- An amazing version of a Led Zepplin Classic and one of my favorite Led Zepplin songs. Tool is killer! #tool #guitar #toolreaction #guitarsolo #guitarreaction #reactionchannel #reaction #reactionvideo #progressivemetal
It wouldn't be the amazing thing that it is without the original, but TOOL owns it now.
This is also my favourite led zeppelin song... Imagine my amazment when i found out my favourite band covered my favourite Zep tune way back
Great reaction. I’m a 57 year old drummer. Loved them from the beginning. Just saw them 11/11 in Connecticut they still have it. Awesome show. Keep going a lot of good tracks on Fear Inoculum
Awesome! Thank you!
Love to see the joy on your face as you are listening to my favourite band of all time . !!
And in the last minute they break into Rush. Love this rendition of No Quarter!
Letting a song coalesce into something else is Tools middle name.
This might be my favorite cover of all time 🤘
Yeah, he used a megaphone a lot in the first fifteen or so years, live.
I saw em in 01, 02, 11, 13 and Leap night 2020
Your reactions are a breath of fresh air! Can’t wait to see and hear what else you have in the works for Tool. Also, it’s probably been said to you already, but be sure to check out Maynard’s other projects, Puscifer and A Perfect Circle.
Greatness...
Adam's heavily rolled-off guitar tone, especially when playing octaves, really creates the stark dark mood. It adds to the desperation Maynard is putting into the vocals and the utter bleakness of the situation. Brilliant.
Before getting into Tool decades ago, I equated guitar playing with the ability to shred. Adam Jones changed my mind. He almost never shreds but is the master of sound and mood. So creative.
He is definitely great at setting the mood, many of my favorite players are not Shredders, but magicians when it comes to creating a mood or evoking emotion. Thank you for the comment.
Great reaction! Would love to see your reaction to the rest of the Salival album!! Definitely a must hear for any Tool fan!!
Spiral out, keep going 🌀 🌀 🙏
Thank you.
Don't get me wrong I really love the original but this one has a more euphoric vibe to it which I love
I especially love the sound of the toms in this mix
Love your face watching these. Open and honest and using a musical ear. Bravo
Thanks for watching and commenting. More Tool to come.
Never been a fan of cover versions, but this realy is the dogs bollocks, superb. Love Tool to death, very very clever and unique band. Great analysis, agreed with everything you said 👌
thank you for taking the time to watch, more to come.
🤘🏻🌀
Checkout their song Pushit
new subscriber, i have been watching all your polyphia reactions and really enjoy them. Tool is my favorite band and Im so glad you did this reaction i have always loved this cover, its a fuckin masterpiece. keep up the good work!
Thanks you for the sub. Also, nice to hear you watched other videos I did of other bands. I really appreciate the comment.
Great reaction video, you have to do reactions from the Lateralus album. Congrats for you
Fernando, many more to come. I just did the song Lateralus and will check the rest of the album out.
I’m here for all of it..,, since your reaction channel name is guitar solos are you familiar with Dimebag Darryl? His solos are just on another level good
Of course I know Dimebag,, I'm going start doing reactions to my favorite guitar solos of from records and there several that i have in mind for Dimrbag.
@@GuitarSoloReactions one of Dimes hidden gems is on the last Pantera album Reinventing the Steel, the song It makes them Disappear has one of the best solos in his catalog
Rumor was this was developed for inclusion on "Encomium", but as there is only so much room on a CD it got pushed off to make room for the likes of "Hootie and the Blowfish" and "4 Non Blondes" doing some of the shorter tunes. Eventually released on the box-set-of-leftovers "Salival" although there was a bootleg MP3 (studio/board but maybe not quite this final mix) for years before that back to around when "Encomium" was, and a few live performances too.
(the other rumor was it was for the Stern "Private Parts" soundtrack or companion album, 95 or 97, either rumor fits more or less)
I barely remember Encomium tribute record, like most tribute records I didn’t like most of the covers. Tool’s version would have been a highlight if included. I just listened too most of the tracks are not good.except Dancin Days by StoneTemple Pilots.
@@GuitarSoloReactions The Hootie one wasn't that terrible, but yes the STP was probably the best on there. Haven't heard it in forever...
🌀keep going! 💨🥦😎
Many more to come.
This may be blasphemous but I think this is better than Zeps. I love the Zep version as well but this is amazing
@GuitarSoloReactions is your opening tune C.O.C riff
No, just part of song I wrote, thought it would be a good intro. Thanks for the comment.
@@GuitarSoloReactions man it sounds great. We should collaborate 😁
@@guylewis477I have plenty of riffs.
Love the zeppelin version, but TOOL just did it better
This cover ruined the original for me lol
Not deep and nasty enough in this sound like Led Zeppelin. The mood is not scarey enough....it doesn't seem desperate enough. It sounds flat and not emotional enough. Don't like it!!!😊😊😊
Thanks for watching.
