbos will increase significantly between now and 2025. So for people who insist on a V8 Tundra, now is the time to buy one with low mileage.
@@dtna The EPA is going to be nerfed by the Supreme Court. 2024 will change all of that.
Guys were getting 24 on the highway on UA-cam tests on this version, the non hybrid.this guy must be towing a lot.
@@jamessapnaro6089 exsctly. I get 21 if i do 70. 24 from jersey to GA doing 65-68 mph. I get 16 when I get stupid in the city. You know what I mean. I got 19, lol. 15 is a very bad number, he either tows very heavy stuff or have a heavy foot
@@blinkguy4ever in denial it seem if you need to drive like grandma to get the rated mpg it a joke
Seem your username fit you perfectly
Also on the Taurus, check the inertia switch in the truck, quite often if you hit a hard bump or the car got jarred one way or another it'll trip the inertia switch under the (typically) passenger side wheel well carpet cover (as I said,in the trunk), I've seen it enough times for it to cross my mind when you have a no start situation. It's a little red button/circuit breaker essentially, which cuts off the fuel pump, all you have to do is push the button back down to reset it.
Agree Scotty . Not crazy about no V8 in the new Tundra . Not a fan of twin turbos . I've got a 2002 Tundra . Runs fantastic . I'm 64 yrs old and hoping this will be my last vehicle ever for me. Time will tell . Thx . Keep up the great work. I learn a lot from your experiences .

Here’s what I think it needs a V8
I think it needs a V7.
💯
Should have a upgraded v8 to increase towing capacity this tundra was such a let down
Toyota ditched the v8 while Ford still uses the v8 engines
@@TheSuperBoyProject Actually it's a V6.
Small displacement 4 and 6 cylinder engines which use turbos for their torque ratings typically generate their maximum torque at far higher rev ranges than naturally aspirated engines. You have to get high in the rev range in order for the boost to be noticeable, which is why you don't notice any "grunt" at low revs.
I never got the estimated mpg my Camry was rated for either. Just purchased an Acura Integra Aspec manual and I’ve exceeded what it’s rated for by about 5mpg. Waiting for you to get your hands on one. It’s impressed me in every way. Beautiful car and ever drives better than it looks.
I know mopars aren't very well-loved around here but my challenger r/t stick has been beating EPA estimates for over 10 years. Rated at 21 mpg highway, usually sees 22-23 on hour-long highway rides and not uncommonly 24-25 for longer rides. Still don't know how but I managed 27.3 on one LA-phoenix trip (tail wind, overinflated bald tires, hot evening, less-than-usual passing lane usage, basically every factor in my favor). To have gone over 360 miles and still had over 3/8 of a tank left was mind-bending. Had to re-do the math 5 or 6 times to convince myself.
Agreed! When I bought my car I traveled 3 hours away from the city and got a decent deal a few years ago. Today, my same car still goes for more than what I paid for, here in the city.
I love the new style of the Tundra.
I'm just not interested in this new V6 turbo or EV version, I'd rather have the V8.
Because the EV especially is a scam playing on people's emotions as they surpass all logic. None of this has to do with the environment, only sales. V8 all the way.
If the government doesn't want us to have something it's the FIRST indicator that they have something to gain while we have everything to lose.
I think it looks dumb too lol old tundra looked more masculine new one looks fem boyish
Agree.
I have a 2011 Crewmax w/247k miles I just replaced the plugs like at 240k and went from 13.6 avg to 14.6 avg. I've never been impressed with the mpg but I do know my friends that drive other brands are never truthful about their mpg. I'll take the everyday reliability of the Tundra over any other half ton truck and I've owned all the others.
Am getting 14.8 - 15.6 on my 2017 tundra 4x4 Limited edition w/ sunroof & 38 gal fuel tank. which is the heaviest model that year. I’ll be keeping it for EVER
Thanks Scotty, your videos are always informative. I bought a 2023 Tundra limited. I'd be happy to share with you, my opinion once I get it.
I get 14 MPG around town with my 2009 Laramie with 5.7 Hemi. On the road I get 20 or a little more depending on whether I'm driving in the mountains or at the coast. I'm satisfied.
