That may have at least a *little* something to do with some jackwagon uploading a video about it two weeks ago. Also highly region dependent. There are always a few dozen listed on US eBay, though prices will range from $25ish to a buy-it-now price of $140, the latter of which I have to assume is a joke.
I have this GPU in my Media PC, which has an i7-4770 and 16GBs of DDR3 memory. I got it for $16 on ebay in June of 2023. It was quite the buy. Works well for what I do with the PC, which is primarily media consumption and emulation. It won't wow ya with gaming performance in many modern titles, but it gets the job done.
“Ti is short for ‘titanium’” for life! If I ever join the tEe-EyE gang I’m going all in and referring to Super variants as S-U-P-E-R 🤣 And thank you! As much of a slog as it is to produce these things - I’m terrible with a camera and worse with Resolve lol - it really does mean a lot to see positive feedback!
I’ve been weighing whether I want to check out the WX 4100 or 3200! On paper they *should* be similar, just can’t decide which to pull the trigger on… And thank you!
Very true! Although $20/pr for fans (I priced these out) vs $30 for the whole card makes it a difficult proposition...and the 750Ti would still be old at the end of the day. If you have one already, definitely worth a look; if you're looking to buy a card for a dumpster Dell conversion, though, probably not. That said, I do have a plan for this one!
I would guess it would easily do 150+ but I haven’t really benchmarked Valorant in forever. When I tested the GTS 450, which is objectively less powerful card, it pushed like 180fps on average.
But "Ti" as shorthand for "titanium" has been pronounced as a monosyllabic word, "tie", for sixty years. At least in the American English lexicon. Before the 560Ti launched I'd never even heard someone say Ti as "tee eye". The 3090Ti unveiling also explicitly made it "3090 'tie'". But if you want to call it a "tee eye", I'm not gonna stop you. In response, though, all Super variants reviewed henceforth will be pronounced as "ess ewe pee ee arr" variants on the channel, though 🤪
if not for the silly price w4300 radeon pro would be a better match for this one for some reason those are either sold on scalper prices or really cheap and disapear but you can find oem 4gb rx550 for les and that is basically what this is in my area wx4100 is also cheaper at twice the performance
There is also the K2200 that you could compare with this gpu (basically the quadro version of the 750ti) that has 4 gigabytes of vram, no power connector, support almost full dx12 and is dirt cheap but no LP bracket unfortunately
Lucky for me, I have one! Seriously lol And a K2000! I have shelves of old workstation cards, from dumpster tier units like the NVS295 (worse than a GT210!) and Quadro 600 up through one-time powerhouses like the W7100, W9100, and WX7100.
Congratulations on the channel, can you help me with a question? I'm writing from Brazil, I'm thinking about purchasing an amd pro 4gb wx3200, will it be a good choice? my computer is a Ryzen 5 5600GT 1T of storage with 32 Gb of ram. thank you for your attention
Not sure if this is a question you can answer but Would this card be better than Intel® UHD Graphics 730? I don’t really need to game. I’m more interested in transcoding for Plex since I have a i3-12100 in my NAS.
It’s got the AMD VCE hardware transcoding solution, so it should perform well for Plex transcoding. Although I can’t say if it’ll do anything better than Intel QSV will, although for continuous transcode (for media streaming) it will likely manage thermals better.
old games prove how companies are fooling us through driver gimping. ofc 1080ti doesn't get driver updates and gets beaten by the 3060 but in old games it destroys even the 4060
Thought about that, opted not to because that’s just testing the die against itself and coming to the conclusion that the higher memory clock and power limit on the retail card make it faster in games that lean on memory bandwidth, while the higher (factory) boot clock on the Radeon Pro GPU make it marginally faster when memory bandwidth isn’t an issue and the card is allowed to boost within its power budget.
Yup, Ti for Titanium, the branding they creatively “borrowed” from Texas Instruments while trying to edgelord in the early 2000s, presumably because adding an X onto GT was no longer edgy enough.
Hey if you want to be team “tee eye”, that’s your prerogative! …we cyclists have always known Ti was short for “titanium”, a material which we’ve been calling “ti” since it hit the market.
After it “crashes” does Adrenaline say that there are no compatible video cards found, or something like that? If that’s the case it’s Windows and is a suuuuuper easy fix.
I can’t say I ever had that happen. What drivers, specifically? If you’re using the 24.3.1 drivers, try the Pro drivers instead (23.Q4 or whatever?). Two other things to try: In your system settings, disable Windows autodetecting and installing drivers. That fixes 95% of issues with Radeon cards. The other is to install the atikmdag patch. Fixes most other AMD crash issues.
@@Sneezr That error I did experience. Okay, then DDU and try 24.3.1 for Polaris/Vega. *Then* go into your system settings and disable auto installing drivers.
