- Bob Weir And the Wolf brothers with the Wolfpack and the National Symphony Orchestra performing the music of the Grateful Dead at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. Here they are performing Row Jimmy on Wednesday, October 5
I am blown away by this. Young Bobby supported by the national symphony. What can possibly happen next...It has come full circle. The band that our parents were afraid of us all going to follow around the globe...Jer is smiling...
Thank you for sharing. It’s so special and we have to enjoy these moments as much as we can while we can.
Thanks for sharing....Beautiful...Jerry is looking down, smiling, very happy....Its come full circle. Peace...
I am moved to tears, "broken heart don't feel so bad, ain't got half what you thought you had" love to all those in the dead universe, Kyle
🙏👍thank you. That was freaking amazing
Thanks for sharing!! ✌️❤ Sounded so sweet.
Oh man, how I wish I could have traveled to DC to see this.
If you live a good life and then you die, this must be what is waiting for you on The Other Side.
My favorite song from the performance last night - thanks for sharing - I was in the presidential box and was told I couldn’t use my phone #humblebrag
This, and many , many other renditions/covers, prove we weren't crazy following such a talented bunch of folks around the country. Thank you all !!!
I have long maintained that the Grateful Dead have contributed to the American songbook and that, decades from now, their songs will have wormed their way into the national psyche.
Jeff's hair is perfect, lol!
Travis!!! Thank you!!! So funny it’s you of all people who uploaded this. ❤️⚡️💙
I miss the vibe. played Waterbury to complicated to purchase a ticket. I miss my dad
whats Bobby lookin at them screens for he ain't gotta look at them screens! lol
I wonder if the boys from the Dead ever just sit back in awe of how much of an absolute inspiration they are to so many musicians. Just the shear titanic impact they had and continue to have on the evolution of music.
Can’t wait to be there Saturday
Who is conducting?
Row, -Row, -Row! (((()))))Bobby is Glowing :):):)
It's cool amd bob toned down the tin in his guitar doesn't get anymore mainstream than this however. Guess the hippies have arrived.
Everything I’ve seen of this thing are Hunter/Garcia songs.
His voice is pretty shot.
Someone in the crowd always has to be negative despite this being a moment for all time.
@@bethwright8595 I've been following the Dead since '67 .You can't handle the truth
Oh my! That was different.
Bob is doing insane stuff.
Beautiful 😍 wow
Love me some Bobby!
Sweet
I thought everyone was standing , I have tickets for Saturday and hope everyone isn’t seated the whole time. I had to buy a single ticket for a friend and was hoping in dead spirit of dancing that we’d be able to enjoy the show together. Was everyone required to wear masks?
It sure didn't look like it in the video.
@@bethwright8595 I went last night and my seats weren’t very good since they were center but way back so in typical fashion we relocated and found a fantastic spot where we could do whatever we wanted stand or sit with no obstructed view. Have to say it was a wonderful show and couldn’t have had a better time with family and friends. I’m so glad we got this opportunity to see this amazing collaboration

Jerry would never
I doubt if asked Jerry would say no. He would not be the originator of the idea but definitely would play along just mess with the fans and spread the music to new people
We are Ever Wear
🤭 *€=*{~)*
Nowhere’s ‘round the bend . . . When the going is _orchestral_
“Weir everywhere”
meh lol ...love the effort though!
Wow. You still listened!!!! Plus 74 years young. You do better!!!!
@@brandoncupp9195 im not a musician
Then listen with your 2 ears, not your 1 mouth
@@brandoncupp9195 that doesn't even make sense. Nobody has ear drums in their mouth. Dude, you listen, it's just not very good...or interesting. I'm a big Bobby guy and love seeing him in a tux, but the whole orchestra thing is a much better fit for someone like Trey whose songs have a natural transition to an orchestral arrangement. I get it, Bob has the monetary freedom to basically make any goofy idea a reality so why the F not, but he should probably stick to being an iconic rock star and controlling the weather 😉
Get over yourself!