I just posted the same exact almost spec. I can get 21 on the highway at 75 miles per hour in my 2019 hemi and if I drive it with a light foot I can get 15 around town. very satisfied with that. most of my Ford buddies with their Eco puss don't even get that good economy
Not bad. That's better than my 07 Silverado (16.5 Mpg)

you must drive like an old Lady🤣
The truck only has 500 miles on it, it’s not even broke in. I got mine in December and didn’t start getting good mileage until I hit the thousand mile mark. Just got back from vacation to Clarksville, TN by way of Upper Michigan and I live in Spokane, WA. I started the trip with 19.1 MPG and finished with 19.4. That’s doing 80 mph through, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota and don’t forget the Mountain’s in Montana both ways. I had a first generation Tundra and hated the ride the ride on this new generation is awesome and there is very little road noise. My truck is a limited and it’s a 4 wheel drive and I’ve had no problems with it so far.
I am getting 16 to 17mpg on my 2007 tundra. What I figured is tire pressure, wheel size, summer tires, off-road mud tires and driving quality impact mpg. On mud/off road tires I get around 12-14mpg. On all terrain tires around 16-17mpg. On summer tires 17.5+mpg
When you pay this amount of money for a truck why not do what Ford does? Give the customer the option of buying either the twin turbo or the V8. Why not make both?
Toyota doesnt sell as nany trucks as ford
If given the choice, I would still prefer the V8 if available. I'll bet the difference in gas mileage with the V6 narrows when pulling a load.

Inflation make everything dreams or kick out
How dare you compare GM crap to Toyota😆
The v8 actually gets better gas mileage when towing
Could be wrong, but I think Toyota mainly went to the v6 because of emissions. Same reason why the new Highlander no longer has a v6 and probably the Tacoma and 4runner are going to follow that trend too.
Scott bought mine too months ago and I love it .Hope you do to. One reason I went from Chevy to Toyota was your praise of Toyota.
I think the stock ground clearance decreased over the ones with the V8s.....A big disappointment for me in the snow belt
Toyota should have 2 optional engine for the buyers like Naturally Aspirated V8 or turbocharged V6. 🤷🏻♂️
100 % agree !!
Like Ford, They got the V8, and V6 Twin Turbo
@@cessealbeach
Yep, that’s why I’m sticking with Ford this time for their V8 pick up trucks for my next vehicle.👍
Toyota doesn't produce enough pick -ups to justify the expense of added powertrains and EPA certifications.
Toyota would rather perfect one engine than offer more options each with it's own engineering issues... That's problem with Ford, they keep "making advancements" instead of perfecting their products.

WTF????
Hey Scotty, Scott from Dallas here. I just purchased a 2024 Tundra 4x4 TRD Sport model. I wanted to share a couple things I learned you may not be aware of.
1. If you get an aftermarket device to plug into the OBD port, you can remove the intentional sound they “programmed” into the truck to make it sound beefier.
2. That same device allows you to adjust where the shift points are in addition to some other things. Do you want me to tell you what I’m talking about so you can have your neighbor get one and try it out for a review?
That would be awesome! Thanks for your honest reviews bro!
SHOUTOUT CONROE! Miss you Scotty! My girlfriend and I just bought a brand new 2022 Nissan Versa SR for 26.5k from Keating Nissan. The car had 7 miles when we drove off. Felt good being 21 with a new cute little car. 40 miles to the gallon too

Idk what normal driving is for those with the V8 but i get about 16.5 mpg in my 2007 5.7 and definitely dont baby it. Also my 2007 crewmax the rear window does the same thing. It was a great selling point.

Backup cameras are required by The NTSB now. I think they passed the law in 2018. So you'll notice every 2019 to current model year will have a Backup camera regardless of the make or model. The main reason they did it was to reduce the amount of small children being run over because you can't see them. It's a law now. They have to include one.
Some small children do need to be run over
I’m loving my 2022 Tundra Limited. It tows way better than my ‘17 and ‘21 Tundras and they did well, too. This new ones just a beast!
@@GoogleDoesEvil no I wouldn’t. I work on them, if it isn’t making me money, it’s pointless to have. IMO.
Toyota just gave us a 2022 Tacoma SR5 V6 because there's a recall on the 2012 for the secondary air injection valve.
I said the parts are on back order it could take anywhere from 3 months to 6 months.
The 2022 is a very pretty truck four-wheel drive sweet looking ride
My v8 2021 tundra can consistently get 18-20 hwy and 16 city so there is absolutely no reason to upgrade to the new tundra. I have to say the interior is super nice on that 22 compared to my 21 and also rides a lot smoother. But it’s also much more expensive
How do u get 16 I barely get 10
Scotty I'm a mechanic at a Toyota dealer in Northern Ohio and finally received my 2022 Corolla Hatchback. I LOVE THIS THING, 100% made in Japan and I'm getting between 38-40 mpg going between 65 - 77 mph on the highway. It is my daily driver to work and I'm in love with it. The price was great i got below sticking being an employee our dealer knocks off a little, best of all I was able to finance through Toyota for 2.85% interest for my loan (buying).
