Thanks so much for your time and effort in the detailed filming, editing, and uploading. Thanks and gratitude to Mrs. In the Woods for loaning you out to us. Another peaceful and tranquil paddle/camp in the hallowed halls of Simon Adventures that I will watch many times over. I would like to see some of your Landy repairs and what you have to do to keep the chariot of the Gods running.
Simon, you're here at just the right time, with just the right sort of soothing video. Totally needed it. That ended up a really lovely camp spot. Looking forward to part 2.
Heh, heh, “Everything now is covered in wine and smells lovely”. Simon, glad you enjoyed your paddle. We did too, thank you…from an old vet, retired in the US foothills of the Smokies.
Another enjoyable video Simon in a wonderful part of the country. In 2023 I was lucky to get a guided tour of the restored mill at West Somerton with a splendid chap who was involved in the project and who does conservation work in the Broads. Anyway, the journey and the video make a great watch. Keep paddling.
Simon I have to say, I really appreciate the effort you put into your filming. Backtracking on foot is one thing but in a canoe is just above and beyond in my book! It just makes the shot.
Coot club (Ransom) was my downfall too! Sailed all kinds of boat . Schooners, Pilot cutters, Mediterranean gin palaces But never happier than a Canadian Canoe on Martham Broad ….. Copacetic!
What Water rat said to Mole- “believe me my young friend there is nothing, absolutely nothing half so much worth doing as messing about in boats” wind in the willows. Very therapeutic and again enjoying the history
Bad windstorm August knocked tree onto me beginner ply William Jackson design 14 ft.; spent time patching her and insulated Cottage- roof patch almost complete. Go water rat !
My 1st bushcrafter to watch was Greg Ovens Rocky MT..Bushcraft, followed shortly by Bertram in the woods, Swedwoods, Corporal's Corner, Exploring with Marlo C who just got going not long ago & Simon, more or less in order of appearance. I'd be hard pressed to say who has better locations between Simon & Swedwoods, maybe followed closely by Greg Ovens & sometimes, Camping With Steve. Marlo's been getting some cool places out & around "Cow Hampshire" ( NH) recently so she's in the running!
Simon, your video shows the joy of being outdoors in the "off season". I find my favourite evening walks are in the dead of winter, during a snowfall, when most others are squirreled away. The streets are hushed and and the snow makes everything look pleasant! The Norfolk Broads are a treasure! Thanks for the video!
Opening scene is that gorgeous canoe. When I began watching your channel, you were building it. I was immediately hooked. This looks like a delightful trip as well. The Abby was probably my favorite due to the beauty of the stone/brick work. Stunning.
And remember the wonderful music. Simon makes the most pleasant videos on UA-cam because he gives great attention to details, a variety of skills, adventures, great meals and…wonderful music. Thank you, precisely, just what we needed, Simon…from an old vet, in the US foothills of the Smokies.
I made your camp fire curry for me and my mom today for dinner and we loved it thank you for your recipe from 3 years ago ! I always look forward for your next video! G.D.Luna
Another great video Simon, from my neck of the woods. Stew and dumplins, got to be done when in Norfolk. My granddaughters meal of choice when staying with nanny. The three sprouts were a great addition 😊
After the day I've had, phew. And looking at my new boat that I have not had the chance to get out yet,, this is a very welcome video. Nice one Simon as always
Simon, you and your videos are very delightful. I always try to stop what I'm doing at the moment to watch you. It's like a little vacation. Thank you and stay safe 🙏
This was well done. As I am not far from Inverness I have always thought of doing Loch Ness from start to finish. An easy few days with camping being the main challenge. Will have to look into this again
I’ve found myself gravitating towards your videos more and more over recent years. I’m in my early 30’s and the goings on in the world have provoked some poor mental health and your videos are a real escape from it all, It’s nice watching some local to me and that has some similar hobbies. So, thank you and all the best👍🏼
Thank you for bringing us along your trip, as promised, I've just finished & really enjoyed this part 1 while having my dinner. Eagerly waiting for part 2. Am planning for a simple solo one night camping next weekday, rain is expected but will take it as a challenge to perfecting my shelter building skills ...😋🤞🏻
What a lovely, chilled video. Thoroughly enjoyed watching. I know how much effort it takes to film and edit, so thank you for sharing your adventures ❤
That looked perfect. The cedar strip, the sound of the water, the tranquility, the autumn sun, the cool air, the food and wine and the camp spot. Nice and relaxing
Hi Simon..hi again..its been a while..😮loving the video.. it's so serene and quiet/peaceful.. hope you are keeping well... looking forward to part 2...stay safe..👍👍
My wife says I was watching this on my phone whilst smiling who whole time. Always a pleasant watch. Another great adventure Simon. Looking forward to part 2. Going to jump on eBay now. Interesting to know the price of a cheap canoe.
Takes me back...I'm from Dorset. But my parents always took holidays on broads..I'm a wild camper myself..Wimborne based. So new forest an purbecks are my go 2. But always hankering for the broads.
My last 2 trips to England, over 20 years ago, were both to Norfolk. Loved it there. Stayed with friends in Cromer, second trip was in a caravan on the beach at Bacton. Was at the Hickling Broads, because, at the time, my boss's last name was Hickling, so had to get a photo for her. I have to say, the morning shots of the sunrise in the mist, were breathtaking! Looking forward to part2!!
Well, you know people that finds treasure along the way they walk too are from. Why, thats because they do good things in their life. Plant good seed you will get good crops. You're the man Simon thanks for the video can't wait for part two.
Glad to see you back on the canoe I would like to see you try out inflatable kayaks and canoes as im sure you're cments on them would be honest and sensible. Also maybe camp out on more canoe camping tripson rivers and canals like the Stratford-upon-Avon to tueksbury stretch
Watching this wonderful video whilst sipping on a glass of wine only to see you doing the same thing. Love your work Simon! You are touching a lot of folks when you share your outdoor adventures. Thanks so much and love ya man!
You know it's unwind time when Simon is on....🤗
You have a knack for making the calmest, most soothing videos - particularly needed today - thank you.
Aaand exhale......The canoe videos are my absolute favourites. Bliss.
One of my fave
Well this was perfectly timed, needed this today. Really looking forward to part 2.
Thanks so much for your time and effort in the detailed filming, editing, and uploading. Thanks and gratitude to Mrs. In the Woods for loaning you out to us.

