Absolutely fantastic review on the plane. All the info and opinions I need to know to decide if I want to purchase and you put the plane through alot of its abilities. When you talk about mixing the rudder in with the airlerons, is this a mix setting in the TX? If so are you having the rudder move towards the airleron that moves up or is it the other way around? Also what %. Hope you bring out more reviews mate. Just subd 👍🏾
Thank you for your comment! I was mixing rudder and aileron together manually, but you could absolutely program it into your transmitter. Yes, the rudder will move towards the wing of the elevated aileron. I would start very small, maybe 5-10% and go from there until you achieve the desired turn radius your looking for.
Its scary how very similar FMS & eflite are! Same pilot figures, same latching assy, etc. (My 2.3m fox has that same pilot figure! 😳). Like the 1.4m & 850mm pitts'! Both use the same battery trays. Mine interchange.
Horizon owns FMS, so they use parts from both brands on their planes now, some E-flite-branded airplanes are FMS models with different paint & Horizon electronics.
Great video! I have been flying a Turbo Timber Evo and I’m trying to decide what my first low wing plane should be between the RV-7 or the P51 June Night 1.5m…..your thoughts?
Mang, are using the bottom hole on your control horn on your Ailerons? Because I have this plane and E-Flight recommends the bottom hole. The closer you are to your control surface the more throw you will get. I would change that to the next hole up and see if like the roll rate. You do have three options there. I haven't flown mine yet, so I will see what I think about the roll rate is for me. As far as the wheels I change all of them on these E-Flight planes. The tolerances on the hubs and axels are terrible. So sloppy and nosey, I can't stand it. For me investing $4.00 dollars on new wheels and collars is worth it for me. Happy Flying! :)
@@lw216316 Okay, so after you bind your plane, go to “Telemetry” in your functions list and choose “auto-config”. Then on your main screen as if you were flying, scroll to the right through the telemetry menus, you’ll see all the data that you get on different screens. The AR637A/T receivers are full-range so you’ll receive data 24/7, but the AR631 that is in the RV-7 is the fly by, which means the airplane has to be close enough to your transmitter to send the data, so you will receive the information as you “fly by” your self.
@@mangzrc Thank you. Running Auto-config worked. I set up a switch to give me the info so I will not have to take my eyes off the plane to look at the radio.
@@gisall8205 Awesome, just remember it is very light and kinda squirrelly on its tail when taking off and landing so be prepared on the rudder to counteract anything. 👍🏻
Well. 137 Recorded flights later and this is one of my favorite, go to airplanes. Trashed the Wheel pants and Hard Plastic Wheels and installed Du-Bro 3" narrow, low bounce wheels. Amazing difference in landing and control. Now it's quiet also. Great video Brother. @@mangzrc
Great video!!!
Great 🤬🤬🤬. Now i gotta get 1!😁

Apart from the NOISY wheels,
I absolutely love mine.. totally locked in.
4s 2200 75c are really punchy.
6min with aerobatics.

RV-7 without a doubt. 👍🏻
I just bought the RV-7 and want to do the wheel mod…Do you have a link for the exact tires you used?

Does the motor before you put on the prop does it curve a little? Mine isn’t perfectly straight.
Yes that is intentional, the offset of the motor helps eliminate torque roll
Bought one, documentation says it supports fly by telemetry - what is that and how do I set it up?
Which transmitter do you have?

Does rv-7 have reverse thrust
Yes, you can program reverse onto any airplane with the Spektrum Avian ESC’s.
Did you sat that a 4s 2200mah battery is giving you 7 to 8 minute flights. Is that really true.
Yep, depending on how much you are on the throttle of course. This plane gets good flight times in general in my experience and with my flying style.

Are the wheel pants removable?
Yes
@@mangzrc Cool.
Do you think it can handle a 4S 4000 mah?
Yeah it would probably be fine, just make sure your CG is okay.
@@mangzrc yep I put it all the way back and it does ol
@@mangzrc also thinking about upgraded tail wheel cause it’s week like the maule
@@matthewmorrissey2568 Yep, tail wheel is hard as a brick.
@@mangzrc so should I upgrade it?