Wait! The hatch is made in japan??
@@dyingangelo yes 100% japan, vin begins with J, no north American assembly
I love his videos great knowledge and very educational specially with today's new trucks and cars thank's Scotty
I definetly wanna keep tabs on this truck. Interested to see if I should go Toyota Tundra for my next vehicle
Don’t really need a truck, but I do wish the 5.7 was available. Bump the hp up some to match Ram and Ford. Workout the interior quality. electronic and lighting issues and you’ll have a great truck.
Imagine if Toyota turboed the 5.7 to compete with the trx and raptor 🥹😍🥰
I won’t look at the gas mileage because it’s brand new and it’s still learning how the driver drives so it might go up to about 18 mpg
Right! It had less than 600 miles. The guy is probably still on the first gas tank
Scotty, I just can't let my v8 go. I bought my 2018 tundra new in November 2017. It has 50,000 miles on it now. The new smell is gone but it's still new to me. My 5.7 pulls my 32 ft travel trailer with zero issues at 9.0 mpg
In order to get the full performance hold the traction button in for 3 seconds, 2 orange lights come on, the sport mode and if you are looking for 0-60 turn on 4H.
I was getting like 5.5 seconds to 60
I own a 22 Tundra Limited CrewMax/Off-Road with a 5.5ft bed. This guy must drive like a mad man. I’ve never gotten worse than 16 combined - I’m usually around 18. On long trips I’ve gotten 26mpg when I was really trying, but it’s usually around 22.5. This guy must have a heavy foot and never take it out of sport mode.
It's a brand new truck He's probably been running quarter miles 🤣
He’s pulling that taco trailer … go figured
The owner must have a lead foot. For the last five years I've been getting 15-17 mpg in my 2016 and 2018 Tundras. When towing 7-10k pounds that goes down to eight. To get ten mpg without towing you have to be either punching it, sitting in traffic a lot, or sitting in the car with the engine running while parked,.
I was exited for the new Tundra so much I bought a 2022 Limited 4R. V6 na no more. Sad.
I absolutely love my 4R. Never had one; had 4 Tacoma’s and 1 tundra since 1994-5.
You are loved, Scotty. Mel.
Scotty, my 2011 tundra 5.7 gets 15.3 average and I don't tow. I drive half highway and half city so I honestly dont think the miles per gallon is much different. It's sad they got rid of the v8
Interesting. I have a 2020 Tundra with the V8 and I average 15 MPG in the city. Even not driving conservatively I’ve never dropped below 12 MPG unless I was towing a heavily loaded trailer.
Me too … I bought mine in Oct-2020 as new and get 15 mpg easy. I only have 7,000 miles on it as we switched to work from home.
Scotty quote of the day: "If you wanna drive like a maniac, shift it manually"
How true!
Hi Scotty
Looks really good but hear in the UK I’ve not seen the Toyota Tunda as only see the Toyota Hilux Invincible 2.4 36 mpg 3 lit 40 mpg as I’m looking out for one so was wondering what’s the difference between the two any ideas other than size?
I have a 2001 tundra with over 250000 miles, it has been in a pretty bad accident, so it is prior salvaged. I use it to tow fishing boats and lawn supplies. Sometimes on occasion to move people. It is my dream truck and wish I had the money to restore it. I digress my point being that Toyota makes amazing v8 engines.
Think I'll hold onto my 2013 F150 5.0 a while longer.
“Gear hunting” yeah, too many moving parts for me. I’ll just keep my 14 year old f150 5.4 with 250,000 miles on it. Engine still runs smooth as silk and gets 18.9 mpg
If it breaks, there’s plenty of parts available. If the new Tundra breaks…..good luck..
The secret to getting longevity out of your truck is to use pure synthetic, and change it every 4,000 to 5,000 miles. And keep your foot out of it.
I think the front end on the new tundra is fugly
Did original transmission go out tho?