Thank you mate! 🙏🏻
Simon, you're here at just the right time, with just the right sort of soothing video. Totally needed it. That ended up a really lovely camp spot. Looking forward to part 2.
You're correct. I had a day. Not bad, not good, it was just a day. I needed this too
Fantastic video. You produce some of the best content, thanks.
Yes!
Haven't watched yet but a thumbs up for Simon already 🫡
Heh, heh, “Everything now is covered in wine and smells lovely”. Simon, glad you enjoyed your paddle. We did too, thank you…from an old vet, retired in the US foothills of the Smokies.

Lovely to see the cedar strip canoe out on the water again. Always a thing of beauty.
I love seeing the artifacts of architecture you feature. The peacefulness of your videos is so wonderful.
What a pleasant trip. Been a while since I passed under Potter Heigham Bridge. 1976 to be precise. Thanks for taking me back, Simon.
It doesn’t get any higher either! 😂👍
Simon I have to say, I really appreciate the effort you put into your filming. Backtracking on foot is one thing but in a canoe is just above and beyond in my book! It just makes the shot.
What a beautiful way to showcase your homeland. I sincerely enjoyed this presentation.
I adore Arthur Ransome's Swallows and Amazons books, including the stories set on the Broads. So fun to see these locations from your point of view!
Came here to say the same! Lovely to see the bridge at Potter Higham and imagine the members of the Coot Club easing their boat under it.
Coot club (Ransom) was my downfall too! Sailed all kinds of boat . Schooners, Pilot cutters, Mediterranean gin palaces
But never happier than a Canadian Canoe on Martham Broad ….. Copacetic!
@@Dinki-Di WAS THAT THE Margaurite I saw ? Watch out for those hulla-balooes ! ( spell-check ).
Thank you can’t wait to watch. 👌
That rising drone shot of the morning in "coming up next" part was beautiful. Thank you for sharing your wanderings with us.
Norfolk, misty and wonderful.
Yes - a beautifully eerie county especially over the Autumn and winter months.
Needed. Thanks. You always have the best music. And the calm water and plashing sounds are so soothing.
Such a great thing to read all the comments and notice what an excellent community the wild campers and fans of bushcraft/camping are. Thanks Simon!
My 1st bushcrafter to watch was Greg Ovens Rocky MT..Bushcraft, followed shortly by Bertram in the woods, Swedwoods, Corporal's Corner, Exploring with Marlo C who just got going not long ago & Simon, more or less in order of appearance.

