WoW I’m a 70yo Disabled Veteran and when I was 19yo I thought I was dead 2 separate times. I’m still here and had Prostate Cancer surgery about 5 years ago and so far so good. In the last 6 months though 3 of my dearest long term friends have passed away and that really hurts. I guess I’m at the stage of life where that happens. I really don’t like this crap . I recently met a young couple who are engaged and the guy asked me what was the Best Time of My Life? I sat silent for a minute or so thinking about his question. I then told him the years that my 2 daughters were born and that 18 years or so were the absolute BEST YEARS OF MY LIFE. I had to work my ass off so my wife could be at home with the girls. Living on Long Island is very expensive. We had 2 cars and a mortgage and I wanted my daughters to go to camp in the summers like I did when I was growing up. I joined a Daddy Daughter Bowling League for a few winters with my youngest daughter. She still talks about it today. She reminded me that I was a few minutes late one evening getting to the bowling alley and I had told her that I went super fast in the Corporate Jet I was flying just to get there. I used over 102% of power on all 3 engines to make it to the bowling alley. Which is a true story.. I wish I could do it all over again but unfortunately that’s not going to happen.
I’m a 78yo who had to reply to your reply. First, thank you for your service. Next, I’ll pray for you to hit the 7year mark in your cancer fight. Thank you for “ working your ass off” so that your wife could be a stay-at-home mom. One of my strongest beliefs is that our most cherished memories about our parents is how much TIME they spent with us, not how much money they spent on us. Finances can vary, but everyone has the same 24 hour allotment every day. How we spend that says a lot about our values. Kids pick up on this as they grow up. It sounds as if your daughters have.
Dear Mark, I am a retired Croatian army veteran, and reading your words makes me shudder at how similar the lives and destinies of us "brothers in arms" are. May God bless you with many more years of health and happiness.
Thank you for your service Sir 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸. I was very happy when my 2 daughters were born in the’70’s. Now they don’t talk to me after i divorced. I am amazed at the amount of pancreatic cancer. It is very difficult to cure. I'm a doctor in Brazil and the best results are coming from the Pancreatic Cancer Center. It is in Lisbon, Portugal. Built by donations from the Champalimaud Foundation.
The cause of pancreatic cancer is still unknown, but some risk factors can make the patient more prone to the disease, such as smoking, obesity, type 2 diabetes and chronic pancreatitis due to alcohol abuse. Mortality is high because it gives few symptoms in the early stages. Only 5% of patients live more than 5 years. In excellent medical centers, mortality improves to 98% of survivors after 5 years of diagnosis.
I think you need to have a part 2. There are some noted actors that you didn't name: Merlin Olsen, Kevin Hagen (both of Little House on the Prairie). Gilda Radner, William Hopper, Raymond Burr, Susan Hayward and Richard Jordan. All died of cancer, and are all notable actors.
@@johnthomas2877 True, but we can wish the very best for them, and pray for them. That's not our judging their fate, that's being charitable and loving. Of course, it's up to God, who, I believe, is more loving, forgiving and merciful than many of us give Him credit for.
My partner has skin cancer. When in the past I would hear those words "skin cancer" and think so what it's nothing, but seeing his skin get nasty looking shiny with huge blisters and sores and now his skin is starting to come off in places with him crying from the pain. Not mentioned was actress Diana Hyland, that finally had a starring role in her first TV series, 'Eight is Enough'. She died of breast cancer after filming only 4 episodes. She was killed off of the show and not replaced with another actress. In the second season, widower Tom Bradford met and married Abby, played by Betty Buckley.
Diana Hyland was the most elegant blonde since Grace Kelly, and I used to see her in "Peyton Place." She played John Travolta's mother in "The Boy In a Bubble" and they got along so well that she bearded for him in a well-publicized romance.

