Great plane, really easy to fly. My first tail dragger and flaps plane. Many flights so far on 3S and 4S, no issues. Having worked on building my own real RV-7A plane, I'm very familiar with them. They're rated for +6, -3 G loads, so "gentlemans" aerobatics as Van's says. I'd say anyone wanting to fly this should already know how to fly an RC plane. Beyond that, this flys fantastic, even with light wind. It goes fairly fast, and sliws down well with flaps. I did upgrade to larger wheels and removed wheel pants for better grass operations.
Abbey did great and don’t lose the old camera - for me it was perfect without 4K. Nice one guys! ✈️❤️🌈

The RV planes in real life are very capable! My grandfather built a few of these kits. RV3, RV4, RV6, and RV6A. In his RV4, he did stunts with me in the plane when I was a kid. But today, he finally sold his last plane at the age of 95. But he's still hanging in there! He just still misses flying. Cool video and review sir!

That was an excellent exhibition of scale and aerobatic flying Nate! Abby the 1080p camera is still working just fine I honestly don't see a difference but then I'm 65 years old lol and as for the pilot when I look at guy I see the name Luke I don't know why but Luke!! Just put mine together today. And programmed the “beta”. Hoping for drier weather for the maiden. Only real issue is kind of picky. When will Horizon realize that pilots aren’t 3 years old? The pilot is tiny for the airplane’s scale. And you hold the “stick” with your left hand, right hand for throttle, prop, etc., in the side by side if you fly PIC (usual) from the left side. I owned a “full scale” RV6 for many years. Loved it. And fully acrobatic. After my maiden I will paint it up to match my full scale one and install an appropriate sized pilot. Thanks for a nice review.

Love this aircraft. I built and fly a RV-6 and will need to get this when I get more competent at RC flying. The RV-7 is basically a Computer Aided Design update to the RV-6. Richard VanGrunsven (Van’s Aircraft) designed and drew the plans by hand for the RV-3, RV-4, and RV-6. Need to get this -7 and paint it like mine. Flying characteristics look to be similar to the real aircraft. Note: The step behind the flap is only used on the nose wheel version, called the RV-7a.

OMG, when you took off in 4S the song, "WAKE ME UP INSIDE" by Evanescence came to mind. What a cool plane and a very very good review. Doesn't seem to matter what camera Abby is using, she always does a wonderful job.....
Very nice looking plane. Flew great, mostly because of the great Pilot. The regular camera 📷 works well enough, besides Abby likes the Zoom better, so get the 4 fixed at your leisure. So if first flights ✈️ are Maiden, when you get to 100 flights ✈️ do you call it the Spinster flight ✈️ 🤔🤭🥴🥴. Abby GREAT videoing as always 👍. ⚓⚓👍💜💛💚👍⚓⚓.

Awesome plane . It's one I would get
a flying buddy just bought this plane and is very pleased says it's a hoot to fly. However, Horizon just put a special sale on the T-28 1100mm for $170 BNF with Safe, and AS3X. This is $90 less than the RV-7. I bought the Trojan. Will probably buy the RV-7 in the future.

The RV7 doesn’t look like the discontinued Eflite Commander, but it does have a very similar description. Size, civilian scheme, clear canopy, detailed pilot figure, on a low wing plane with fixed landing gear. It also flys similar! The difference is the Commander needed upgrades before using a 4s battery.
I was looking at buying a Commander when I saw the model was discontinued. The RV7 could be the alternative.
I have mabey 8 airplanes but Helicopters are my thing.. This plane is beautiful and I need it..im going to the LHS now.

I wish I could get into electric planes. I love my gas and nitro to much. I've gotta have that sound and smell. But I gotta say the electric planes keep getting more and more impressive.
I’m in the same predicament as you are I will not go to the field unless I take a nitro gas airplane in other words I bring that electric airplane along just to keep the other airplanes company and maybe take a flight or two on it.However they are building quite a reputation

Seems to be a fantastic flying plane.Just a idea.maybe have a tiny camera inside the cockpit beside the pilot his name could be goose or just Crazy Bob.and use the FPV to fly think that would be more of the seat of your pants flying as if your in the plane and see in it fly from a different perspective.Just a idea seems there's room to do that kind of set up.

It is quiet but has a cool sound as it flies by. What is the coolest sounding plane you have flown? I want my next plane to fly well in safe mode at first but also be the coolest sounding plane ever as it flies by. This seems like a plane a somewhat novice could fly and grow with over time.

1080p is fine you guys! The content is more important than the visual quality. Sure we all like a sharp image, but that's not the important factor. I'd rather it not be like VHS quality though. At that point I'd probably just listen and not watch..HA. And yes always thank God for what grace we get!

I’ve flown this plane a couple times on a 3s battery but haven’t tried any loops or rolls with it. Would this plane handle it with a 3s or do I need a 4s to do aerobatics?
Oh yes you will be fine doing those maneuvers on 3S but 4S everything is just a bit snappier and punchier 👍😁😎⚓️

Start with a HobbyZone Apprentice S 2 1.2m. This is a trainer plane and has a four foot wing span. If you buy the RTF version it will have SAFE and AS3X setup with throttle cut, etc.
You can also try an Areo Scout. That's the most popular trainer hands down. I started on it and now I have a valiant. I'm not sure what I will go for next.

Hey, Horizon? Blue and white CS AC Cobra? Sic. Blue and white Supra Launch? Sweet. Blue white (and grey) RC airplanes? We aren't under attack (ok, maybe from the Paranoid Pumpkin FAA but not) enemy artillery. As good as it looks on the ground? Kinda hard to see it flying in sky camo! That goes for V1200 ass well. I know, good help us hard to get these days, but really?

Man Elite is pumping out more and more excellent quality Planes. I know Eflite and about 10 years ago eflite was more of a toy brand (at least on helis) and the planes were also not the top of the edge but eflite has changed like everything and im quite happy with how they doin right now. They are awesome!
