DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN! Two years back, I was an XL, 50 something, happy-go-lucky, armchair bushcrafter. Fast-forward to today, I’ve literally spent thousands on tents, stoves, gear, ration packs, craft beer, rum and hot chocolate. Totally broke but fit as a flea and loving every minute! Thank you that Bloke!

Who doesn’t like a spirit burner , lunch pit stop under a large oak tree ? I appreciate the intricacy of the way the sounds are captured in real time . From the variables in the depth of slosh or crunch of the boot steps you can almost feel how the pack weight compresses it. Rain and wet, very similar to East Tennessee. It’s been raining, off and on, for three days. It’s wet. You must love those leather boots; you’re sure not giving up on ‘em. I’ve gone to non-Gortex, low top, trail shoes. They’re light and dry quickly. Upside down and a squeeze, then hot rocks helps them to dry over night…not completely, but some. Good chow helps me to stay warm. It rains so much we all put our dry stuff down into plastic garbage bags or nylofume bags. Otherwise our stuff gets wet…not good. I have to say, your food has improved since your earlier UA-cam days. My wife has found an excellent hot chocolate recipe, with or without coffee. You sure have some beautiful…and interesting, country there, wet and soggy, just like here, ugh. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Thanks Jeff! Yes, I do love those boots - they don’t dry very quickly with the linings, but they’re super comfy and I like the high support they give - I’ve now got some waterproof over boots so I can Wade through stuff like that without getting soaked! 😁

Although i enjoy your walking vids, i do miss your canoe camp vids, and wondered whether a good venue, being isolated from the main land, is the large Island between Bargate (Surlingham) Broad, and Brundall?. Have a look and see what you think.
Thanks Neil! Yes - the Javelin is a beautiful aircraft!
Thanks I’ll take a look at that island 😁🛶
Nice work man. Great mini series 👊🙏❤️
Simon, it was a treat to see so much farming country. Usually one is hiking in the mountains or paddling on the rivers or touring through the cities. I needed to be reminded that there is lots of farming in the U. K. as well.
Loving the content mate , way better than eastenders lol . . . Keep on keeping on 🎉👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Good vid Simon. I'm sure some of my family has been there during WWII. Beautiful home town. Some very old areas. A lot of history in hand. People were there when others were writing about them selves being the only ones. Next time.
SIMON, another GREAT VIDEO!!! Please make more of your in shop make it videos...