That one sucks! I have it and yes they have made strides in treating it but still something I will die a painful death with and should have never been exposed to since it was 2 nd hand exposure!
Yes, I now realize that it may sound illogical, but the video covers information on 150 actors, and it took me a week to gather and process all the data for it. Unfortunately, mistakes like this happen.
Anyone said that cancer was an epidemic??? Well, lung cancer makes sense when we were told that smoking was GOOD FOR YOU! And as far as PANCREATIC cancer, which can take you in just a few weeks, well, maybe more work needs to be done to FIND OUT WHAT THE SOURCE OF ALL THE CASES CAN BE. A lot of leukemia as well. We seem to need serious talks about the dangers, and from a young age, especially with shortages of medical staff. And 2 more things would help: stopping ads for products known to be triggers for ilnesses, and investigating the foods we buy, local and foreign imported. The ECONOMY is a great thing, but not useful for those who leave us for the next world, due to that carnage.
There were a number of celebrities left out. Perhaps a part two video will be done. Also, as some have pointed out there were several inconsistencies. Still, it was put together well enough. I was surprised in learning that some have passed on that I thought were still alive. And I agree, how could you leave out Valerie Harper?
He was also an angry drunk, beating up many innocent midgets when he was heavily inbreated. Cancer got him before the wrong person would have done him in a drunken outburst.
@@Sam-pt2vv Firstly, this piece is about stars who died from cancer. Secondly, Carson’s drunken bad behavior were all in his younger days, he also stopped drinking completely 23 years before he died.
@dougmcbroom8520 allegedly...he stop drinking. But his drunken behavior would have eventually ruined his liver. Its a miracle he lasted as long as he did.
I don't have to watch this whole video to know that half of these actors didn't have to die, if they just hadn't started smoking! If any product should be prohibited, it should be this one, except the U.S. Govt. gets too many billions of dollars in taxes from it & will never prohibit this 'money maker'!
I remember it; that commercial 😢 aired the day after he died. It gave me chills when I first started watching it "I'm Yul Brynner, now that I'm gone.......
I survived bladder cancer. Prior to surgery a nurse told me that no one ever died from bladder cancer…found out afterwards that many have died as a result of bladder cancer.
please continue , i expect the next episode will be about the actors who died because of pneomania and next will be about the actors who died because of ''heart attack'' and so on.....
I have had pneumonia 3x in last 6 mths. It is surely not something to fool with . Lost 10 pounds I can't afford to lose ..now at 88 pounds at 58 yrs old. Have lived my entire life except during 3 pregnancies , being 98 pounds and 5 ft 4 in...small but strong ..these pneumonia have made me very weak and I can barely open a bottle of pop.. its sad...was on antibiotics which caused more problems sadly. One I was allergic too and one was too strong for my stomach. Seriously a horrible disease. Yes I have had all the pneumonia shots including prevnar booster to pneumonia one.. I don't know how to gain my strength back and finally wake up one day and not feel so horrible. Was sick the whole summer and now the fall and it's snowing here in Michigan too.
I Love your video and very interesting indeed! I would make one observation? I'm sorry, but maybe double check your work before releasing it in the future? I saw at least three errors where the written name, age and cancer type were incorrect and put on the wrong person's. Other than that, I really enjoyed the video, and again, I'm sorry to point out these errors, but I would imagine you'd want 100% accuracy for your viewers! Keep up the great work 👍 👏 😊
A pancreatic cancer diagnosis is nearly always a death sentence. By the time it’s found the cancer is already late stage. We need a lot more research to find a way to catch it sooner
This is very true. I learn almost every other day (so it seems) of someone I know who is diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Often they experienced no symptom other than suddenly feeling a bit "under the weather", which propelled them to consult a physician.

I'm on LP pp poo it ok on

All Truly Great Icons. May Their Souls Rest In Peace.
A great number of these actors and actresses are in no way "iconic."
Respectfully 😊😊
It's not for us to say if they'll rest in peace or burn forever in you know where. Only God determines that.
@@johnthomas2877 True, but we can wish the very best for them, and pray for them. That's not our judging their fate, that's being charitable and loving. Of course, it's up to God, who, I believe, is more loving, forgiving and merciful than many of us give Him credit for.
Thank you. 😊
RIP to all great actors and actresses😇😇🤚🤚🤚
My partner has skin cancer. When in the past I would hear those words "skin cancer" and think so what it's nothing, but seeing his skin get nasty looking shiny with huge blisters and sores and now his skin is starting to come off in places with him crying from the pain. I hate it that I can't help him. Skin is our largest organ
Ke suis loin, très loin (en France 🇨🇵), et je suis de tout coeur avec vous 💕 Je vous souhaite à tous les 2, encore de bons moments ensemble 😉👍💓🥳 ! Courage 💪 ! Patrick 👋🙋
Rest In Peace to all good persons
Mathew 25:44,45 " Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer unto them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me."
So sad May they all rest in peace Amen 🙏🙏🙏

