Yeah, same here. I'd love a 2000mm glider but for practicality reasons I need to stay with sub 250g planes. As good as this looks, I want to know if you could do 15 - 20 minute slope soaring with it? Every video I have seen shows this behaving more like a plane than a glider. Please let me know if you have since found an example video dude 👍
@@austinrhubarb I’ve watched a mountain of videos. Thomas Moller has a great slope gliding video but doesn’t talk much about his sailplane. grub1962 has a great slope video. His plane is the FMS ASW-17. That’s my favorite plane out of all that I’ve seen. It’s big and they say it’s heavy but she flies like no other. They say it doesn’t want to land. With the motor assist to get it up and its robust design it’s probably what I’ll buy. You can read his response to me on that video. I’ve seen other videos of that plane where they setup crow on the radio and that can give a lot more flap and slow glide capability. Hope that helps.
It climbs well. If your using the motor to climb and can find thermals , I can get 30 minute flights (motor off, with flaps and some elevator mixed in. I imagine you could get 45 to 60 minute flights if you did the same with some rudder mixed in, so you could auto circle once gliding. Sport flights are between 5 to maybe 10 minutes. I have both the normal size and the umx and I almost always go to the umx version. The normal version can cover alot of space in a hurry and is probably too big for most parks (well if people are present)
@Cad1900 it's a very good glider for the money and glides quite well. Thermals are easy to stay afloat in cause it's so light . Almost too light. Alot of the time I have to dive out of them or risk a fly away.
Great video. I am thinking about a UMX, but I would like to ask which model can fly the slowest? Umx turbo timber evolution, umx air tractor or umx concendo? Thank you and good luck🙂
love mine set up the flaps you can really slow it down for landing and for battery i run the spectrum 3s 300 10 minutes mixed glide and fff
I love the UMX planes. That one moves like a pylon racer. Lol Looks like a blast.
I've never flown an airplane, I've only ever flown helis, but man, seeing this airplane fly makes me wanna get it as my first airplane.
do it bro! fixed wing is fun :D
I just bought one, hopefully I can figure out how to bind with my Radiomaster TX16s Four in One
I’m more interested in using the motor to climb than just hunting thermals. I cannot find one review with this scenario.

@@michaelbarajas1544 this is fantastic information thank you so much 😊 I may go with this one.

Your video made me sold on the UMX.

The timber
Probably the Timber, although the Concendo is a close second and a lot more fun imo.
Flight and glider flight time?
Nice!
Did you have to add more weight to the front to get the CG right?
No, I’m not a stickler about CG, as long as it’s good enough I’m good lol
Glider
It’s like a super cheap pattern ship.
