It’s cute ok. Sorry for awful explanation and comment layout in general didn’t have enough time ❤
      Peepoop!
My dog- Sam heard that and he takes it personally everytime he hears it
(Kinda need to explain that he is very good at recognizing a list of words, if he wants something specific he maleriet very clear- so when he does and his wish isn’t immediately obvious I go through a list of words/questions and he will react very yes! Or nah nrn.
Words such as Thirsty? hungry? Outside? Walk? Tis?(pee) poop?
Do you wanna oe so you need to variants it’s a long list but pee?poop? Is two questions that always seem to happen in that order. Smart as he is. He raises his ears in interest when hears peewoop, he thinks he is being asked what he wants - I have a high pitched voice and despite my native language being Danish I primarily speak English. Always have.
I’m sorry for a poor attempt at explaining. I hate typing. Never comes across as I meant it to

Hey my name is Rocky and I am counselling psychologist. First of all thank you Dr. Mike and all the other doctors for their amazing advice, hope it helps many of us😌😌. And also anyone who is reading this, likes a free advice for their mental health, I'll say that if you are someone who feels anxious or feel sad or depressed or have some kind of mood disorder or just stressed out of life in general, spending time in nature, I mean the more greener the better can help you tremendously. It doesn't always have to be a forest hike or a beach day, it can be as simple as taking a break and just going outside to just breath the fresh air, get some sunlight etc. Hope it helps and have a great day ahead or good night 😂😂😂

I heard getting plenty of sunlight helps dopamine production and stuff, but just my curiosity why does nature helps calm our feelings or mood? other than how it feels relaxing (is thete any science behind it? or is it all just a feeling thing)

    • @rockypereira3179
      @rockypereira3179 8 місяців тому +12

@@flip8895 Yes what you heard is correct. And idk the full biology behind the connection between nature and humans, preferably a evolutionary biologist will be better able to explain that to you.
But I'll tell you what I have personally learned and experienced. So the outer nature, whether you refer to wildlife or forest or mountains or beaches, are as much part of human life than we tend to realize in this modern life.
Also if we look at our ancestors, even close to thousands of years back, nature played a vital role in our survival; everything we needed, we got from nature. That's why when we talk about basic human needs food and water come first, followed by sleep and sex (sex so that we don't go extinct)
And when we spend time in nature those primal instinct gets kicked in. For humans the most natural thing to do is, be in nature coz that's what we have been doing for thousands of years.
That's why even painting ones room in shades of green tend to be calming since it reflects the nature, that's why we still have pets, we don't need them but they support us emotionally and sometimes physically coz this bond was created by our ancestors. Plus today's lifestyle and economical growth/constraints have made this access to nature much more difficult.
Like its bizzar that government has to place down rules for people to get sunlight access coz if not someone might build a building right next to your window(NYC 🗽) or artificial lights go on 24/7 disrupting sleep cycle (Mumbai).
Now there are good things which this growth has done by getting people more closer to nature where in the past they'll have to travel long distances. Like aquarium, wildlife reservation etc. And also we have some much information about how we can protect it and flourish it.
There is so much I can say but the comment section is limited 😂😂😂 so hope you got a idea about it. Hope it helps, have a great day/night ahead 🤝🏽😊

    Hi, this is brilliant 😊
Just wanted to chime in from my medical field as it's often overlooked! I am all of these specialities. I perform many types of surgeries, but also plenty of GP work. Radiologist, dentist, dermatologist, opthalmologist...
I'm a veterinarian. My patients have a huge variation, are often a little more feisty, and can't communicate as easily as humans can. If history has taught us anything, its that veterinary medicine has such a vital role to play in one health!

But I wholeheartedly agree--it would be so cool to see vet med included in this dialogue. The use if ICE after injury is NOT evidence based. I really like the video, and idea of collaboration. But am a little shocked that a sports physician is still disseminating old school treatments that have been debunked. Ice can reduce swelling if used in the first couple hours after injury, but has been proven to delay the healing process, and use of it is not in line with current best practices. If you want to reduce swelling, use compression and elevation. Any modern and evidence based physiotherapist can tell you this, but we often still get patients entering clinics that have been told by their doctor to "ICE it". If you want to see current best practices after an acute injury, just google "Peace and love injury", and you will see the abbreviation for current reccomendations.

    Pharmacist here! Some tips:
    1. Set alarms for your medication reminders
    2. put alerts in your phone for refill time.
    3. associate your medication times with something you do every day without fail (like brushing your teeth)
    4. Keep a list of medications, how you take them, and why in your wallet behind your driver’s license.
    5. Make sure you tell your pharmacist everything you take regardless of if it is prescription or not and where you fill it. They need to check it against each other and will likely have tips on when to take each one!

Putting marijuana on par with processed tobacco products is disingenuous. I doubt many people are denying the marijuana smoke may cause cancer. Cigarettes are likely the worst for lung cancer due to the additives, but all forms are still risky.

OMG!!! That whole weight thing and back issues, is so spot on! I used to weigh almost 400 pounds 12 years ago. I have back pain. Thigh pain. My whole body was out of whack. I started exercising and making my nutrition my priority. 12 and a half years later, I lost almost 200 pounds without surgery. I’ve had three complete knee replacements. I feel like a rockstar now.🥇🥇🥇

I once ran across a comment -- I think on a video critiquing the "Healthy at Any Size" movement -- that basically said "admit it, the only reason you would want to lose weight is so you look nice for other people."
I have yet to put this together, but I plan to make a blog post that is like 50 reasons I'd like to lose weight... none of which have anything to do with how others see me (I have those motivations too, they're just not anywhere near the top of the list), and most of which are just how uncomfortable and physically limiting it is to be 300 lbs. Why anyone would think this is purely a social issue, or that excess weight has no objective reason to be undesirable, is beyond me.

Love this video, so I wanted to add my input too 😊
I work in reception and appointments for a primary care office, which means I help patients and doctors coordinate their care plans for health maintenance. I am also part of our Hospital Emergency Response Team, which means in the event of a mass casualty event, I help to provide critical care and support to patients affected by an incident. My biggest tip would be as follows: be a proactive participant in healthcare. This means having all your information and documentation together and up-to-date (such as med lists, Power of Attorney, and so on.) But also, seek out emergency response training, such as Stop The Bleed training, Hands-Only CPR, Narcan training, Basic Life Support and First Aid, and so on. I hope I never need to use it, but having that knowledge has made me more confident and ready so I won’t freeze up.

@@natsdentureadventure hope you’re doing better soon. That’s so harsh because the past few generation of migraine medications have really been something, they work (when taking the right one for how severe the migraines are). Then and then there’s botox for migraines which are uncontested.
Hope all works out, but if for some reason you’re having difficulty getting to a neurologist or even primary (maybe) for migraines, would be cool if you try magnesium supplements (choose the right one though… most are really just dieuretics😂. Some formulations are legit prescribed for that purpose). A US agency says under like 400 mg daily is safe for men (don’t remember women, 350?). Every one’s a bit deficient in the west, but if you ever get random foot cramps you really need it.
If you try it for a week and it helps somewhat let me know lol, all the research on the migraine vs Magnesium is a bit old if I recall
