I’ll be interested to see the results you get with that dilution. I think this is a brilliant product but I never apply it across the whole lawn. It doesn’t kill the grass but it doesn’t do it any good either. I keep a small 1.5 litre sprayer full with this and just spot weed every few weeks. I have found that you need more like 20ml per litre to guarantee great results. I think you might be a bit light here with this dilution but let’s see how it goes 👍🏼
Brilliant stuff I use it once a year then change to resolva in spring. AS you can only use weedol once per year and resolva concentrate twice per year. In total you can treat lawn 3x per year will also prevent poa from germinating.
Wow......does it really stop poa from germinating? I didn't know that ! What a great tip,thank you. Poa and leather jackets are a nightmare for me.........Will definitely try the 3 times a year approach from next year 👍 👍 👍
When I first used this I done it twice per year for the 1st 2 years even though instructions say once per year because my lawn was heavily contaminated with weeds and lawn was fine . Every year after those 2 years I barely get weeds now , absolutely love this product.
I'll look into doing this next year. This lawn isn't too bad with weeds usually. Different story in the back - not tons, but enough for it to become annoying.
@richardgould2422 yea because a pre emergent weed killer stops grass seed from germinating. That's why you can't overseed when you've put lawn weed killer down, after about six week you can overseed, poa grows late autumn early spring it germinates in cooler temps, so if you time it right you can stop germination of the poa annua. But if you already have poa annua it won't kill it l. Just helps to prevent it!
This is only the case if treating the whole lawn. If spot weeding there is no limit. Hence why personally I don’t think it’s worth applying to the whole lawn if you’ve only a few weeds. It doesn’t kill the lawn but it doesn’t do it any good either
Sooo could I fill up a 15 litre sprayer and put 225 ml in?

I use A1 Lawn's Premiership Pro mix.
I buy the ready mixed resolva weedkiller, that kills weeds, not lawns, and it comes in its own spray bottle. I have not tried it yet as I have recently seeded my lawns from bare soil. Gave them its first cut today after just seeding 21 days ago. But while I was in the range I saw a box on offer of doff complete 4 in 1 granules, which is a lawn feed, and also a moss and weed killer. It has fertilisers, iron and also weedkillers that will only kill weeds, not harm the grass. So will be interesting to see how both products work next Spring, as I am sure the odd weed or two would have appeared on my new lawns by that time.
I tried the resolva (not one for lawn use) and it did terribly...my weeds in my side alley are still flourishing!!!
@@StillBillz you want to get a strong glyphosate concentrate for those if it is just weeds you want to kill, try Gallup, or the strong ones from elixir gardens, they have a much higher amount of glyphosate in grams per litre than the ones you buy off the shelf in place like b&m and home bargains etc.
Just cut my lawn but will wait the 3 days as recommended - why gamble?
I don't know why I use weedol as I am never impressed by it. I have used Resolva this year and was unimpressed with that too. is there a lawn weed killer that actually is any good?
Dont forget when you cut the lawn after this treatment to leave grass cuttings on the lawn so try not to leave it to grow to long
Really? Is this to continue the weed killing process? I thought you just weren’t meant to compost the first few cuts.
@@RichardABW it's says on the instruction to leave the 1st cut on the lawn I'm also guessing to like you said to continue the killing process, it also says the next 3 cutting should be composted well for 9 months before using it as mulch and not to dispose of it via council composting schemes.

Just bought the liquid dilutable Weedol, the instructions say...
"Then measure 15ml with 1 litre of water in a sprayer or with 5 litres of water in a watering can"
So I am using a 5 litre watering can. Do I just add 15ml or do I add 15ml per litre, i.e 75ml of weedol?

How long should you wait after overseeding before using it?
I usually put this down about 1 or 2 weeks before over seeding. You're usually fine after that time, especially if it has rained during the week.
He asked AFTER overseeding though.
Is this safe for pets ?
Might of been easier to just spot spray your weeds pal? I use resolva lawn weedkiller spray.......when mowing if you see a weed give it a couple of squirts and forget ,next mow the weed has gone . I've used that weedol and if I remember it did nothing for 2 weeks then it started to work,think it needed a few hits too? Garden is looking good tho pal 👌 👍
It's good he done the whole lawn as weeds are good at hiding there could be baby shoots hidden under the blades
After overseeding or applying brand new seed, when is it safe to use this?
