I like your videos. Not too many criminal justice videos out there. I have a college certificate in criminal justice and am currently looking into associate degrees in justice. I'm researching so many schools, there are tons. I'm looking at private colleges as I'm not a fan of public institutions. Thanks for the videos about school. Wish you luck on your educational and career journey.
Thank you! I’m so happy to hear you enjoy my content. Congrats! on your certificate. What career are you considering? I wish you the best with your school search 💕
@jazminetanaya thank you. I'm looking specifically to work in security services in a management/supervisory position. Someday I will run my own security service.
@@josephb4086don’t spend too much on your degree. It’s some low costing school to complete your CJ degree. Don’t want to gain a bunch of college debt if you don’t have to.
How extensive is the background checks when entering the Criminal Justice field? If you have a past history of drug abuse or bad credit or not so great job history do they look at these things and does it keep you from graduating with a degree or from being accepted at all? It would be awful to get through school and graduate but bc you have a couple of things from your past, keep you from obtaining a career.... what things do they look for and what will keep you from a career in Criminal justice?
Hello beautiful I have a question I am getting my bachelors of science in correctional support service any advice I’m in Albany ga I’m attending university of phoenix. I wanted to get my bachelors in social work but they don’t have that course here! I’m 49 and want to make sure I’m not wasting precious time. I know for a fact I don’t need be a correctional officer or probation officer I’m looked up careers and it said we help people affected by the criminal justice system. I too am only 5 ft tall. I agree with everything you saying I’mbuilt ford tough and all but I choose to pick my tough😂
Well first off congrats on school! 🥳 secondly, I would say go for it! If it doesn’t require any experience, is there a way for you to do some work in the field while getting your degree? just so you can have a feel for it to see if it’s something you would def want to pursue. I know sometimes you can’t but it’s always nice to ask and find out. I also think that degree would be good to have in the event you want to branch off and do other things you have that on your resume. ☺️ idk if i’m correct but it seems as though you’ll be doing more to help inmates so you probably won’t have much to worry about. I hope this helps!
I am a criminal justice major that is almost done. I applied for several jobs that asked for transcript and did not hire because I had not finished my Bachelors. So yes some criminal justice jobs require a degree. One job was Juvenile Probation turned me down because I had not yet graduated.
