One thing to note regarding the non organic meat as an exception is Bison in the US; In the United States, the use of synthetic hormones, including those you mentioned such as zeranol, trenbolone acetate, and melengestrol acetate, is prohibited in bison production. Bison raised for meat in the U.S. are not administered these hormones, as federal regulations prohibit their use in bison farming. As a result, consumers can typically find hormone-free bison meat in the market.

Thanks for that information. I live in rural Iowa, and I have access to reasonably priced beef. I was aware of all the hormones and other crap the feedlot cattle here are given, along with the high cortisol content from the stress causes from being raised that way. Some beef in stores here have so much cortisol in it that it has a strong unappealing taste. I can get bison, so thanks again.

@@jackychandler8594 Bison is also mainly allowed to graze on the wild grass and is fed very little corn. More selenium and other beneficial things than beef as well. Better for the environment too because they are native to the plains and buying the bison meat also helps the privately owned conservation efforts of ranchers to repopulate the diminished Bison populations.

Ive got low-T, type2 diabetes, obese low energy and had a stroke in 2020. I need to increase my testosterone seriously! Since the beginning of the year I have been following proper diet and have losy approx 25lbs. My problem is exercise. I have problems from my stroke in walking any distance. I need strength too! Im thinking that some chair exercises would be in order for me? Will this get my testosterone up? I cannot take HRT due to having to take blood thinners because I have a blood clot factor.

What about if you are in your 60’s , your PSA reading is 19 and your testosterone levels are at 1242 and you are not on any hormones therapy? Working out and over the counter supplements are my thing. I’m scheduled for a biopsy and was told that my high testosterone level are a problem and I don’t know what to do to bring them down.

Quoting relative risk of dying from low testosterone is meaningless unless we know the absolute risk. If the absolute risk of dying with normal testosterone is 1% this means the relative risk of dying with low testosterone is 1.88 % with both being statistically insignificant.

Yes I thought that 100% of us are at risk of dying so what does it mean that low testosterone men are 88% more likely to die???😂

You are walking on the edge when you chop wood. One slip and there goes your toe. Focused strength is a brain and body builder.

Would love some feedback or content on the dangers of synthetic testosterone. My husband struggles with Low T and takes injections. He’s convinced he can’t live without it now.

      The question is:
How are continued high estrogen levels in men contributing to male health during testosterone supplementation, and shouldn't one rather decrease the high estrogen naturally through reducing body fat content, while naturally increasing testosterone?

I'm 51 and I've struggled with major depression for 30+ years. I've had doctors give me all kinds of medications down the years; some with awful side effects. 6 months ago I started seeing a different doctor and she had tons of tests done (including a certain prostate test); one of her concerns was my T-level (200). I've been taking 1/2ml weekly for 6 months; now it's 1069 & physically and mentally I've never been so excited about life.... never. My zest for life is explosive. Long as your husband is having blood work done every 3 months. Stand beside him with encouragement and support. 😊

Dr Axe my husband and I have aged quickly after moving to a city that has fluoride in the water. My husband has lost his libido and I have really bad arthritis. We eat very healthy and take care of our selves. My husband takes a high blood pressure pill but I take nothing and we are in our mid 70s. The only thing that has changed for us is fluoride in our water. Could that be the cause of our troubles. Thank You

I would not think so. It is important to keep active with plenty of excercise where possible but above all else just eat, drink and be merry.

Don't drink tap water directly. Boil the water before drinking it. It removes all the nasties like bromine, chlorine etc. Never trust the water supply.

Fluoride's one of the worst to have in water, it's basically rat poison. It also gets into your system even when taking a shower or a bath. Drinking from a non fluoridated bottle of water would be much better than from the faucet especially city water with all the chemicals and especially fluoride.

What makes me mad is 5 years ago I resumed lifting after a long hiatus, and in that time I have done other things too like nearly quiting soda, reducing my sugar intake, increasing my red meat intake, added supplimemts, and basically did numerous things that supposedly increase testosterone except for lowering my age and my testosterone levels have fallen in this time.
Plus since I'm an actual male and not a teenage girl looking for Tik Tok popularity, getting testosterone supplementation has been unsuccessful because I'm not below the ridiculously-low low end of normal.

The average age of men is older in many places. The stats say that T is dropping; that's just what you'd expect for an aging population.