They’re a lovely bunch aren’t they 😁
What a perfect way to wind down before bed. Theres always something about watching videos like this whilst tucked away in a warm bed. Great video!
Best UA-cam channel there is , so humble down to earth , and always fixing your Land Rover, another fantastic video buddy.
Thank you! I totally agree, the quietest times of year when nobody else is about are the best 👍
Opening scene is that gorgeous canoe. When I began watching your channel, you were building it. I was immediately hooked. This looks like a delightful trip as well. The Abby was probably my favorite due to the beauty of the stone/brick work. Stunning.
Thanks Simon. I needed this today.
Hi dear friend. I'm glad to see you again. Your videos are beautiful as usual
Outstanding yet again Simon , you’re content is unique 🇮🇪🇮🇪
We love paddling around on the Broads, anytime of the year, fantastic. Thanks for these videos 😊😊
Absolutely love your videos. Beautiful Swans! Even the one that hissed at you! Lol! ❤
That sunrise. With the early morning mist and the river like glass. Spectacular sight. Would make for a fantastic painting.
I agree & it's too bad somebody like Bob Ross isn't around to maybe try & recreate it as a painting
Haven't watched yet, but what a lift finding a new vid. I shall savour it. The opening bars of music have put me in a great mood.
So you are basically wild camping on the Broads ... I have camped on the side of the Broads but not quite as wild as this ... looks awesome
❤Simon just Love when you take out your Canoe❤❤❤camp and cook❤ cant wait for the next part❤
You can’t get a much better surrounding than the Broads when it’s a nice sunny day nice one, Mr
Simon, I really enjoy your videos and thanks for taking us along !!! Yours are my favorite to watch and are never long enough !!!
There's my therapy right there, thanks Simon 👍
Nature , canoeing and a beautiful campsite, nothing beats that !❤️

Loved this, nothing better than watching someone drift down the broads in canoe in the sunshine!
Thank for sharing the video. Always tranquil music at the beginning. So nice to see the Broads.
Another great video Simon, from my neck of the woods. Stew and dumplins, got to be done when in Norfolk. My granddaughters meal of choice when staying with nanny. The three sprouts were a great addition 😊

Thank you or showing us the Abby and so many parts of your country. Most of us will never have the opportunity to visit these places.
Awesome and outstanding content as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along.
Great aerial shots with the drone.
Luv the single storey wooden houses along the bank. Perfect place to live in Winter but not the peak holiday season.
This year has been a total sxxt show for me health wise so I love your videos and Marc and Andy. You have all gotten me through so far
Simon, you and your videos are very delightful. I always try to stop what I'm doing at the moment to watch you. It's like a little vacation. Thank you and stay safe 🙏
BRILLIANT! Simon... Back to his best, great to see the canoe back in action. Fantastic!
Good to see the cedar strip canoe repaired and out on the water again. No rapids in the Broads!
Thankfully! 😅
and once again you have saved me from the drudgery of work....and you are in a canoe! a beautiful craft
This was well done. As I am not far from Inverness I have always thought of doing Loch Ness from start to finish. An easy few days with camping being the main challenge.
