I remember the newhart show from the 80s when I was a kid. I watch The Bob Newhart Show and Newhart every weeknight on Catchy Comedy. RIP Bob. Your comedic genius will last forever.

Rest peaceful, we are seniors and watch the old shows on DVDs. Bob Newhart is a good old favorite.

I grew up watching his sitcoms as a kid both his 80s series when it aired on CBS and reruns of his 70s sitcom which aired on this station from 1986-93. This station aired reruns of Newhart from 1989-90 and the superstation part aired his 80s sitcom in 1995-96 & from 2008-10.

After years of enjoying his TV appearances and more, finally got to see him live when he came to Seattle’s Snoqualmie Casino and performed in 2015. I know he had grandkids in the Seattle era, which may have helped to make that happen. We both also lived in Chicago before, so we shared that as well. Glad you were able to share your gifts for our enjoyment, Bob.

Loved him and his humor. Glad we have so many audio and televised recordings to remember him with. I already miss the the thought that he might pop up in a cameo somewhere and be just perfect. He is also my beloved Papa Elf

Bob Newhart was one of my dad's favorite entertainers. Growing up in Chicago, our family watched the show every week. My dad looked like Bob Newhart in the era of the original "Bob Newhart Show," and I used to confuse them when they aired the show's opening--my dad had the same coat and hat--

Bob Newhart was born at West Suburban Hospital on the Oak Park side of Austin Blvd. Taken home he lived on Mason Ave. in Chicago, until he left for Hollywood in his early thirties. He was not a native of Oak Park, just like Betty White, born in Oak Park moved as an infant to the west coast.

@mike89128. Thanks for clarifying. Darn though. When Dean said he was born OP, I was hoping st Oak Park Hospital, like me. You have dashed my vision of bragging that I was born in the same hospital as the great Bob Newhart. He was a treasure.

Bob Newhart will always be remembered as a comedic
Genius. He could be funny without resorting to profanity or off color jokes. He was a big part of my childhood, and for that I will forever be grateful. RIP Bob.