Yeah rusty grill isn't veto attractive for such a big truck
So you get like 4 mpg more with a 15year old v8 poor Toyota v6 owner lol
Traded my 2006 double cab in with 150,000 miles. Bought it new. Well taken care of. Got the 21 crew max for fear of the V8 discontinued. Love it. The 06 never saw a car lot. Someone swooped it up the next day. No buyers remorse, is trade in remorse a thing? Should have just kept it also. Hope they take care of it
Thank you for this clip! It is informative.
Knowing toyota, those turbos will outlast almost all of the competition while still maintaining similar power of the V8
they will never outlast a V8
This guy should of gotten a diesel
Not true if you do some digging they're disasters. People are too proud to admit that Toyota is messing up big time lately. I own a Toyota.
@@wichaelmeston1492 should've.
It’s got more power than the V8.
4:45 I wish my 2020 corolla had a center console that size, I can barely fit a snack sized candy bar 😂
I’m laughing at today’s mileage numbers. My ‘56’ 210 Chevy with standard three on the tree straight 6 cylinder consistently got 21-24 mpg. Regular ethanol free gasoline cost 25 cents / gal. We now pay more in taxes per gallon….that’s progress?
IIRC the V-8 wasn't always available in the early Tundras. I think there was a meeting between the dealers and Toyota at one time. Toyota North America asked corporate if they planned a V-8. When they responded "No" North America said, "Then you may as well go home."
True. And they need to tell them that again.
I have a 2020 Sequoia with the 5.7, and I get about 13 in town. If I take it out on the interstate and set the cruise control to 80, I get about 20 - 21 MPG. I'm glad I got the 5.7, it will be worth a lot of money for a long time.
Updated V-8 with a ten speed auto would have been alot more appealing to the gear heads like me.
If you're a grear head, 3 speed should be plenty enough
@@Dranreb865 nah
Yup!
Its all about MPG ratings and Toyota's need to keep it up.
@@VideoArchiveGuy
Maybe if Toyota had invested in EV's like the other major vehicle brands, Toyota wouldn't be in the mess they are currently.
I have a 2001 GMC Sierra and it takes a couple cranks before it starts if I let it sit for an hour or so but in the morning it starts right away. I have new fuel lines, pump, filter, regulator, spark plugs, starter and injectors but still has a small starting problem
Lots of other things Toyota got wrong with the new Tundra: Larger turning radius than the previous generation (that stops me right there) smaller fuel tank than the previous generation, and I think, at least in the double cab, you lose 1.5 inches of leg room front and rear over the previous generation. Doesn't sound like much, but you'll notice it.
My 2023 and 2015 have close to the same turning radius. The truck is 4 inches longer and there isn't much difference in the wheelbase.
Scotty can you put a 5.7 v8 in one of the new Gen trucks with the new transmission
@@rm5282which one is longer the 15 or 23 ? Thanks
@@kennethrobinson1672 the 23 is longer by 4 inches.
597 miles with an average of 14 MPG only to get up to 21 MPG ? Maybe it’s spent time at idle but definitely believe the MPG savings is not enough or really any better than a V8.
We the Consumer are stuck paying the V8 price for a 6 Cylinder vehicle. Once again we are getting ripped off.
I have a customer with a 2021 F150 5.0L V8 averaging 20 mpg
Scott we were regular frequented of the Conroe dealership. Bought an extended cab Chevy Silverado and Mustang GT 4.6 . Saved money
Scotty great review, would love to see what you think of the titan.
I am not a fan that they put the V6 with turbos in there. They should have left the V8 in there. 🛻🛻🛻🛻
Scotty what do you think of a V8 hybrid? Got the full power of the V8 when you need it and hybrid reducing fuel consumption when driving normal.
It's not a very it's a v6 twin turbo hybrid engine.
Would love to see one with some heavier turbo noise
Also, you can hear fuel pumps kick on if You are quite while slowly turning the ignition...No low mechanical whirring sound means it's shot...
Crank no start on my 96 Tauri was stripped wire on crank sensor.
Wrapped it with rubber tape, job Done!🤙🏄♂️
Scotty, did you floor it during the break in period?
Making my day as always! You rock Scotty!!
Great review Scotty. I have an 2008 Tundra with no issues. I was looking at this truck as a replacement. The owner must be from Laos or Thailand based on the sticky rice in the bed.
Keep your 2008 if you have less than 300 thousand miles on it.
The “feel” you are taking about with torque is because of the supper aggressive gearing of the outgoing 6 speed. The 4.30 rear end is super snappy. I had two of them…😊
I'm happy with my 2001 F-150 With over 400k all original and has a sliding back glass that won't ever break unlike the garbage that Toyota throw out