I know my favorite silent movie star Buster Keaton was on list. He was very funny actor.
@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?
Yul Brenner made an advertisement against smoking where he looked directly into the camera and said: " Don't smoke. Whatever you do, Don't smoke"
So did actor William Talman. He played Hamilton Burger on Perry Mason.
The advertisement that potentially saved the greatest number of human lives in history
I remember that one
Yup Brynner’s commercial was bone chilling ~ really. He looked straight into the camera with a piercing stare and a deep voice and said: “ DON’T SMOKE.”
Omg I have to see that 😮

Certainly, because it was previously permitted and widely used.

That one sucks! I have it and yes they have made strides in treating it but still something I will die a painful death with and should have never been exposed to since it was 2 nd hand exposure!
I always like old acotors & actresses. Thanks for sharing. Lots of love from Bangladesh 🌹❤🇧🇩
So nice of you
Clarify: You said Diane Carrol was the first black woman to star in her own tv show, then later you said the same about Ethel Waters.
Yes, I now realize that it may sound illogical, but the video covers information on 150 actors, and it took me a week to gather and process all the data for it. Unfortunately, mistakes like this happen.

Why is there such an inordinately high number of cases of pancreatic cancer among people in the entertainment industry?
Heavy drinking can contribute to pancreatic cancer
I noticed that too. 👍🏻
Booze
That's exactly what I was going to say. I wonder what the connection is or was.
Not necessarily alcohol. My family member died of pancreatic cancer at 60 years old. He never drank alcohol or smoked. Sometimes it’s pure bad luck
Richard Crenna was also a featured actor on The Real McCoys tv series in the 60s
Ii I❤
Richard Crenna also appeared in Rambo films
Andrea Lego. died September 29,2021 age 68 of cancer. She was my wife. 😢 Her cancer was female related in addition to her kidneys.
Takes my mind and memories back to the days of the "real great movies and actors/actresses. The movies live on!!!
Don't drink alcohol, don't smoke, exercise like a warrior and don't eat processed meat and you lesson your chances of getting cancer.
And pick your parents carefully.

Suzanne Somers - you have the details for Anthony Quinn against her picture
I apologize for the mistake
I see. At least most people know who she is. She died in 2023
@@jamesharris-io3kzI didn't know she died; but I don't watch TV or especially the news anymore.
There were a number of celebrities left out. Perhaps a part two video will be done. Also, as some have pointed out there were several inconsistencies. Still, it was put together well enough. I was surprised in learning that some have passed on that I thought were still alive. And I agree, how could you leave out Valerie Harper?
Or Gilda Radner?
Johnny Carson, who smoked on-air on the Tonight Show, when he knew he was dying said: “Those goddamn cigarettes!”
@@Sam-pt2vv Again, he didn’t die of liver failure, nor cirrhosis, nor cancer of the liver. He died of emphysema from smoking. End of subject!
I never thought cigarettes made someone look "cool".@CraigPepe899
I don't have to watch this whole video to know that half of these actors didn't have to die, if they
just hadn't started smoking! If any product should be prohibited, it should be this one, except the
U.S. Govt. gets too many billions of dollars in taxes from it & will never prohibit this 'money maker'!
I concur with your viewpoint that if something poses as much harm to health as smoking does, it should be outright banned
Alot of people died of lung cancer & NEVER SMOKED do your homework !!!!!!!!
If cigarettes are prohibited, they'll sell in the black market. Prohibition is NOT a solution
I remember Yul made a commercial about smoking before he died
So did Steve McQueen appeared in TV advert re smoking
I remember it; that commercial 😢 aired the day after he died. It gave me chills when I first started watching it "I'm Yul Brynner, now that I'm gone.......
I survived bladder cancer. Prior to surgery a nurse told me that no one ever died from bladder cancer…found out afterwards that many have died as a result of bladder cancer.
please continue , i expect the next episode will be about the actors who died because of pneomania and next will be about the actors who died because of ''heart attack'' and so on.....
Appreciate your suggestion. I'll certainly create a video along those lines within the next ten days
I have enjoyed every movie that I’ve see you in, . I’am sure if you wear still around you would have made many more movies for us to enjoy. R.I.P.
Keep up the great work 👍 👏 😊
Boa noite! Faltou Kelly Preston.
